Post your leagues dynasty league rules here...

Interesting, not sure I seen anything there I want to incorperate though... Thanks for the suggestion and link RAS For reference, here is the basic ruleset used in the current dynasty leagues I play in, I am hoping for something every bit as detailed as this, just a completely different system. Feel free to use these rules as a starting point for your brainstorming suggestions. Rosters - All players from the previous year's roster carry over unless traded or released. - Rosters must range from 18-20 players. - One IR spot is available to each franchise. A player qualifies for IR if he is placed on IR by his NFL team. - A player placed on IR will NOT have his salary count against the salary cap. - Once on IR, a player cannot be removed unless he is released. - Two spots are available for the practice squad. - The practice squad does not have to be utilized by a team. - Prior to the start of the season, each team sets their practice squad. Each player will be signed to a 1 year contract at their current salary. All previous contracts are voided. - Players on the practice squad count against the salary cap. - Teams can sign free agents to their practice squad if they have an open slot. - Teams can cut a player from the practice squad. Salary cap penalties apply. - During the season, ONLY 1 player can be "called up" from the practice squad provided they have room on their active roster. - All players on a roster must be under contract before the day the season starts. Any player not under contract at that time is considered released. - Only active players can be started. Practice squad/IR players are not eligible. Starting Lineups - Starting lineup is: QB, RB, WR, RB/WR, RB/WR, TE, K, DEF - Lineups are due by the first kickoff on Sunday. Players participating in early games must be designated prior to the start of those games only. - If you fail to submit your lineup, the previous week's lineup will be used. - If you fail to submit a lineup for two weeks, the previous week's lineup will be used and you will receive a warning. - If you fail to submit a lineup for three weeks, the league will assume control of your franchise and you will be removed. - If you are planning to be unavailable for an extended period of time, make arrangements with the commissioner. Scoring - QB/RB/WR/TE TDs scored: 6 pts. TDs passing: 4 pts. 2 pt conversions: 2 pts. Passing yardage: 1 pt. every 25 yards Rushing yardage: 1 pt. every 10 yards Receiving yardage: 1 pt. every 10 yards Receptions: 1 pt. every 2 receptions (WR and TE only) Interception/Fumble Lost: -2 pts. - Kickers Field Goals: 0-39=3, 40-49=4, 50+=5 Extra Points: 1 pt. - Defense/Special Teams TD scored: 6 pts. Safety: 4 pts. Interception/Fumble Recovery/Blocked Kick: 2 pts. Sack: 1 pt. Shutout: 5 pts. 2-6 pts. allowed: 3 pts. 7-11 pts. allowed: 2 pts. 12-16 pts. allowed: 1 pt. 17-23 pts. allowed: 0 pts. 24-27 pts. allowed: -1 pt. 28-31 pts. allowed: -2 pts. 32-35 pts. allowed: -3 pts. 36+ pts. allowed: -5 pts. Player Salaries - Salaries will be determined using a system involving FootballGuys.com projected statistics and the league scoring system. 320 veteran players will have salaries ranging from $6-$70. All other veteran players will have the minimum salary of $5. Rookie salaries will have the following slotted values: 1.01 $45 1.02 $43 1.03 $41 1.04 $39 1.05 $37 1.06 $35 1.07 $33 1.08 $31 1.09 $29 1.10 $27 1.11 $25 1.12 $23 1.13 $21 1.14 $19 1.15 $17 1.16 $15 Round 2 and 3 picks will be assigned contract values of $5. Salary Cap - Dollars - The salary cap will be $500. It may not be exceeded during the season. Salary Cap - Years - The salary cap will be 40 years. It may not be exceeded during the season. Draft - Rookies - Draft will be held at a time convenient to the owners and when necessary league business is addressed. - The draft will last 3 rounds. - Teams ARE allowed to "pass" their pick but once they "pass", no further picks are allowed by that team. - Rookie draft picks can be traded for the current season (2006) and next year (2007) only. Free Agency - During the season, all free agents are frozen when the first game of the week starts. They will remain frozen until Wednesday night at 6PM CST. Waivers will be processed at that time and the free agent pool is unfrozen. - When a player is released AFTER Wednesday during the season, he is placed in a waiver pool for 24 hours. Claims may be submitted during this time but afterwards he is added to the free agent pool. Draft - Free Agents - Draft will be held after salaries are released. - The draft will last 5 rounds. - Teams are allowed to "pass" their pick but once they "pass", no further picks are allowed by that team. - Free agent draft picks can be traded for the current season (2006) and next year (2007) only. Contract Lengths - Contracts may be signed for 1, 2 or 3 years. - When a contract expires, a team has the option to re-sign the player or release them. - Any player added via free agency or waivers will automatically receive a 1 year contract at their current salary. - If a player under contract is released, his contract is voided and a salary cap penalty will be assessed. The penalty is 10% of the player's salary (rounded up - for example a contract of $52 would incur a $6 penalty) and is applied for the number of years of the contract. - The minimum penalty for cutting a player is $3. - If a player retires from the NFL, he may be released with no penalty. - If a player is considered active by the NFL but not on an NFL team's roster, he may be released with no penalty. - If a team cuts a player and re-signs him, the original penalty applies. If he is cut again, a second penalty shall be incurred. Contract Declaration - Players on rosters with expired contracts must be signed PRIOR to the regular season. Trades - All trades will be allowed unless an owner expresses concern. The commissioner will put the trade up for a league wide vote. - To overturn a trade, 8 votes are required. Trade Deadline Roster Locks - After the last regular season game, all rosters are frozen until the completion of the free agent draft. Trades are allowed but adds/drops are not. Schedule - Teams will play six divisional games and eight non-divisional games. Divisional Alignment Playoffs - The first place winner in each division and 1 wild card team (best record regardless of division) will advance to the playoffs. - During Week 15, the 4 teams will play to decide who competes for the league championship. - The league championship will be held during Week 16. Tie Breakers - For division ties: Head to head, division record, total points scored. - For non division ties: Head to head, non-division record, total points scored. - For playoffs: Each team will designate a "wildcard" player from their bench. This can be any positional player. 2007 Draft Rankings - League Champion drafts 16th. - League Runner Up drafts 15th. - Week 15 losers draft 13th and 14th. Head to head record followed by total points scored will be used as tiebreakers. - Non playoff qualifers will be seeded in reverse order of finish during the regular season. Head to head record followed by total points scored will be used as tiebreakers. Good Standing - All members having paid their portion of the league website fee to the commissioner will be considered in good standing and eligible to participate for the 2007 season.
  4. Just curious folks, looking to start a brand new dynasty league, but want something new and original (at least new and original to me ). I am in a few dynasty leagues, and I love the rule set, but, quite honestly, I am going nuts with the slow drag by of the inactive offseason, I wanna draft, I wanna trade, I wanna plan, I wanna manage my teams. Well, of my 3 other dynasty leagues, all with nearly the same rules, my teams are pretty much set the way they are going to be, and the majority of activities are done until the start of the season (couple of suplementary Free Agent drafts left to do, not nearly enough to keep me occupied ). Anyway, I want some dynamic dynasty league rules, I want creativity, I want something new. Please tell me in detail, salarys, cap hits and limits, etc., I want to know all of your leagues rules, or even some rules that you think would just be interesting and creative and would require immaculate team planning and management year in and year out. Thanks for all of the input my FFToday friends.
