    Matt Jones

In both of my leagues we only start 2 WR's, so in my leagues I would take him as my #3 but rather as my #4 if I could get him there. He has the potential to have a nice year but you can't count on a guy who is unproven. Pick him up in the later rounds to ensure yourself a player with high potential and upside, but also make sure you keep an eye on the preseason and see how it goes down in Jax.

    I need some help......

Alright, as I have stated so many times before, this is only my 2nd year doing fantasy football. I am going to be in 2 leagues this year. I will list the leagues below and all the information I have on the leagues. Please let know how you guys would draft in each of the two leagues and fill me in on what to look for. League # 1: 10 TEAM LEAGUE Passing Yards (25 yards per point; 5 points at 400 yards) Passing Touchdowns (6) Interceptions (-1) Rushing Yards (10 yards per point; 3 points at 150 yards) Rushing Touchdowns (6) Reception Yards (10 yards per point; 3 points at 150 yards) Reception Touchdowns (6) Here are the roster positions starters - QB, QB, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, W/R, K, DEF bench - 8 spots I am trying to get this league changed to only starting 1 QB but as of right now were are starting 2. How does this change your draft style, strategy and how you approach the draft? League #2: 12 TEAM LEAGUE points are pretty much the same. i dont know a ton about this league yet. 12 team instead of 10. starters - QB, RB, RB, RB/WR, WR, WR, TE, K, DEF bench - 9 spots just give me an idea of how you guys would draft in these leagues, especially the 10 team league starting 2 QB's. any advice will be greatly appreciated. i need all the help i can get. thanks!

    10 Team Mock Draft

When I decided to pick Manning at 14 there was no great RB's left. Don't get me wrong, there was probably a better one than Lewis, because I didnt get Lewis until Round 4. But the only reason Manning was still there at 14 was because the first 13 picks were RB's. Everyone drafted RB's up until that so as you can imagine all the really good RB's were gone and I figured that Manning was the best talent on the board and I couldn't pass him up. People were drafting RB's so heavily that the same guy that drafted #2 overall ended up with Chad Johnson in the 2nd round and T.O. in the 3rd round because no one picked them because everyone was RB crazy. What I should have done was taken another RB in the 3rd round instead of Boldin, and settled for a WR slightly less than Boldin in the 4th round. Overall I like what I did though. I think Jackson will have a very good year and Lewis has the potential to, I am not worried with him being my #2 back. Plus I got Manning and Boldin and Williams have great upside. Thanks for your input, greatly appreciated.

    10 Team Mock Draft

I tried another 10 team mock draft today. Let me know what you guys think. I hope I did a little bit better on this one compared to that last one. I am going to list the order in which I drafted the players and then who I think would be the starters and bench players. All comments, suggestions, and advice is welcome. Let me know how I did and how to make my team better the next time. I drafted in the 7th position. Round 1 - S. Jackson Round 2 - P. Manning (yes he fell to the 14th overall pick) Round 3 - A. Boldin Round 4 - J. Lewis Round 5 - R. Williams (WR Detroit) Round 6 - D. McAllister Round 7 - J. Horn Round 8 - M. Anderson Round 9 - J. Delhomme Round 10 - H. Miller Round 11 - N. Rackers Round 12 - Colts D Round 13 - KEYSHAWN Johnson Round 14 - Vanderjagt (i have no clue why i picked him) Round 15 - Travis Henry Round 16 - E. Moulds I felt like I did pretty good overall in the draft. This is who my starters would be: QB - MANNING RB - JACKSON RB - LEWIS/MCALLISTER (WHICHEVER) WR - BOLDIN WR - WILLIAMS TE - MILLER K - RACKERS DEF - COLTS Here would be my bench players: QB - DELHOMME RB - LEWIS/MCALLISTER and ANDERSON and HENRY WR - JOE HORN and KEYSHAWN and MOULDS K - VANDERJAGT Let me know what you guys think. This is only my 2nd year doing fantasy football and I need all the advice I can get. Let me know what I did wrong and what I could do better in the future. If you have to, rip apart my team. Thanks!

    Bargain Bin WRs

Nice List. I have done about 10 mock drafts and in most of them Kevin Curtis has not been getting drafted. A few times I picked him up with the last pick in the draft because I think he could have an impact again this year. Most of the mock drafts I have done were with only 10 teams, the 12 team drafts usually saw Curtis getting picked up. I don't really know the situation with the Rams but I think that is someone to look out for.

    10 Team Mock Draft

Thanks. Yes my main concern was my RB's. I shouldnt have went after Boldin in the 3rd and maybe taken another RB to help Jackson. I think Lewis could have a nice year though. I guess it is not good to have your RB's be your main concern when they should be the focal point of your team. Like you said, I will get better, well hopefully haha. Thanks for your input!

    the super sleeper lineup

Good list. I agree that Taylor will be a pretty good value in the 5th round or later. However, I would have to say that I would only want him as my #3 back, nothing higher. But he has some good potential as a #3. Here is a couple I would add to the list Delhomme - I have done about 10 mock drafts and everytime Delhomme is going way too late. I know most people KNOW he is a solid QB but I just haven't seen him get taken early enough. Today I got him in the 9th round of a 16 rounder. I was surprised to say the least. But most often I got him in the 7th, to me, thats great value in the 7th round or later. Dayne/Bell - Both are being taken in most mock drafts in 6th round or later especially Dayne. They will both have a pretty good year I think and good value later in the draft, because we know how Denver runs the ball. T.J. HOUSH - Being drafted pretty late and I think he has tremendous upside if Palmer is healthy. After the year he had last year I thought he would be going a little higher. Kevin Curtis - Don't know the situation with the Rams but I am pretty sure Bruce is about 50 years old. I look for Curtis to have another surprising year and be a good pickup in the later rounds. In most of the mock drafts he wasn't even being picked, unless it was a 12 team draft. I got him most of the time the very last pick. These are just a few I could think of. Keep adding more!

    Divisions - NFC Norse

Green Bay???? Detroit???? it won't be either of those two teams. I really think it will be Chicago unless the Vikings really step it up. The Vikes have great potential but it will probably take them a year or 2.

    The Official List Pt.2.....QBs

    1. P. Manning 2. C. Palmer 3. Hasselbeck 4. Delhomme 5. Brady 6. Bulger 7. E. Manning 8. Bledsoe 9. Warner 10. McNabb well that doesn't look too bad I guess, I am not too good at ranking players, can never make up my mind ha. I do think that people need to give more love to Delhomme.

    Heres how it went

Well I have never played in a league where we drafted defensive players so I dont know much about that. You have a potentially very good lineup. How many teams are in this league?? That makes a big difference. Your QB's are solid and your RB's have potential. Jax will be good and I think Taylor will be a good #2 this year but we can't be sure and Dillon could have a good year or bad year, I feel that is up in the air as well. Like I said, potentially great but slightly risky. WR's don't look terrible. I think Horn will come back and have a pretty good year, not a career year but a pretty good one. Holt is great and KJ will catch a few. TE's could use a little improvement, however, H. Miller could have a nice year. Overall not bad on the offensive side of the ball.

    Ahman Green?

Green could very well be the sleeper this year. However, this is a high risk/high reward player. He could have an outstanding year and make you look really smart or he could just as easily get injured or play terrible and make you look completely dumb. I would not draft him in the 2nd round, just because you could get better players in the meantime. Let him slip to 4th or 5th and get him as your 3rd RB. He should be a pretty descent 3rd RB and if he ends up having a great year then all the better. If someone wants him in the 2nd or 3rd round they are going to be leaving someone on the board that is better than him anyways. Don't be afraid to let him slide down and get him after you get 2 reliable RB's.

    Mock Draft Results

I drafted 10th in a 10 team mock draft. I would like to get as many opinions and as much advice as possible. This is only my 2nd year doing fantasy football and I am trying to get an early start on doing some mock drafts for practice and to see how everyone else is viewing the upcoming season. So if you guys could give me as much information on how I did and what to expect in future drafts I would greatly appreciate it. Here is the team that I drafted, rember 10 team league, I drafted in the 10th position: STARTERS QB - J. Delhomme RB - R. Johnson RB/WR - B. Westbrook WR - H. Ward WR - D. Jackson TE - B. Watson D/ST - Eagles K - J. Reed BENCH RB - Chester Taylor RB - D. Williams RB - TJ Duckett WR - D. Driver WR - D. Bennett WR - M. Muhammad QB - M. Vick QB - C. Simms I think that I did fairly well in this mock draft. I don't know how much I like my starting RB's but I feel that I have pretty good depth at the RB position. I really like my WR's and the depth I have there as well. My QB situation isn't too bad either. Let me know what you guys think. Opinions, advice, information, and bad mouthing of my draft are all welcome! Thanks!

Edge: You scare me this year!

This is a tough one. I think it is very hard to say whether or not Edge will produce good quality numbers this year. He definately has the talent to do so, but as well all know, RB's NEED at least a descent O line. I agree that I would take Tiki, Portis and Steph Jackson before Edge this year, but I would probably take Edge before L. Jordan and Ronnie Brown.

THE STEAL of da DRAFT ! ( maybe )

Well, I slightly see where you are coming from making KJ the steal of the draft. I have done a few mock drafts so far and in most he was drafted late 2nd round and into the 3rd round. Now, if he puts up the numbers that you are predicting, then yes he may just be the steal of the draft. I don't think this is a terrible prediction, but I don't think it is the best either. I am not here to make any bold predictions but I just don't see KJ getting those types of numbers with the injury problems he has been having. However, if he does, then you can be the first to say you were right. But if you are wrong then you must face the consequences of such a bold prediction this early. Also, the steals of the draft last year was LJ and Chambers. I got them in a trade (together) towards the early part of the year last year for Jimmy Smith and Tatum Bell. They ended up winning me the league by a landslide.
  15. I know I know I might sound crazy comparing these two WR's. Chambers had a fantastic year last year and he didnt even have a very good QB throwing him the ball, just think if Culpepper is healthy, WOW. Moss hasn't proved anything in Oakland and now he is playing with a new QB in Brooks. I think Brooks could be somewhat of a sleeper as a QB but if I had to pick right now between Chambers and Moss I would honestly take Chambers. Now I know I dont know a whole lot about fantasy football but does anyone think I am totally out of my mind? Let me know what you geeks think out there and try to convince me to change my mind.
  16. This is only my 2nd year in fantasy football and I am in a league that we are running on yahoo and just putting money in offline. The commish is trying to get opinions about starting 2 QB's or just 1. Here is what the starting lineups would look like. with 2 QB's QB QB WR WR RB RB TE WR/RB K DEF with 1 QB starting just drop a QB from the above lineup. which would be more fun and more challenging??? what do all you geeks out there recommend?? and which do you guys prefer to play in??? starting 2 QBs will change the whole structure of the draft in my opinion but I have never done a league where we started 2 QBs. we are still not sure if this is a 10 or 12 team league, most likely 10. thanks!!

    On the clock!

Well I would have to take AJ as well. I like Walker but Denver runs the ball way too much and you never know with the injury he is coming off of. AJ it is.
  20. Trying to decide which WR to take, if they are both available. We all know C. Johnson's production will heavily rely on how Palmer comes back from his knee injury, and we all know how T.O. acts on and off the field. So let me know what you guys think as to who will have a better year on the field, and why. I personally think C. Johnson will as long as Palmer is healthy. I think that Dallas is a more run oriented team. Let me know what you guys think.
