Greatest Red Heads of All Time

This. Most people don't seem to notice her in her minor roles. I didn't either, but she snuck up on me slowly until one day I really focused on her and realized she is one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen. Virtually flawless as a younger woman, particularly playing Earl K. Long's side piece.

    Best "rock voice" ever?

Acknowledged. Have you ever heard the Scorpions first album, called Action, or Lonesome Crow? His voice was spectacular. Michael Schenker was 13 when they started recording and 15 when it finally got released. Amazing album.

    Best "rock voice" ever?

RJD is always the first to come to mind. His work with Rainbow and Sabbath was remarkable, the solo stuff, not so much. Other special vocalists: MJK, Geoff Tate, Ray Alder, Derek St. Holmes, early Klaus Meine (before Rock You Like a Hurricane robbed him of his dignity), David Coverdale, Mikael Akerfeldt

    Game of Thrones (no spoilers)

BTW, I don't think Syrio Forel is dead. I think that was our first introduction to the Faceless Man we know as Jaqen Haqar
  5. The new Entourage. Bad acting, okay show, can't stop watching it for the depravity. I agree that the Rock is very likeable.
  6. MDC and RLLD are both right here. The good citizens of Balmore deserve better, proactive police protection. And, the looting, banging thugs deserve to be left to the outcome they desired. Now, just help me learn how to tell them apart, and we can fix this. Oh, and also, we need to figure out how to make the cops safe while they are doing their job of protecting the good citizens.

    Anyone here remember UFO?

Great band. Lights Out is among my all time top 20 albums. Strangers in the Night is still the best live album I've ever owned (maybe tied with Song Remains the Same). They made some good music with Paul Chapman, but the Schenker period was the glory days.

    Game of Thrones (no spoilers)

All of you non-book readers need to rewatch Ep 4 and watch the exchange between LittleFinger and Sansa in the Stark crypts about three times. That scene is the key to the entire saga. Burn that discussion into your consciousness to prepare for the remaining seasons. You are welcome

    favorite Irish band?

    Thin Lizzy Gary Moore
  10. I was a Lynch detractor, and have been wondering what goes through his head when he does his nutty stuff. The crotch grab, the interviews, the stopping at the goal line and waving his teammates away. He's a complex dude, and per a feature I read this morning, does a ton to give back to the youth of Oakland and area. His DUI tore him up, because he felt he was letting those kids down. I doubt I would enjoy hanging out with him, but maybe he's not such a bad guy, behind all the overt weirdness.

    Denard Robinson

Robinson is hamstrung by the fact that his team falls behind very early most weeks. When he gets critical mass number of carries, he always produces. I don't think you can play him against prolific offenses, but in toilet bowl type games, I would expect him to have good numbers.
  12. Starting Denard Robinson at RB1. Need either Jonas Gray (vs Det), Joique Bell (@NE) or Jerick McKinnon (vs. GB) at RB2. Opinions? Thanks.

    1 week TE help

Lewis is going to have some good games down the stretch, but I want to see him play a week. I started Rudolph last week over Donnell and paid the price. I think I start Rudolph here, with a game under his belt. No one else to catch passes for the wobbly Bridgewater. Good points made above on Gresham and Amaro. Tamme has upside but I think JT plays. I go with KR.

    Crabtree or Golden Tate

I think NE jumps on DET and Stafford will have to sling it all day. I hate SF's passing game, period, despite the good matchup. I roll with Tate.

    Starters help please

You're certainly not gaining much consensus here, and I'm not going to help. Lacy and Lynch are a given in my mind. You have some really good WR matchups and choosing will be tough. I like ODB against Dallas more than Marshall vs. TB because I think Forte will be used a lot to keep McCoy and Co at bay. Maclin vs. Tenn is also great. Gut feel here, but I think I go Lacy, Lynch, ODB and Maclin.

    Gordon over Maclin?

I'm starting Gordon in my main league, but have a nagging feeling that if I had a better alternative, I might watch him for a week. Maclin is certainly a good alternative. I still think I would start Gordon vs. the Falcons. Good luck.

The drunkest you've ever been (spinoff)

Fraternity was a good experience overall. House was a bunch of engineers so we had an extensive test library, good athletic teams and plenty of women around all the time. Like you never got shitfaced drunk, with or without the fraternity?

The drunkest you've ever been (spinoff)

The worst (and last) major drunk I pulled was 31 years ago at age 19. We had a sorority mixer at the fraternity house and one of the chicks was a butch but somehow sneaky-hot ROTC type. She challenged me to a shot-drinking contest, so we became the center of the party. She keeled over about 15 shots in (passed dead out), but the crowd encouraged me to keep going. Several sources reported to me later that after my 27th shot, I went down. My concerned, loving fraternity brothers then carried me to the Delta Gamma house, stripped me naked, strapped me spread-eagle to the obligatory DG anchor in their front yard with duct tape and covered me with shaving cream. Legend has it the girls cut me down a few hours later. I have seen significant photographic evidence from the night, and the stories appear to be true. No doubt I had alcohol poisoning, and I'm probably lucky to have survived it. I have only fleeting memories of the next three days, but I know I had a guard posted on me 24 hours a day, including frequent trips to the showers (not under my own power) to puke and clean up. I missed three days of class and at least one exam. Have never had the urge to overindulge since.

    Probably greatest invention since forever...

The DVR beats out the wipes by a considerable distance. I haven't watched a commercial in ten years. The wipes are awesome though. I waste 20 fewer minutes of my day now.
  20. Fantastic. Almost more acid rock than blues. I could listen to that all day. Thanks for the intro.

    Rimming and you.

Everyone knows that the (female) starfish is where your talleywacker goes, not your tongue. Duh.

    Stock market

I don't pay anywhere near 39.6% overall, but any stock sales are directly additive to my bottom line, so they accrete at roughly the marginal rate. Unfortunately, I don't have the massive top end shelters (like beneficial trusts, foundations, etc) that allow a monster earner like Mitt to pay so little.
  23. My first visit to the RRHoF last year was a huge letdown. 80% Rolling Stones stuff.

    Stock market

Long-term is 20% for me and short-term is ordinary income rate (39.6%). Plus state taxes. My numbers are correct.

    Stock market

Paying 27-45% of my gains in taxes inevitably keeps me from trying the investus interruptus. I usually just wait it out and buy some more shares on the cheap when I guess we near the bottom. Worked really well in 2009 and previous corrections. The key is to make sure your investment thesis remains valid and that you only buy strong companies with a competitive advantage, a strong moat and bigtime, heavily-invested leadership. Now, if I had a bunch of managed mutual funds or index funds, I would consider dumping those if I expect the correction to be deep and prolonged.
