Weak? What juggernauts did those other teams have to go through though? I realized the game has changed over the last several decades but it’s all relative. There were just as many tomato cans back then a there is now. Just as many bad QBs, bad organizations, and on and on. I’d take Pat over anyone ever.

Thoughts so far? Best overall Ive seen play the position. If you were starting an NFL team from scratch and could pick ANY QB from any era as your starter, you'd pick Pat or you'd be a moron. No questions. Dude is on a whole other level. He passes all the QB tests and adds the all important "eye test" too which players like Brady, Aikman and others never did well with. Brady rode a defense and the tuck rule to three titles. Was handed two others by the worst play calling in NFL history and just doesnt play the position like Pat does. Manning was an amazing player and revolutionized how the position is played from pre-snap and game management skills. But he aint no Pat. Montana was surgical and played great during his run. However, he was surrounded by a HOF roster on both sides of the ball for most of his career. Same for Bradshaw - excellent player but also had a HOF roster all the time at his disposal. I still think Joe Montana was a beast but Id take Pat over him anyways. I watched and loved Marino, Fouts, Staubach, Elway, Rodgers, Favre, Tarkenton, Kelly, etc. All great. But Pat is something else. Discussion over. Pats the best. What else do you guys want to talk about?

Great chance to ween yourself off of the nonsense NFL. I barely watch any games anymore, end to end. Way too many stoppages, ads, breaks and dicking around. Ya know what works great? The YouTube highlights. You see a lot of plays and chunks of drives, not just scoring plays or big plays. Yes, there are a few unskippable ads jammed in there but I feel thats good enough for me. Wait until its all on streaming. I dont care - I have a 500+ 4K and blu-ray disc collection to keep me busy on bad weather Sundays. Then, highlights later. Fine with me, Roger.

As if Brady didn’t ride the coat tails of a great surrounding cast? As usual, people just dont get it. But, alas, another Brady knob-slob fest. LOL. I’d take Mahomes and many other QBs over Brady in their prime if I were starting an NFL team. Love to see how Brady would have played without the scandals, great defenses, terrible AFC East and whatever else. Oh well. Good for him. He’s a nice guy.

Legit question in this day age when teams and owners are making money hand over fist in the NFL The idea that some teams cant spend money on players is extremely antiquated. Alls this salary cap does is force teams to cut or trade players that they really want to keep, breaks up good teams & I really dont know what benefit the salary cap brings anymore. Like the VCR or the rotary phone - the cap has seen its usefulness disappear. All the teams have plenty of money they can spend. If anything, Id be fine with allowing the cap to be exceeded and then you pay a luxury tax like they do in baseball. I dunno - just tired of cap problems, rampant free agency, teams breaking up, etc. You cant buy a damned jersey with a player name on it anymore.

The zebras are out of control this year, more than usual. Far too many ticky tack calls, fabricated roughing the passer nonsense and horrible illegal contact calls against the defense which always happen on like 3rd and 27. It’s stupid. I don’t know why Roger hasn’t issued a directive to back off. Every game should have the NFL refs in "NHL or NBA playoff mode". Let them play. Only call textbook, egregious penalties that really affect the play. That’s the solution.

You do you, my man. Never said he wasn’t valuable, I’m just using logic as in this is a TEAM sport. A lot has to come together in any SB run. So, they ONLY won because of Brady? I see. I forgot how many sacks, picks and all the blocking he did. Amazing, LOL. He won in Tampa 100% because of the defense. He threw THREE picks in the second half of the Green Bay playoff game and almost handed that back to them or they’d have been out of the playoffs. But, you know, I don’t want to muddle the hysterics with facts and stuff. All good. :).

This same quote could be extrapolated to "who are really the best QBs" also. No successful QB has EVER won a damned thing by themselves and the position continues to get WAY too much credit for winning and WAY too much disdain for losing. Team sport, kids. Brady knob-lickers avoid this fact. If Brady had been on the Browns or Lions during those years.... dudew would have ended up selling insurance. Please. Manning didnt win until the defense and running game got sorted. Neither did Elway. Marino never won due to these things lacking. I could go on and on with factual data but you get the point. There is also a luck component here that tends to get overlooked. Brady is one of the luckiest QBs ever. Tuck rules, throwing game ending picks only to have the defender stripped of the ball, Seabags and Falcons with retarded offensive play calls, and on and on. Again, more facts.

Honestly, The Bills should hope the Giants let go of Daboll or make him an offer to bring him back. The last time Josh was a tier-0 QB was under his reign. Its NOT all Dorseys fault but thats the easiest guy to change out & blame it on. I also wonder though about Josh's decision making sometimes. Although, all the top QBs have excessive picks this year including Mahomes and Hurts.

Dunno about that. Payton was mostly super conservative. Two runs up the gut, then a two yard pass. Lather, rinse, repeat. Their offense is anemic. Field goals might get you lucky wins when your opponent commits FOUR turnovers but Denver will never get anywhere with that bland of an offense. Maybe Russ is washed up? I believe he is. This game was gift wrapped for Denver. But, a win is a win I guess. Hard to argue here. Their window appeared to be 2021 and 2022. They had the chiefs beat in that crazy playoff game. To me, that was the year. The Damar Hamlin incident should have been a rallying point , not a reason to fold up like a five dollar suit in a rainstorm last year. It just isn’t working for this team. Injuries are hurting but the defense didn’t do anything wrong last night. They have some tough games coming up too. They aren’t out of it yet but bad losses to weak teams like Denver aren’t helping. I’m not a Bills fan but love about an hour outside Buffalo. I have to give them credit. They are a resilient bunch and very fair. For the record, the bills lost to the Giants NOT because of e abuse of poor preparation and a Giants game plan that really worked. It never should have come down to a long FG. The Bills should have killed them.

Incorrect. Brady rode the coat tails of Bills insane defenses/scheming early on. Brady was a Trent Dilfer 2.0 for the first half of his career. The data says so. Dink-dunk passing and very mundane stats(along with amazingly incredible luck/other stuff). Any reasonably competent QB would have won a lot of games/titles with those early 2000's Patriots teams. The ENTIRE Patriots team has gotten worse. You think Brady would be winning with the current NE roster? C'mon. They'd still be 2-5, maybe 3-4 at best. They would NOT be contenders whatsoever. Sure, Bill seems to have lost a step per se. He cant draft, evaluate talent properly, wont sign quality free agents to help the offense and feels outdated. That being said, adding Brady to this current Pats team does nothing to make them much better. 7-8 teams in the AFC would still be tangibly better. More facts.

I have !@#$% had it with roughing the passer calls. The refs LOVE this crap. Every !@#$% tiny brush results in a 15 yards and auto first down. Why is this allowed to happen? If QBs are that sacred then the rules need to change to somehow make it so if a defender gets anywhere near they are sacked. What a joke. Earlier today there were at least a few on Josh Allen that were chicken poo .

The chiefs need a legit playmaking receiver. Period. Like a reliable one. As the season goes on, this issue is going to become more and more of a problem. I still think they should’ve just figured out how to keep Tyreek. Everyone else fudges the cap somehow. I’m sure they could have done the same.

Looks bored out there. The poor Browns…. Rolls Royce money for a Chevy. All guaranteed. Both of these teams are clearly tier 3 though. Neither are going anywhere. Bad quarterbacks, suspect WRs, running game for the browns is now gone and the Steelers never had one, etc. Sure, both defenses have some individual solid players but you ain’t winning with just that in the stacked AFC. I like Mike Tomlin but it’s going to be a long year for that team. And the Browns are just gonna do what the Browns do: Not go anywhere. Sorry.

It’s probably because running QBs never really win anything in the long term. Your QB must be able to make throws consistently for your team to go anywhere. The Bears need to find out what they got here. Fields ain’t it, no way. Sorry Bears fans. Come to think of it, when was the last time the Bears had a truly tier 1 QB?

Why does Arizona even bother? What a horrible franchise. Just fold up, sell the team or something. Players don’t even want to be there. Any competent rookie QB would be wise to pull an Eli or an Elway and make SURE they dont end up there.
