If Joe wins and Russia wins anyway? I believe that Americans across the political spectrum, if they are being intellectually honest, would say that they if they were in the same situation as Ukraine, they would want the same support that we've given Ukraine for their own freedom; and money spent for freedom isn't bad. We wanted it in 1776 from France. I also believe that, we should always be trying to stick our thumb in Putins eye; not placating him or hyping him up like Trump occasionally has. Both sides of our political spectrum owe Mitt Romney an apology. The Left clowned him under Obama and the Right under Trump neutered him and cast him aside. He was right about Russia.

He's not Hitler. He's a version of Neville Chamberlain who gives in to Hitler. I don't think he's as idealistically naive as Chamberlain....but I think he thinks he can control Putin....which I don't believe he can. Let's say it breaks that way; Trump wins, he cuts off funding and Ukraine capitulates; goes under and gets reabsorbed into Russia Do our allies view that positively or negatively? If Joe wins, depending on the makeup of the Congress...the support might continue. If so, the situation doesn't change too much for months; although I don't know how much more runway the Ukraine has. If the Republicans take Congress and cut off support; Ukraine will capitulate and get reabsorbed into Russia. Joe Biden will be called a fool by the RIght for wasting money while claiming Trump would have taken care of the situation without spending money.

So Trump was going to do exactly what Biden did with Ukraine? WINNING!

I do think that if Trump wins in 2024, he will get "peace in our time" with Russia over the Ukraine situation. We'll cut off the spigot, Ukraine will hold "elections", Ukrainians will pay a tax in blood and then Putin will contently sit back, happy over that outcome. Russia isn't interested in getting back ALL of the territories it lost.

The delusion is great in the minds of the MAGA. Russia would have saved alot of lives in taking back Ukraine if Trump won in 2020.

To be fair, Biden's polling numbers haven't taken a hit head to head against Trump; although Harris' is beating Trump within the MOE. Bidens' "too old to run the country" percentage jumped up after the debate; but so did Trumps. I think Biden wins regardless; but the one thing I don't think he has is a certain percentage of people who wouldn't vote for any other candidate than Biden. The most ardent Biden donor will still vote for Harris or Michelle Obama...where as both Harris and Obama could energize a base that might not be as interested in voting.

They're realizing what a majority of Americans already know.
