Kamala spoke in vague generalities like most politicians do, help the middle class/tax break etc. etc. She wasn't exactly setting the world on fire with outrageous, bold ideas. Telling me you want a tax break for the middle class or a small business credit without explaining where its coming from is as American as apple pie. Trump, for both better and worse, often pops bold, outrageous ideas - buying Greenland, Space Force, giant walls on our borders etc. etc. One might think that I'm ridiculing him for this; but I don't. Bold ideas are interesting....BUT. If you have BOLD!!!!!! idea; you best explain it to me how you're going to do it. When pressed with his bold idea of deporting 20M illegals.....he didn't explain it. If he can't explain it now within 2 months of the election and 4 months from when he would take office...it ain't going to happen.

I don't think American boots should ever go on the ground. I think though, as long as Ukraine wants to fight; we support them in the way we're doing. I've always maintained that the money we're spending is well spent; a fraction of our annual defense budget is helping to whittle down one of our chief adversaries. That's might not be the most humanitarian statement....but it is what it is.

What can you offer Putin in a negotiated settlement to save face? That might have worked weeks into the invasion; when you could have told him that he can keep what he grabbed. As it stands, he's so far into the woods....it's easier to keep walking thru than to turn back. You'd have hoped that someone in Russia would have knocked him off by now.

A negoiated settlement is a temporary settlement. Putin isn't going to let this one go. He's lost too much face over it. If Trump wins....Ukraine will capitulate fairly quickly; Putin will get his revenge on the people in that country he needs to and then he'll hold "fair" elections that will bring Ukraine back into the fold.

Trump meeting with the Taliban at Camp David and releasing all those prisoners reduces his effectiveness in hitting her over the head over the 13 American deaths. And at the end of the day, Biden left Afghanistan...not Trump.
