    Ryan Grant

Thinking about trying to trade for him, but its a crowded backfield, I know he started because of injuries, but I would think he owns the job after the way he played(and the way the others played). Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Just for fun: A preliminary "close call" if you will

Also a great defense to keep games close and keep him on the field. I go with Benson.

    McGahee or Edge

Need to pick one to go with Rudi for the Big Game. I'm leaning toward McGahee.

    Has Anyone Ever Seen Peyton

He's never won in my dynasty league, which has been around before he came in, and I just bounced the team he's on out of our playoffs with Carson Palmer.

    What are your feelings on...

In my dynasty league, I have Palmer, CJ, and Rudi. I'm fine with that, but one bad week is all it takes in the playoffs.

    UFC - Hughes vs. Gracie

To a certain degree, every fighter talks a little trash before a fight,(or expresses confidence in their ability to win), and unless its a draw, 50% of those fighters fail to back it up.(just because a fighter loses to one of the best fighters in the world at that weight class doesn't mean he is a lousy fighter or washed up) I thought Gracie was very respectful during interviews, he was just responding to what Hughes said. I think they are both classy fighters, and that they both were confident that they would win, but thats the way it is in every fight. I wish it would have been a better fight.

    UFC protecting Hughes

http://news.adcombat.com/article.html?id=11100 Royce says that he is weighing around 180 pounds right now. -When asked about not wearing his traditional gi, Royce answered that he couldn’t even wear his gi pants and will wear short for the fight. -He also indicated that he was contracted for a 3 round 5minute fight but then the UFC wanted 5 rounds at 5 minutes and Royce was all for it. In the end, the UFC, according to Royce Gracie, decided to go with the original plan because of production and the ability to telecast more fights on the pay-per-view broadcast. He said he wanted to do this by “their” rules so there would be no excuse. Sounds like they're trying to stack the odds in Hughes' favor. This is Bullschit! Hughes will probably win now.

    UFC protecting Hughes

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFC#Attire Attire All competitors must fight in approved shorts, without shoes or any other sort of foot padding. Shirts, gis or long pants (including gi pants) are not allowed. Fighters must use approved light gloves that allow fingers to grab. These gloves enable fighters to use tremendous punching power without the consequence of an injured or broken hand. When Zuffa took over they did change the rules(I did not know this, pre-post). But I still think its bogus that they would have a "superfight" like this and not let Gracie fight in his normal fighting attire. It really takes away from what Royce can do to win. At least with the Gi, Royce had a chance.

Kimbo is a bad dude, but if that Gannon guy can beat him, I don't think he has a very good shot of beating Arlovsky.

    UFC protecting Hughes

Royce has fought in the UFC before, and has always wore the Gi(so have other fighters), so this must be some special rule change, or new rule. And when the UFC was created, it was to pit different fighting styles againts each other, so if a Judo or Jiu-Jitsu fighter was going to fight, they would wear their Gi's, because they can use it to their advantage(but they can also have it used against them). So whoever fought against them, they would have to deal with the Gi, because it is such a big part of their fighting style.

The UFC told Royce that he couldn't wear the Gi. Royce's whole fighting style is traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with the Gi. The Gi is used for several chokes, and keeps his opponent from slipping away. Royce has only fought one time without the Gi. If his fighting style is with the Gi, and they tell him he can't wear it, it sounds like they are protecting Hughes in my opinion.

    Did I miss something?

KFFL Lions | Rogers could be featured wide receiver Sat, 6 May 2006 11:19:25 -0700 Rob Parker, of the Detroit News, reports Detroit Lions WR Charles Rogers could be given the chance to become the featured wide receiver for the team. WTF, a few weeks ago Rogers was suprised he was still on the team. They couldn't really make him the number 1 over Roy could they? Sounds like a tall tale to me.

    Has Bush not gone #1?

I have the #1 in my rookie draft, and I intend to take Bush without a doubt!

    Did I miss something?

I have him in my dynasty league, just when I have myself talked into giving up on him so I can cut him, something like this comes up to make me go . I felt for some time, that Charles was the better wr than Roy, but with all the injuries and the dope problem, I'm wondering if he's ever gonna show his stuff. Now I don't know what to do, I'll just have to see how this plays out in camp.
