"Bunster" sounds like a character from some fraternity-themed movie. "Mr. Bunster? Zero-point-zero!"

Rush Limbaugh having problems with drugs again?
swandown replied to Badmojo1006's topic in The Geek Club
Rush's lawyer is pulling a page out of the torridjoe/Bill Clinton playbook -- it all depends on what your definition of "obtained illegally" is. The drugs weren't in his name. That's a crime. A minor crime, yes. But still........ -

link She's currently sitting at -2 after 18 holes, playing from the men's tees. She has another 18-hole round this afternoon. The top 18 players from this qualifier will get to play in the U.S. Open. She's currently tied for the 18th spot. Track her score here: http://www.golfweb.com/tournaments/usopen/story/9480303

Michelle Wie halfway to qualifying for U.S. Open

But that wasn't torridjoe's point. His point was that Martin was protested for the exemptions, which AFAIK was not the case. -

I don't think that was the case -- like I said, I'd love to see a link. As far as I know, Martin was only protested for demanding a cart. Take away the cart issue, and nobody would care if a disabled golfer got an exemption. He may not have been as competitive as he was before, but he'd already played on the PGA tour, making him no different from every other washed-up player who got an exemption after his eligibility expired. -

Those who have protested Wie's exemptions have typically used the following reasons: - she's not a competitve player - women should not be allowed to play with men Neither of those reasons apply to Casey Martin (i.e., he is competitive; and few people would dare say that disabled players shouldn't be allowed to play). No, I'm simply saying that the comparisons between Martin and Wie's cases are simply not valid. -

Seriously, find a link to back this up. No one "deserves" to get an exemption. That's the nature of the whole "exemption" concept. -

I don't think Martin was ever protested for getting an exemption -- he was only protested for demanding a cart. Big difference. -

Here's what you said: - failed to qualify - required an exemption to play in a tournament - other people were upset Last time I checked, those things could describe every single person who ever got an exemption to play in a tournament. Martin got "oppositional press" because he sued, NOT because he got a couple exemptions. Seriously, find a link where people complained about an exemption pre-lawsuit. -

You do realize that this line of thinking can be applied to every single player who ever got an exemption........right? Do you grasp this much in the political threads? -

The PGA tour was always open to women -- there just wasn't a woman good enough (with the possible exception of Babe Didrikson-Zaharis) until now. -

Okay, I haven't done math since 11th grade, but........ - The American system is basically the same as "grams per 100 milliliters". So .08 is 8 grams of alcohol per 100 milliliters of blood. - 7.27 grams per liter = .727 grams per 100 milliliters - .727 grams per 100 mL = .0072 BAC I think.

Funny that Ruth isn't on this list, since his record is the only un-tainted record of the bunch.
