Our cities are burning, and our borders are wide open. -
She reluctantly accepts entry into the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame and then pulls together a bunch of rock legends to record a monster rock album with covers that include "Stairway to Heaven" and concludes with "Freebird," recorded with Skynyrd, of course. Paul McCartney, John Fogerty, Anne Wilson, Pat Benatar, Joan Jett, Elton John, Rob Halford and many others are on this thing. It's not something I'd listen to more than a couple of times, but I gotta give her credit for having the balls to do it, particularly with "Stairway to Heaven" and "Freebird" on there. And titling the album "Rockstar." "Rockstar" "World on Fire" "Every Breath You Take," featuring Sting "Open Arms," featuring Steve Perry "Magic Man (Carl Version)," featuring Ann Wilson "Long As I Can See The Light," featuring John Fogerty "Either Or," featuring Kid Rock "I Want You Back," featuring Steven Tyler "What Has Rock And Roll Ever Done For You," featuring Stevie Nicks "Purple Rain" "Baby, I Love Your Way," featuring Peter Frampton "I Hate Myself For Loving You," featuring Joan Jett & the Blackhearts "Night Moves," featuring Chris Stapleton "Wrecking Ball," featuring Miley Cyrus "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction," featuring P!nk and Brandi Carlile "Keep On Loving You," featuring Kevin Cronin "Heart of Glass," featuring Debbie Harry "Don't Let The Sun Go Down on Me," featuring Elton John "Tried To Rock and Roll Me," featuring Melissa Etheridge "Stairway To Heaven," featuring Lizzo and Sasha Flute "We Are The Champions/We Will Rock You" "Bygones," featuring Rob Halford "My Blue Tears," featuring Simon Le Bon "What's Up?" featuring Linda Perry "You're No Good," featuring Emmylou Harris and Cheryl Crow "Heartbreaker," featuring Pat Benater and Neil Giraldo "Bittersweet," featuring Michael McDonald "I Dreamed About Elvis," featuring Ronnie McDowell "Let It Be," featuring Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr "Free Bird," featuring Lynyrd Skynyrd

I follow it daily and remain in favor of our Uker support. Not much to report when it's a mud-bogged stalemate at this time. I've said before that at this point I'd like to see Ukraine let Russia have what's left of what it took, get some reparations and join NATO without Russian noise about it. Russia owns plenty of land mass on this planet. Let's move on.

Nick Chubb's injury forked me in this league and another one. I've been in digging mode all season but have managed to waiver wire and manage my way into a potential playoff birth in both leagues. Nice that this week is a deal breaker, with all that time to watch football, drink and masturbate. -
I use salt, pepper, dill weed and a pinch of cumin. I also marinate beforehand in Worcestershire sauce with dash of Italian dressing.

Kind of like after we had sex years ago.

Seems like it has been awhile since the world has had a kick-ass volcanic eruption, like a Mount Saint Helens or Krakatoa.

I watched the game last night but figured the Chiefs defense didn't get me enough points to eek out a victory, but then I checked the stats this morning while sitting on the couch with the wife and drinking coffee. ME: Well whaddya know. I won by a nut hair! WIFE: Um, uh, nice ... -
He giteded it done.

A buddy of mine, a gited piano player, had double CTS and wound up with a MRSA infection and lost not only both his hands but both his arms to stop the aggressive infection. Sad.

Yeah, this sounds like a potential forearm crassic!

The moderation that I would like to see the most is just not having 10 threads on one thing, as someone earlier pointed out. Seems like this is kind of happening. Having a dozen trans threads on the front page is ridiculous. I'm glad to see my Biden and Ukraine threads still trucking along. I created them with the mindset that these would be two ongoing discussion topics for quite a while. I'm glad to see the Trump indictment stuff pretty much in one place to shop for the latest news and comments. I said this two decades earlier, but one thing I really like about this place is how so many are plugged into breaking news. When I was in a newsroom, I'd see things here before I saw them on the Assmegociated Wire. Let's build on that. Speaking of bannings, it's been nice to not have that insufferable fly Peefoam around. -
I met Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford when they were doing their debate tour in the mid-1980s. Both super nice dudes. Carter and Rosalyn were classy, gentle souls. The Iran hostage crises and the botched, fatal rescue attempt - and facing Ronald Reagan - doomed his chances of a second term. Carter came along at a time when the nation was still embarrassed over the whole Richard Nixon thing.
