Did You Ever Believe in Aaron Brooks?

Yeah, based on his veteran experience and the improvement he should be showing over the years, proportionally I'm going to say he's probably the worst quarterback in the league, just barely beating out Kordell Stewart

Did You Ever Believe in Aaron Brooks?

Martin Lawrence is probably a better quarterback. This thread is "official" by the way.

Rate/Critique My Team? Held off on RBs

11th spot in 12 teamer, PPR, all TDs 6, 20yds = 1 pt, 50 yds passing = 1 pt, -3 pts for ints, fumbles. Start 1 QB, 3 WRs, 2 RBs, TE, K. Start 4 DL/LBs, 2 DBs, 2 Utility Defenders (Round #s) QB: Marc Bulger (4), Duante Culpepper (6) WR: Terrell Owens (1), Torry Holt (2), Roy Williams (3), Nate Burleson (10), Reggie Williams (24) RBs: Deshaun Foster (5), Fred Taylor (8), Deuce McAllister (14), Dominic Rhodes (18), Cedric Houston (22) TE: Kellen Winslow (16), Vernon Davis (19) K: Josh Brown (25) DL: Mike Peterson, Takeo Spikes, Lavar Arrington, Will Witherspoon, Larry Foote, Al Wilson, Chad Greenway DB: Lawyer Millow, Ty Law (21!!!), DeAngelo Hall My only real mistake in retrospect was taking Culpepper after I had Bulger in the 6th instead of a RB. At that point, Kevin Jones was still around, and all the owners already had 2 RBs so I waited but fell short as he was the first #3 taken. I felt Culpepper would be excellent value/trade bait if he pans out since we're a QB heavy league, but in retrospect I should have drafted Jones instead. My DeAngelo Williams handcuff was stolen 2 picks ahead of me in the 10th. Was Deuce a steal in the 14th? I couldn't be happier with my WRs, especially nabbing Burleson as a backup in the 10th. Reggie Williams is a trashy flyer pick, he'll be dropped in no time. I'd appreciate a critique, but I'm mainly just posting this as a sample team if you decide to hold off REAL late on RBs.

FFB Confidential: Your Most Boneheaded Trade?

I take the cake on this one. I snagged Anquan Boldin his rookie year after his unbelievable 1st game off the waiver wire, but was unsure if he'd repeat or be decent the rest of the season. I traded him for Stacey Mack.

    Should I Trade For Tatum?

A lot of times I get really sick and tired of people saying "I hate shanny" and overly pissed when people mention guys like Cobbs as sleepers, or the stereotypical "im not touching the denver backs", but given the fact that Mike Bell somehow won the job, it finally finally might be a good decision to stay away from the situation. I would have put money on no depth chart BS this season, but it happened, again. You have to account for it now. Pass on Tatum Bell please see mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=219434

Rate/Critique My Team? Held off on RBs

Those were my sentiments exactly before heading into the draft, and the more I hear about Roy Williams, the more excited I get.

Rate/Critique My Team? Held off on RBs

well, I have every bit of confidence that CMart will not be back this season, but Houston is still pretty trashy regardless. It would be the Marcel Shipp equivalent of 2006. This team is definately a decent example of how a real draft goes when you hold off on runningbacks. Our league is very QB friendly, and despite many many people holding off on RBs in round 2, there were still bottom of the barrel left in round 6 and beyond. I guess the best value pick ended up being Deuce and I grabbed him--Ahman Green went unbelievably low, like past the 15th round. I saw him there every round and passed, I'd rather have a quality defense.

Rate/Critique My Team? Held off on RBs

I'm trying to unload burleson and upgrade a RB, though essentially i'd like to trade Rhodes to the Addai owner since he has DeAngelo Williams and basically just swap handcuffs.

    Cu-Mart...

probably stupid. It's a fact that he has no cartilage left in his knee and cannot play football. there's nothing a human being can do about that. he gone!

IN DEPTH w/ WR Roy Williams Detroit Lions

In a 12 team, 25 round IDP draft, Roy Williams is my #3 WR.

After reading this post I had the exact same feeling as I did after I was flipping through channels and caught Entertainment Tonight asking the latest cast of Celebrity Fit Club what they thought of Mel Gibson's anti-semitic tirade.

No way Gates finishes #1 this year!

I'd have to say I agree, but only to a certain extent. As Gates has matured, the offensive playcalling has been geared around him in passing situations. As a player, he's dominant at his position and commands the ball, regardless of who is at the helm. It's not necessarily true that Brees is the reason Gates has prospered the last two seasons--even Martin and Fitzpatrick could get Torry Holt the ball. A small drop-off is a definate possibility, especially in touchdowns, but the yardage and catches should remain consistent. I also agree that Jeremy Shockey is a candidate for #1 tight end, the only problem is that he'll have to overperform his past efforts, whereas Gates would have to underperform, were you to draft one over the other.

Do you have a league championship trophy?

My uncle owns an Award/Trophy shop. We have some hilarious Horse's A.ss trophy figures you can get made cheaply for last place. They should cost you under $8 or so.

Eric Moulds in the even years

Trends like this are absurd to ride. The only real trend you need to analyze is his annual regression from stud status.

what is your BREAD & BUTTER play for madden? ncca?

There are two plays that are absolutely unstoppable against any difficulty computer. HB Counter and audible to the side with the most linebacker convergence. The LBs usually bump into each other or get "trapped in a cage" by the TE and RT (or LT/FB) - Follow your full back for a guaranteed 5-7 yards every play. If you're decent at juking/truck stick, lay it on the safety or corner that's tackling you to either side and you'll break a long TD run about 15% of the time. LB convergence to one side is key (the computer always adjusts their DLine and LBs) but make sure you run to the side OPPOSITE to the Dline shift. I-Form 3 WR set "_______ Option" - It's an option play that sends the FB and RB on passing outs to either side. WR3 runs a post over the middle and WR1 runs an option streak or out to the sideline. For this play you must check down your receivers (starting with wr2 being your first checkdown) and watch whether the defense is in zone or man to man. If man to man, throw to WR2 who runs a very sharp in route for 8 - 12 yds. Otherwise, in zone, simply pass to your FB or RB - the computer is practically incapable of stopping this play, but has "cheated" a couple times by somehow having a corner play a zone and switch to man to man - but that barely ever happens. If you sense something sneaky, audible your WR3 to run a hook route and time the pass right. Sometimes I use this play all game alternating between running and get all the players on the field involved for hundreds of yards. You can set WR3 as your #1 checkdown as well on the post middle if you've learned to play the devilish computer. Although I've completely mastered the All-Madden difficulty because I know what the computer is up to 90% of the time, anyone notice how the satanic computer tries to cheat? They give players superhuman abilities on chase downs (LBs chasing down 99 speed WRs) and pull off some of the most bogus interceptions EVER.

These are correspondances with my friend and I over our league's msg board. They become quite intricate, lol. Interesting... by: ###### YETI SNOWMAN (pinkchiffon2000) Jul 10 12:50pm Reading your story, I was hoping that near the end it would be Tynes for you to inspect his P-Hol, but instead you got Goings Holmes. You'll be Owens me a better ending, because I know that deep down, you wanted to be that boy's Plummer. Seriously, don't Lofa 'round so much and write a better ending. I know where you live, and I have both the necessary Troupe and Merrimen to cross your perilous Moats and ransack your Kassel. hahahaha by: I am the MINDFREAK (murtazax2002) Jul 11 12:49pm Yours was nicely Dunn, and I appreciate your criticism by de-Manning a better ending. I haven't been keeping up with the Jones's in the whole writing department lately, but I'm definately Goings to take an advanced writing class next semester. One thing, though. You said you'd be crossing my Moats and ransacking my Kassel, but how do you plan on climbing over my Gates? Not only are they ridiculously tall, but they're covered with slimy Green Moss and thorned Reed's. Only the man that bears a Tatu[pu] of the Impish Dwarf may cross and ring my door Bell. In turn, I'll lead him to my Office down the Hall and offer him some of my finest Peppers for Free[ney]. I'll see your puns and raise you another (dozen). by: ###### YETI SNOWMAN (pinkchiffon2000) Jul 12 3:12am In fact, I've got great news for you... Dude, you're gettin' Ayodele. The Pryce was right, but only because it was covered in Sapp. Please don't Kearse me for that; I too was in a Huff when I saw its condition. I had Hope that it would chip off, so I called over my friend Witherspoon. I felt encroached because she was a bit of a Crowder, but she couldn't get off the gunk. I tried flipping through my friend Marquand's Manuel, thinking it could Bailey me out. I tried scraping it off with a piece of Greenwood from a Carpenter; I tried wiping it down with Griesen Cole. But none of it worked, so I finally took it down the Rhodes to the Hilton to sell it off to a Booker. I was quite animated, so he told me to Cooley down. He didn't want it, so I moseyed on up Renaldo Hill and offered it to the Taylor. He was busy playing the Sims, which was a real Thornton my side. After being completely dejected, I decided to walk a little bit Morency the sun set. I realized that we can't always accomplish what we want immediately; sometimes, we have to Winslow. Regardless, I left that thing in the gutter and bid it Archuleta. Re-raise (this is good) by: I am the MINDFREAK (murtazax2002) Jul 12 10:00am I was so hungry the other day, I finally decided to get off my Harris Bodden and head over to the market. Although it was a Torrence affair, I felt a pressing need to Paymah dues to the vegetable world. I brought my friend Lee, and let me tell Jue, you don't have to Coakley into coming anywhere, he's always ready to go. Since it's my favorite vegetable, we first decided to get some corn on the Cobbs. That seems, Sensibaugh, right? On the way there, I saw a guitarist in a local band called Spitalfield. Lee and I waved to him and greeted him, "Hayden Lowder!" Curiously, he bolted away and hid Underwood, like a chipmunk or something. We shrugged it off and continued about our business. After getting corn, we headed to the Pearman. Even though it wasn't a vegetable, we Offord him a little money and didn't Payton's for it. I started feeling Payne in my Foote, and slowed down. Lee scolded me, "You're being a Babi'n you're slowing us down" I replied angrily, "A Babi, neaux! That's Bullocks! I'm trying to be a Mann about this! Don't worry about me, I'm Surtain we can continue on." Lee replied sarcastically, "Well make sure you don't become Tuman about this or your Cox might shrink! You're not a man, you're more like a Boiman" He continued on and was distancing himself further away from me. "Holdman," I replied, "My Foote's acting up again." Slowly he walked back towards me. He dealt with me more compassionately this time. "Lehman, lay down, don't put any weight on it, how'd you hurt it in the first place, Mann?" "When I fell in that Pittman...just the other day," I replied. I was laying in the middle of the street holding my Foote just when Lee spotted a car heading towards us. "Move off to the Seidman!" He grabbed me and quickly dragged me to the shoulder of the Rhodes. "That was Bulman! Didn't he see we were in the middle of the Streets? He just kept speeding towards us!" "I'm never going out to get vegetables again, Mann" I dejectedly told him, "I think I'm just going to stay at Holmes and get a Gardner." Don't worry, I already know I need a life. I really hope someone on this board attempts one, I'd like to see some replies!
