With friends like Peefoam, who needs enemas?
  2. Gangs operating inside the U.S. Military. https://www.gangenforcement.com/gangs-in-the-military.html It has been estimated that up to 2 percent of U.S. military personnel have gang affiliations. The United States has provided more than $75 billion in aid to Ukraine. https://www.cfr.org/article/how-much-aid-has-us-sent-ukraine-here-are-six-charts That $40 million represents 0.053 percent of that figure. Not only that, but a Ukraine investigation MAGAturds were whining about needing led to the $40 million discovery, so MAGAturds pivot to whining about that. Whiny, whiny MAGAturds.

That was the first song Led Zeppelin played together. Afterward, they just looked at each other and thought, "HOLY FOCK! WHAT HAVE WE HERE?" On their last tour, of Europe in mid-1980, they opened with it. Some of those European shows are great, and Plant sounds like he did in 1971, singing "Rock 'n' Roll" like he did on the album and not like he did on "Song Remains the Same."

I wish there was some legit fly fishing somewhere near me. I'd give it a go. It's pretty much bass, bass, bass around here.

    Favorite Aerosmith album

Definitely "Rocks," but I've always kind of liked "Night in the Ruts" and even "Rock in a Hard Place," even though they had fill-ins on guitar.

No love for new Green Day release ?

I lived in Austin in summer 1984 and hung out with some of them and the Big Boys. Little did I know how awesome that time was in Austin music. The Butts were one of the best live bands ever.

Mine was Big Boys, with Fear a close second.

I saw them live, and it changed everything. A good friend was way into punk and alternative music. He introduced me to a lot of stuff. We both were home for the summer from college and had day jobs. By night, we'd go explore the Houston music scene. The Dead Kennedys were playing a venue near downtown. We got in line, and it was culture shock for me, seeing all the punks, with piercings, fish heads, etc. I was scared at first but started to get into the vibe. Houston police back then had a terrible reputation. A Houston police car passed by, and dozens of beer cans and bottles went flying from the line and hit the car. I thought I was going to wind up in jail, but the cop car hit its sirens once and just kept going. I was blown away that people could get away with such a thing. I was never the same after that in regard to authority. I was punk rock. The lineup was Really Red, a Houston punk band, a young Butth0le Surfers and Dead Kennedys. The Butts made a huge impression. But the DKs, oh my. They weren't mosh pits back then. They were SLAM pits, and people were getting bloodied in there. People were climbing the speaker stacks and just launching themselves into the pit. Jello Biafra had a broken foot or something and was ranting around on stage on crutches, which just made it even crazier. I was never the same after that.

This is pretty kick ass. Reminds me a little bit of Husker Du's "Zen Arcade." The same weekend we saw Amyl in Austin, we saw The Chats, and they were great as well. I'm enjoying the stuff their former guitarist Pricey is putting out on YouTube.

Great! I hope they get super duper huge. They deserve. My favorite band to come along since Kings of Leon and their first two albums, before they became focking soccer-mom-pandering sellouts. One of the most boring concerts I've ever seen. I don't need a 30-minute jam on something, but they played everything note for note like on the album. Focking boring.

You should check out Amyl and the Sniffers. Best band out of Australia since AC/DC. Their two most recent albums are focking epic. I saw them at a small venue in 2022 and managed to get a pic with the crazy front woman. And then we saw them again in Dallas a few months ago, and I was in line to buy a shirt, and the guitar player came out and started watching the Texas Rangers game. I got my shirt, walked up and said hello, and as it turns out, he's become a huge baseball fan. He was so cool and approachable They put on a great show and were out of there in 70 minutes. Imagine AC/DC meets Led Zeppelin meets early 1980s punk. They forge all this stuff together and make it sound new.

I 100 percent agree with this.

That's EXACTLY how I thought about it. "American Idiot" is their last great album. "21st Century Breakdown" is OK, but he rest of it is just like you said. I saw them live not long ago, and I don't need to see a band like that play for more than three hours. The last punkish show I saw was done in 70 minutes, and that was perfect.

    Colorado 14'ers

Yeah, they're next to each other, and hikers just go down a saddle to climb the other. Stroll is fine with me. In researching the 14'ers, the easiest is one called Handies Peak, but it's way southwest down by Durango. I've driven to Colorado many times, but man that's a haul. I wasted like four days on the road. Yeah, it can be done in a day, but I don't want to spend all that time in the truck. I think flying into Denver and renting a Jeep is the way to go. Maybe catch Grays and Torreys and one or two others. Looked at the Red Rocks calendar and didn't see anything enticing, although seeing the Avette Brothers there a few years ago was super cool. I've done tons of whitewater rafting and mountain biking in Colorado. The Monarch Crest Trail was a blast. But I need me some 14'er fix. That's funny you mentioned the about Coloradoans. Pretentious outdoorsmanship.

That's good to know it's not a hard one. It was like Disney World when we got to Bierstadt. The summit was just covered with people. I've done some where we were the only souls on the peak. Sherman was like that.

Yeah, and I don't want any of that, with spending the night, ropes, ladders over crevices and crampons and stuff. I just like trudging along. Mount Rainier looked terrifying from the visitor's center there. You couldn't even see all of it due to the rain and fog. I'd love to hike to the first Mount Everest base camp. But even when I was in my best shape, I didn't want anything to do with climbing that focker. We recently watched "14 Peaks: Nothing is Impossible," about that crazy focker who climbed all 8,000-meter-plus peaks in seven months. He blazed up and down Everest as if he were taking a brisk walk through Central Park. Excuse me! Coming through!

I feel the same way about Colorado people. Have you done a 14'er? Other than driving up Pike's Peak, I want the hike to be as easy as possible. I didn't care much for climbing over boulders on Bierstadt, and Princeton was just an all-day beating. I think I drank a 12-pack and ate an entire 14-inch pizza and was still hungry and not buzzed after that one.

Thanks! Yeah, I've always focused on memories instead of stuff when it comes to the family. Our last Spring Break trip was two years ago, but last year, two of them were out of college, and Rusty III had to stay on campus due to track and field training. 2022 - Santa Fe. 2021 - Angel Fire 2020 - Turner Falls (Short trip with COVID coming on.) 2019 - Broken Bow 2018 - Smokey Mountains 2017 - Big Bend 2016 - I have no idea 2015 - Didn't do Spring Break because huge summer Colorado trip planned. 2014 - Multiple Texor state parks 2013 - ? 2012 - Grand Canyon, Colorado skiing. And on and on.

Canada has nine mountains above 15,000 feet. Alaska has seven. Mexico has five, and I think the 18'er is relatively accessible.
