My wife and I went to Chicago last year for vacation, and it was a great trip. We were supposed to go to a White Sox game, but it was raining like fock, so we knew it would be a rain out. I saw that "Tommy" was playing, and we decided to try to go to that. I've never seen this happen before, but there were ZERO tickets available on any site, not even crazy expensive ones. My wife called the theater and asked if we could just show up and maybe get in somehow, and she was told no. But then the guy said, "Check our website. I think a couple of tickets just became available." She went on, and the two tickets were front row, just a little right of center Only $130 apiece. Well hell yeah! Had a great Italian dinner near the theater beforehand. The wife had never heard the album "Tommy," had zero idea of the story line and had only a vague recollection of the song "Pinball Wizard." The show was so fanfuckingtastic that it left her in tears. What we didn't know was that this was a new version of "Tommy," and it debuted in Chicago and is now on Broadway. Jerry and his family are in for a treat, boyos!

Pick all the nits you want, but your original point was that this guy gave up a federal job to go back to the minors, but what you can't get your jelly brain around is that the federal job was only temporary. He stepped in as an acting role until the attorney general could find a permanent assistant attorney general. Can you admit that he was only in the position in an acting role instead of it being a situation where he left the job for the one he has now?

The attorney general appointed him as an ACTING assistant attorney general, which means the guy knew all along that the job was temporary and eventually he'd be replaced with a permanent one. Biden appointed Matthew Colangelo as ACTING associate attorney general and stepped aside when a permanent associate district attorney was appointed, even though he continued working as a deputy who supervised lawyers. He, like other Republicans who voted for the bill, saw the importance of supporting Ukraine. It's OK for people to change their minds once they have all the facts, like Dr. Fauci did regarding masks. Trump met with the Polish leader and got some new information and perspective. I'd bet money that Trump's influence had something to do with the bill's succes. But hardline MAGAturds will continue to not support Ukraine, despite their beloved leader perhaps changing his stance on the issue.
