Running style quarterbacks don't win in the playoffs very often. A running QB has never won a super bowl. The ideal is a QB who is an accurate, creative, and thoughtful passer that can run when he has to. Vick and to a lesser degree Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen rely on their legs too much. From week to week teams don't cope with the change in style well when the time to practice and develop game plans is limited. In the playoffs, teams get ready for that style and shut them down. Mahomes is ideal. Jayden Daniels looks to have the right mix as well.

I'm concerned about these games. Especially the road teams. They are asking teams that played Sunday to travel presumably on Tuesday to play Wednesday. This is nuts to me. Not to mention the Steelers and Texans both were on the road week 16, and are now travelling again. I don't understand how players are going to have time to get treatment, and I assume they just don't practice or install a game plan at all. For me that means I might sit Joe Mixon for Jerome Ford. Thankfully, that's my only key Christmas day player.

The other thing to be aware of... Since it's the last week of the year, I go in and drop all my handcuffs and basically convert my roster to the guys I think will be good week 17 and week 17 only. Well, I know I'm not playing Russell Wilson, but due to the Wednesday games, ESPN wouldn't let me put him as a drop for waivers, so I had to pre-drop dangeRuss to free up the roster spot. Moral of the story is that if you know you aren't playing a guy in these Wednesday games and may want to use that roster spot, make sure to drop them before the games start tomorrow.
