    bears 34 seahawks 3

After all the bickering in this thread, I hope it ends up a tie. Completely unbiased opinion, I think Seattle cruises.

    Monday Night Miracle?

Need Dunn/Colston to outscore McAllister/Horn by 11. Could happen, but the odds aren't with me. I squeaked one out last week by half a point, should be another close one.

Any Chance Steelers Can't even Score?!?

I was up by 13.95 with Jeff Reed to play vs. Jax D. Jax put up 14, costing me the win by .05. I'll pathetically hope for a stat adjustment. Just 1 passing yard gives me a tie!

I Told You Guys About Tiki!

Did you happen to catch who they 'bred' Tiki with. I'm interested for my 2027 draft...

    week1: how's your fantasy game(s) going?

Haven't won opening day in 3 years now. Palmer, CJ, R Smith, Indy D all disappointed. Dunn, Barber, and Boldin were upsides. Unfortunately, I got hammered by about 40 points. Team I played against had Gonzales, LJ, Parker, Harrison, Chi D, and Vinatieri. woof. Good news is the last two years I lost the opening game, I went on to win the championship. Hopefully I can keep the streak up

Went RB-WR-WR from the 4 spot

10 team PPR league. semi casual league, half hardcore guys, half everyday joe's. 1.4 Tiki Barber (easy pick here) 2.7 Chad Johnson (Smith, Holt and Fitz all went before, I jumped on 85 like a tiger) 3.4 Anquan Boldin (targetted Gates here, but could not pass up on Boldin. I figured many would be scrambling for WRs and not too many RBs would go before my next pick. I was right) 4.7 Warrick Dunn (Taylor, Droughns, Bush, and M Bell went before me. I'm very happy to have Dunn at this spot) 5.4 Carson Palmer (yikes, wanted to hold off on a QB until round 7. got very nervous after this pick. Brady and McNabb had gone right before, and I usually don't jump into trends). 6.7 Todd Heap (since I passed over Gates, I wanted to make sure I grabbed a top TE. Had to take Heap here if I wanted him) 7.4 Laurence Maroney (here I am, freaking out about RB depth. This high upside rookie didn't do much to calm me down) 8.7 Rod Smith (I wanted a veteran, reliable receiver for WR3. potential flex starter here. 26th WR taken, I had him ranked 14) 9.4 Domanick Davis (woah, talk about a fall. I had to stop all insanity here and grab him. he's def worth the risk here) 10.7 Jake Delhomme (totally wiped away my Palmer fears. Delhomme is an every week starter, and fell much further than I expected. I'm safe if Palmer is slow coming back) 11.4 Antonio Bryant (I really wanted him late, and snagged him here. Should be very good in PPR leagues) 12.7 Marion Barber III - (Looks better than Jones every time he plays. Even if he doesn't take over as starter, he'll still put up points on a bye week fill in) 13.4 Greg Jones (injury concerns made him drop. I'm lucky to have grabbed him here. I think my RB depth fears faded away at this point) 14.7 Brandon Jacobs (had to take him because someone gave the old "is brandon jacobs still out there?". will probably end up dropping him before the season starts) 15.4 Vernand Morrency (potential handcuff for Davis. I chanced that nobody knew of Wali Lundy and they didn't) 16.7 Greg Jennings (my late sleeper pick. Very happy to have him at WR5) So basically I'm gonna have to drop two guys to grab a K and D (plenty of good ones out there). Overall my starters look like this: QB - Palmer RB - Barber, Dunn WR - C Johnson, A Boldin TE - Heap RB/WR - R Smith Who would you drop for a K and D?

Is there one guy that you always have on your roster?

Antonio Gates had him last two years, won the championship both times. not a coincidence.
  10. I'm at a tough spot, with the 4th pick in the 3rd. I have the possibility of grabbing another stud WR (ppr league) or grabbing my #2 RB. We start 2 RBs, 2 WRs, and a flex position. Since it's a PPR league, it's always good to start another WR in the flex. That's why I think I would take Boldin over Taylor and take my lumps with Droughns in the 4th.
  11. I'm starting to think the same...I can definitely grab him in the 3rd, or chance that he'll fall to the 4th. If Boldin is still on the board in the 3rd, I doubt I can pass up on him for Taylor. I think Taylor will be for this year what LaMont Jordan was last year.

    LaMont Jordan

I was very high on Jordan coming into this year. I had him last year, and thought about taking him in the 1st round this year as my feature back. Unfortunately, I've come back down to earth a bit on my projections for him. His schedule SUCKS. (home team in caps) 1. OAK vs. sd - bad matchup, san diego had the #1 rush D last year (ypg) 2. oak vs. BAL - bad matchup, another top 10 rush D 3. bye 4. OAK vs. cle - could have a big game here, he runs better at home 5. oak vs. SF - good matchup 6. oak vs. DEN - bad matchup 7. OAK vs. ari - good matchup 8. OAK vs. pit - bad matchup 9. oak vs. SEA - bad matchup 10. OAK vs. den - should be better than week 6 since he's at home 11. oak vs. KC - bad matchup 12. oak vs. SD - bad matchup 13. OAK vs. hou - good matchup 14. oak vs. CIN - good matchup 15. OAK vs. stl - good matchup 16. OAK vs. kc - should be better than week 11 since he's at home I count 5 good matchups, and 3 of them come at a clutch time of the year (fantasy playoffs). He should be money in the playoffs IF he stays healthy...but more importantly, will it matter if you don't even make the playoffs? Will he put up #1 RB numbers through that rough a schedule? Maybe he will, supposively he had just as tough of a schedule last year. It all hinges on his receiving stats, IMO.

    PPR

Top 5 RB in PPR leagues, IMO.

What draft position won your league last year?

I won last year from the 4 spot. 1. Alexander 2. J Jones 3. C Johnson 4. Antonio Gates 5. Cadillac 6. S Moss 7. C Palmer 8-16 (in no order) D Carr, D Foster, J Galloway (who I dropped right after for S Davis), M Anderson, C Houston, a couple dud WRs (one of which I dropped for Willie Parker), Pit D, and J Elam. I ended up trading D Foster, S Davis, M Anderson, and W Parker for LaMont Jordan and Chris Chambers around week 5, and I ran with it from there. Ended up with only 2 losses, one of which was a "never bench your studs" error in week 1, and the other I lost by .08 points! I got revenge on that owner in the first round of the playoffs. Then went on to win the Semi-Final by over 50 points, and the Championship by over 60! I've got the 4th pick again this year...looking to go for my 3rd straight championship! [/bragging]

    my team this year

In a PPR, you'd compete. Mason will put up a lot of catches. Bush would be more valuable as well. Non-PPR, you'll have to scour the waiver wire to get help at WR. You'll be battling uphill all year if you don't improve there.
