You can go have this discussion with chatgpt and it will be the exact same thing as talking to gutter. All he is going to do is ask chatgpt to respond to you. The guy has no thoughts that he doesn't look up. You're essentially just arguing with a bot.

It's a COI because if he has access to payments, he can see what his potential competitors costs are and what they're paying vendors. But at this point, I don't really care. I hope he keeps doing what he's doing.

Chelsea Clinton got $84 Million from USAID?!?!
nobody replied to avoiding injuries's topic in The Geek Club
I don't know if Chelsea got any money or not, but if snopes thinks she didn't get funneled money because USAID didn't write a check for 84 million with "for fraud" in the memo line that she reported on her taxes, they're retarded. This is the Clintons. They'd set up some foundation to funnel the money through and then have some corporation that they have some obfuscated affiliation essentially launder the money so they can claim it's legal. And if all that came to light, snopes and the lefties here would still find a way to say it was all kosher. -

It's working. Elon running this mf'er like a start up company. Get in. Disrupt. Fail fast. Iterate. Get the job done... while everyone on the sidelines yells about not following enough bureaucracy. -
I can't believe pj tucker is still in the league.

I think it's great that we are all thinking about areas to eliminate waste. Good job by OMB here. -

To be fair, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Elon did make a copy of that data with the intention of mining it first and foremost to identify waste, but we don't know if he would have also had intended to keep it as a data trove that can be mined to help twitter profit or to help influence elections, etc. It would likely be pretty valuable resource for various analytics firms that I'm sure he wouldn't mind distilling down into reports and selling. -

I'd be shocked if Elon didn't already have a very high clearance given his affiliation with SpaceX. -

You'll find waste at DoD contractors, but must of the time it isn't corporate fraud. I mean individuals are committing fraud in that they are charging the government while working from home and I know they're out walking their dog and doing laundry and charging that to the government. Elon should come in and identify those people and they should be fired immediately and hopefully brought up on charges. But the vast majority of waste coming from contractors is from incompetence and not fraud. Big DoD contractors like Boeing, Lockheed, Northrop, Raytheon... all of these companies are full of some of the crappiest workers you've ever seen. And the culture is that it doesn't matter if you screw up. You'll just get more money to fix your screw up. If Elon can come in and force a twitter like purge where they cut a blanket 25%, that's instant savings to the government. -

Are you talking about this? https://www.reuters.com/world/us/musks-doge-agents-access-sensitive-opm-personnel-data-washington-post-reports-2025-02-06/ If so, if that data is considered to be either Confidential, Secret or Top Secret. Trump could grant Elon and his team appropriate clearances, and given that they need the data to do their job, they have demonstrable need-to-know and therefore should have access to the data. Now if he downloaded data that is classified to a private server Hillary style, that is a violation and he would be subject to an investigation and the data would need to be contained, the server likely wiped, and any other servers, or hard drives would need to be wiped, but that in general would be a slap on the wrist type thing. -

That would also be against the law. Not only is that money already allocated, the overcharging in many cases comes from specific laws that need to be followed, ironically, to keep people from committing fraud. But that's a good idea. We should do that. DCMA already audits defense contractors. So that data is there. And Elon basically set the model of how to do this stuff with SpaceX. I toured their facilities. If a government stipulated process doesn't make sense, they just don't follow it. He should definitely force the big DoD contractors to do that. -

Okay, man. Let's start at the top since everything below it flows from that. What data was stolen? -

These guys want to create a committee to talk about getting work done instead of applauding the guy who rolled up his sleeves and is just getting work done. This some corporate middle manager sh¡t if I've ever seen it. -

You guys ever try to change something at work? This conversation reminds me of that. It's always a bunch of made up reasons why something won't work. All because they just don't won't it done. Because when you want to pull in that direction you talk about ways to help make it happen. Why on earth would anybody be against not wasting\stealing money? And from the looks of some of these line items coming out, we're clearly either bribing people or people are stealing it. Why aren't we all cheering this? Even if it's a drop in the bucket, it can be the pilot for something more impactful. Even if the president doesn't have the authority to pull funding, we should be able to trigger a review and get the funding held and reallocated. It's just amazing to me that because OMB is involved we don't want to do something that is so obviously moving in the right direction. -

You guys always say this, and then we never start looking at anything. Gotta start somewhere, and this is the low hanging fruit. -

All I'm saying is I trust my evaluation over the draft pundits. Steve Smith and Chris Simms were the only people that seem to get it right on a regular basis. -
You don't seem like the Jonsey I remember. The Jonsey I remember wouldn't try to hide. Style is off. You post more like oldmaid. Jonsey I remember was confident. You post like someone trying to look confident.

That's what I do too, but I didn't have 150% return since this thread started. Plus I have a self directed IRA that outperformed the S&P thanks to nvda.

Dallas Mavericks Trade Doncic for Lakers Anthony Davis
nobody replied to Strike's topic in The Geek Club
The history of big men after age 34 isn't great, so I doubt AD will be a good return on investment, but based on all the overreactions by the media, I'm starting to think Luka won't be great for the Lakers either. Whenever the media gets like this where it's like they feed off each other with stronger and stronger reactions that come off as more emotional than quantitative, they usually are wrong, and no one wants to speak up on the other side for fear of being on the wrong side of the cool kids who's main point is, "omg, I can't believe how stupid this is!" Luka doesn't play defense. He doesn't stay in shape. He's not always a great teammate. The narrative that none of that matters and you should mortgage your franchise to have him on your roster at any and all costs isn't necessarily correct. He can easily turn into a James Harden where he's a great player and certainly a star, but the type of guy that you can't win a championship with and kind of holds your franchise hostage. -
He didn't willingly overpay for twitter. He made an offer he tried to back out of but courts ruled was binding. Then he flooded the market with TSLA stock to recoup his twitter investment at the cost of TSLA shareholders. Then he used the Twitter platform to help get Trump elected and gain power for himself in the process.

I was curious about that, too, since I would love to have a larger retirement. I even start typing out questions. Then I remembered that this is the internet and that is probably complete horseshìt.
