Sure, it's a left-leaning publication. It always has been. So has the Washington Post. So what? Consider their audience. But that doesn't mean the reporters on those publications don't strive to run down the facts and present both sides in their stories. I certainly worked for a few right-leaning newspapers. One of them canceled the subscription to "For Better or Worse," one of the nation's top comic strips at the time, because a gay character was introduced. I thought that was stupid At a different paper, we ran the story about Texor gays being able to get married on the front page below the fold, where it belonged, and the publisher got and said it shouldn't have been in the newspaper at all. That was even stupider. It was a huge focking story regardless of anyone's viewpoint. A newpaper's editorial-page content certainly needs to reflect the community it serves. Buttmont is a blue city. The overarching point being is that the government doesn't control the media, and anyone who believes that is just ignorant and uninformed.

This hardcore MAGA clown who lives in my community posted a meme of Qanon Shaman under the slogan "Happy Jan. 6 Selfie Day!" I responded with, "Well, 140 officers were injured that day." Of course, he and other MAGAturds jumped in with "but muh summer 2020 riots," "trump blah blah blah" and conspiracy theories about FBI operatives and the usual crap. I responded with, "I don't see it as a competition in which one cancels the other because one is perceived as worse. I stand by those who wear the badge and not tarnesh the bravery and suffering the officers saw on Jan. 6 by labeling that event as a selfie opportunity. I also support and respect our combat veterans regardless of one armed conflict being worse than another." MAGAturd whataboutism is so ridiculous. Just look at HT thinking we shouldn't talk about abortion because we should be focused on food prices. Never mind that the abortion issue exploded because Clownzo's Supreme Court overturned Roe V. Wade. Hey MAGAturd, it's OK to simultaneously discuss and address multiple issues!

I make the kind of music I like to listen to. "Shark Dance" was a production disaster because I played drums myself on a lot of it, and you really need a lot of mics and someone who knows what they're doing to record drums, so the sound is a bit thin. Plus I learned that drums and bass need to be way up in the mix, or it sounds thin. The first song I recorded for it is an instrumental that has not one, not two but FIVE focking ukelele tracks. It's the lead-off track. All that ukelele playing gave me tennis elbow, so it was awhile before I recorded again. I had this multitrack recorder that I could do like 64 tracks, but then the cats broke into the office where I record and peed on the focker, rooning it. But I got a crappy new one off Ebay and polished off the 12 songs for the album. I've never cared if anyone likes the music. I make it for my own amusement and as an outlet for all this music my brain manufactures. I've got scores of bits and pieces of songs that eventually will come out.

I spent 30 years in the media, so this whole conpiracy theory that the government controls it is baloney. I spent about a third of my career with a major media company, directing coverage and making the calls on what went on Page 1. I assure you that the Fourth Estate controls itself, albeit with biases that were kept in check when I was in the business. The only place opinions got discussed was behind closed doors in the editorial-board meeting. I've been watching CNN a lot lately, and they seem to have moved a bit closer to the middle lately and get plenty of Republican perspectives in there without talking over or belittling them.

If I ever mailed you a "Shark Dance" or other CD, I still have your address. I recently found the notepad they were all on, and I must have spent a fortune mailing out CDs. I'm just he vocals on one song away from being finished, and Rusty II is producing it for me. Last year, he remastered all my crap and put it on Spotify and Youtube. My biggest fan is some guy in Finland. Other than that, hardly anyone listens to it.
