question for the commishioners and anyone else
mgs316 replied to Super Cubs's topic in FFToday Board
Why would you want trades on a damn schedule? I offer, guy accepts, it goes through immediately. I don't have time to wait for a trade window. What if you need to make moves based on the trade, you have to sit around waiting? That is dumb. -

Who does this stuff by email anymore? If this was electronic, I'd have no problem with this move. It's actually smart and devious. But since this is basically pen and paper, very shady and bad move by the commish and other guy. I don't think you need to say, "The trade is off the table." The other guy would need to contact the guy that offered it and say, "I accept." Then it would move forward. You don't get offered a trade and then go straight to the commish. You tell the guy that offered it, I accept, then go to the commish. Bush league move. Logic would dictate: 1. Offered made from team a to team b. 2. Team b replies to team a that he accepts. 3. Team a would go to commish to complete trade. This loser side stepped step 2. If this was electronic, there is no step #2 needed and it's a great move. i had a guy in my league offer Rivers a couple years back, never retracted it. My RB he wanted went down, I accepted the trade. He laughed about it, he knew it was his fault for not retracting it on the site. -
Actually you can't, he's getting too many yards and TD's, he's going to get tired!

Marshall has had a cake schedule all year (and still does) and has done nothing. Benched until further notice.

This thread is about as prescient as the people who got burned by Jimmy Graham.

Hows your roster looking through 7 weeks, after draft, trades and waiver pick ups ?
mgs316 replied to snatchit's topic in FFToday Board
Week 9 bye I have 1 RB available and no TE's at this point. We have short benches so at least there is something semi viable on the WW. From draft, lost Keenan, dumped TE Allen, dropped West and Yeldon. 6-1 Tyrod David/Ellington Melvin/Jones/White BMarsh/Adams Crabby/Tyrell Reed/Vernon Random kicker of the week Soon to be dropped NE-D -
Fitz back in and he is sucking but at least he feeds the beast. ROTW opponent pass defense: 28 24 21 bye 11 5 30 24 11 <- week 16 Maybe he sucks but that looks like cake.

Adams, James Jones 2.0. Defenses take away Jordy and Cobb, he cleans up TD's. He has a defined role. Montgomery could lose depending on Starks and Davis. Ty short term should be valuable though.

Lets see who has the best team with the worst record.

This is why we do top 6 teams are by record, last two teams by most points. No playoff bye since we payout for regular season 1st and 2nd place. -

How the F is that even possible. You literally can't be playing the high score each week. To put it in comparison (6-1): Tyrod David Melvin Crabby Marshall Reed Second most points scored, second most points against. -
Double Trouble Arian Foster, who holds the Texans' franchise record with 6,472 yards rushing, was a true threat both running and receiving, averaging 110.9 scrimmage yards per game in his NFL career: PLAYER YDS FROM SCRIMMAGE* Jim Brown 125.5 Barry Sanders 118.9 Adrian Peterson 112.0 Walter Payton 111.9 Arian Foster 110.9

Gurley. He's not hurt, he's getting touches, you have to play him and you spent a top 5 pick on him. Team killer. I've seen/owned too many one hit wonder WR's to have wanted to touch Robinson. Not saying I'm right but I like WR's with a history. Braylon Edwards, Rob Moore, LLoyd, Garcon, etc.

Smirking.

Denver's run D stinks (24th in yards per game, second to last in TD's allowed). Chargers literally have no one behind him. Plus he's not a big name, no one will give you value you for him. I see no value in moving him for pennies on the dollar.

Just read it is his 5th possible concussion. Come on Jordan, just make it through one more season.

It's working for me so far (first time I've tried it.) Been rotating Tyrod and Flacco for between 10-20 points a week (low scoring pt system), just playing the matchups or gut call. Dumped Flacco now, grabbed Hoyer. 4-1 with second most points and Jordan Reed has only had one good week so I haven't peaked I would hope. I've spent a lot in the past to grab an elite QB and been burned. This is kind of fun.

A cast for a cut on a hand?

It's probably now more than ever a huge advantage getting one of the workhorses (johnson, elliott, bell, probably still Gurley) as the rest are crap shoots. Still better to grab a top flight WR than going RB/RB with the likes of an Ingram/Lacy pairing as an example off the top of my head. I like that WR's are productive enough across the board that you can go WR and not have to go RB. More than one way to skin a cat in today's fantasy landscape.

Arizona at San Francisco: In-Game Discussion

3-1, Dave and Melvin leading the charge, most points scored, second most points against so I'm weathering some big weeks from opponents. In the era of the WR, having a solid/exceptional RB/RB tandem is a huge advantage. Waiver wire WR's can keep up with second tier WR's practically. -
Which "lottery tickets" have paid off for you so far?
mgs316 replied to Huh?'s topic in FFToday Board
Look at the top 10 rb and wr's so far vs. the pre-draft rankings...every pick is a lottery pick. -
Only horse in town getting around 25 touches a game and a goal line back. No one is going to pay the price I want. Plus i doubt many Melvin owners have a decent enough 3rd back to replace him. I sometimes think some of you discuss this stuff in a vacuum, not taking into account real rosters. Ride it out.

New York Giants at Minnesota Vikings: In-Game Discussion
mgs316 replied to Mike FF Today's topic in FFToday Board
Teddy will never take another snap as a Viking. First, he won't be ready for next season is my bet. Second, Bradford as average as he's been is better than Teddy. Teddy is a good guy but his downfield throws are bad and he's indecisive much of the time. Bradford has a slightly better arm and knows where he wants to go with the ball. -
Knile Davis. Must have banged Reid's daughter, right?

How in gods name is that lopsided? In my 50/50 league, Brees 52 points, Eli 30, Lacy 10. One star for two starters. I have 3 RB's I'd start before lacy. There are 10 RB's on the waiver wire with better stats than Lacy.
