I didn't say anything that I haven't said before. I've said myriad times that I wish Ukraine would consider giving up the taken turf in order to get peace. I still support the West helping Ukraine. The only difference here is the prospect of this turning into a pointless stalemate with a U.S. presidential election year coming. The offensive has made progress as Ukraine has changed its tactics to hit supply lines and other targets well behind the front instead of trying to grind through minefield under heavy artillery fire. Lots of positive stories out today about the gains the offensive has made.

He's not going to admit it. He's just going to sit there in his office chair, with his little feetsies dangling in the air, finding ways to be angry at the world.

This is a gross and ignorant assumption about what I do, and I wouldn't want you as a client for any amount of money. Plus, I'd have to drop a few hundred bucks to get a New Jersey license, which wouldn't be worth my time and expense. You seem like the type who would go through Select Quote and find the cheapest thing and feel good about yourself for thinking you beat the system. With what company do you have life insurance?

He's an estate planner and does a lot more than insurance. What's wrong with life insurance? Do you not have any?

I like what I do. A lot of agents never retire. I don't know if he's still alive, but a few years ago the company put out an email celebrating the 100th birthday of an agent who was still going in to work every day at the home office. I live in the same community with one of the company's top agents. He makes millions a year, not including a stout pension, and just gives it all to charity because he's got more than enough money. I'd definitely create a foundation to benefit local charities. Like you, I'd just stay in this house and fix it up (adding a free-standing building for the foster cats) and then buy one in the Rocky Mountains somewhere and live there in the summers. It was focking 107 here yesterday.

I'm getting ahead of the game, little mister. You wanna fight about it? -
I'd prefer to live on what I make now without the pressure to have to make it. And then just forget that I've got half a billion in the bank. I'm sure it never works out like that. Maybe I'd just enter BeenHereBefore into the 2024 election and pay every voter $1,000 who votes for him. Then we'd have a dysfunctional country that didn't take itself seriously. Who's with me?

7.9 Taco Cabana. Yeah, I know 7.8 hasn't picked yet. It's not like it's the Justin Jefferson of fast-food places. -

I enjoy these things as well. The country music draft was great. -
If Ukraine hadn't bloodied Russia's nose and repelled a full-scale takeover of the country, the world would not be a better place. Russian expansion is not a good thing. It creates all kinds of instability, and god knows what they'd be doing to the Ukrainian people if they'd pulled off what they had planned. We're talking genocide here, and they've shown from the beginning that this is what they are. This kind of autocratic aggression has no place in the world, and I'm perfectly fine with the help we've given them and will continue to give them. But with a potential stalemate looming on the horizon, it's time for those fockers to work it out and move on from this bloody mess.

Yes, it has been my experience that telling them it's going to be OK is reassuring. The last time I saw my dad alive, I went over to hospice and told him that I'd take good care of mom. Hospice told me he likely would hang on a few weeks, but he died that night. Same thing happened with my wife. She saw him and hospice, told him she loved him and had forgiven him for being neglectful over the years. He died that night.

Don't get me wrong. I support Western support for Ukraine and would like to see Ukraine win. I don't regret my past position on this war and have always taken a practical viewpoint of it. But Western support is waning as the war slowly is working toward a stalemate, and it doesn't help that winter and a U.S. presidential year approaches. Russia is weak and slowly is losing ground, but it has created a formidable defensive network that a military hasn't faced in almost a century. Urkaine doesn't have the air power needed to overcome that, and Russia doesn't have the resources to take back any more ground. I've stated many times before that I wish Ukraine would just let go of the Russian gains and end the war, and it has gained back roughly half of what Russia had gained. But as things thing grinds to a stalemate, it's time for the two sides to suck it up and end this thing. No one knows what the United States and other nations are doing behind closed doors to and this thing. I have to think they're doing something. Don't you?

I'd probably take the lump sum, invest a chunk it in my own company and wind up being Advisor of the Year. Then the usual stuff of paying off the house and vehicles, renovating the house, traveling and having homes elsewhere. I'd also build a cat paradise elsewhere on the property to get all but one or two out of the house. Then just hang on to the rest and ensure that future generations never run out of money.

I'm under the opinion at this point that both sides needs to cut their losses and come to a peace agreement. 1.) Russia gets to keep what it has. 2.) Russia pays reparations. 3.) Russia accepts Ukraine joining NATO so this doesn't happen again. Ukraine needs to weigh how far this offensive can go before winter sets in vs. waning West support and battlefield loss of life. While the offensive is making slow progress, I don't think Ukraine has what it takes to kick Russia out of Crimea and elsewhere gains have been made. With the aforementioned agreement, no one gets what they want, this thing ends, and the world is a better place. Russia can't take over Ukraine, and Ukraine likely can't reclaim all of the territory it lost.

All of those closed in my area. Not sure why. The place always seemed busy, and I like the sammiches. -
I felt he same way about my dad. He was 87 when he went in corotid-artery surgery, and the plaque was much worse than the surgeons expected. They thought they got it all, but a piece broke off and caused a massive stroke. He hung on for two months, but then his body shut down, and he passed. My sons were very young at the time, but they at least got to know him, and I've made sure to keep him alive in their hearts and minds, telling them over the years everything I remember about him. With my dad, it was always about the adventures - hunting, hiking, camping, exploring, etc. That inspired me to make sure to do the same things with my sons. Instead of giving them things, I've given them memories: Grand Canyon, camping, skiing, Big Bend, Smokey Mountains, the beach, hiking 14'ers. I keep my dad alive by emulating and even trying to improve upon the best that was in him, and my sons will pass on what they know of him and me to their children.
