Let's not be naive. It's politics. It's always been politics. It will always be politics. Both sides have done it. Both sides have used their media outlets to do it. Facism, Naziism, Socialism, Communism....they've all lost true meaning because of the hot take/profit from likes and views Left and Right.

There should be more Representatives in the House of Representatives. This would give more "good" power to the everyday people. The ratio of Reps to people is WAY off and not in line with the Framers thought up. The Electoral College should not be abolished. This would give too much "bad" power to the everyday people. In all honesty, I'm not opposed to getting rid of the Seventeenth Amendment and removing the direct election, by the people, of U.S. Senators. This MIGHT kick back a little more power to the States.

When the House was formed; the ratio of Constitutents to Representatives was something like 1 for every (approx) 30,000 constituents. It grew thru the years until it was capped at 435 at the turn of the 20th Century. Now it sits at 1 for every (approx) 750,000 constituents with this shifting in seats based on areas of population growth/reduction. For something that was designed to be (basically) the House of the People....it doesn't do a good job of effectively representing The People.

Capping the House at the 435 isn't a smart idea. The ratio of Constitutents to a Representative isn't even remotely in line with the ratio the Founders came up with.

Run a more serious candidate who Americans who feel have a better handle on these issues than Trump. Americans just don't trust him enough.

More American soldiers died in the line of duty under Trump than they did under Biden. You wouldn't know that though...

Yup. I don't think there has been a more rock solid political alliance than Big Oil and the Party of Man Made Global Warming, Government Regulations, the Electric Car and Curbing Pollution.

If this economy, according to MAGA, is bad now....and Musk is promising "temporary hardships" in regards to the economy if Trump wins...how bad are those hardships going to be?

I think Elon telling people that there will be economic hardship if Trump comes in isn't resonating with regular Americans.

I don't think there will be a mass deportation. There will be a few photo ops where they're deporting "gang" members....but 20M people aren't leaving...the money men don't want to get rid of their cheap labor force.

The two biggest Conservative ideals of the past 50 years; abortion and 2nd Amendment Rights....they're basically settled science. What's the argument? it's hard to support the traditional Conservative ideal of "the sanctity of marriage" and "the family" when the flag bearer for the Party has been divorced twice and cheated on his wife(s).

There really isn't a scenario that wouldn't surprise me. Election Night....I'm looking at how the networks are calling Virginia. It closes at 7. It's not really a BattleGround; although it can and has shifted in the past. If Liberals on the networks are long in the face when they start talking about Virginia on the big board(polling places from Richmond not turning out as much...Trump doing much better than anticipated around D.C. etc. etc). The election is over.
