I'm not happy with either. I don't think either is particularly right. The average Trump supporter seems to want to hold Kamala's feet to the fire on this while applauding clemency for the 1/6 Patriots. You can't have it both ways.

It's not neccessarily about Kamala. It's about Trump. It's always been about Trump. That's why Joe Biden was still going to make this a tight race. Because it was about Donald Trump. He's insanely popular. He's insanely unpopular. Now that Kamala's in it; she actually gives a sliver of "Maybe this isn't JUST about Trump" jumpstart to the Democratic Party and the Anti-Trump Contingency of the Voting Public. She'll appeal a little bit more to women just because she's a woman. She'll appeal to people of color simply because she's a person of color. She'll appeal to younger voters because in an election cycle in which the ages of the candidates has been at the forefront...she's the much younger candidate. ETA: And that jibes with basically I've been saying for the past two years. If the Republicans nominated anyone other than Donald Trump....they would have won the elction running away. Hell, I'd probably even say right now that if Trump dropped out and Vance replaced him(with Trumps good graces of course)....he'd win.
