Agree with Kirk & Hopkins; both should be solid plays. No Zay Jones again for Jax, which should boost Kirk nicely. Hopkins has a solid matchup. The last time i voted to bench DMont, he scored close to 40 points. Not even close to the last or most embarrassing mistake I’ll make. Still, the outbreak of Gibbs & the better-than-average LAC run-D does give me pause. I think I’d choose Henry as your 3rd, over both Jones & DMont. It’s close & maybe an impossible-to-fet-right decision. I feel like JLove will have to throw lots to beat Pitt…doesn’t bode esp well for Jones/Dillon. @Tenn, it seems that the new qb there will need to lean on Henry to get a win.

I’d sit Gibbs. With DMont back, it seems difficult to know what level of participation JG will receive. The Det (Chargers)matchup isnt awful but also isnt great for DMont & JG either. Should think Det will elect to throw often. Hard decision though. Good luck.

(Just watched Foreman get 17…hope you did not go Herbert) Probably MacLaurin. Howell seems to be heating up a bit (imo); i like TM this week & moving forward. Can’t argue too much against Stevenson; but dont care for Zeke’s continued volume, especially near the goalline. Not Allgier. I just…have to believe in Bijan (and the boogeyman, and bigfoot) because the world would is simply a better place if/when ever those creatures appear and are allowed by humankind to show off their otherworldly abilities.

You can’t drop Taysom..unless he goes cold. He’s just too excellent at the moment. And: I’d see what you have in McBride upon Kyler’s return. Might be gold. You could package either in a trade; try to upgrade yourself at RB or WR. Moss is basic the same dude as ZC. Same guy as Spears, Dowdle, Warren, etc. All @ great dart throws. All are a push…a pure guess at ‘future injury to a starter,’ so there is no need to rush out to make this move by dropping Moss. With Davis, what’s to like is that 30% chance for a spike week. The ‘boom/bust’ potential can be frustrating, so is OK if you want to drop him for ZC. You lose the frustration (good), you lose the 3 outta 7 boom (meh), and you get a waiting game with ZC. <— like Moss, both Davis & ZC ride your bench in most weeks. I get that many love Rice’s talent. If you are enthralled with his potential to break out & provide week to week consistency, dont drop him for the waiting game of ZC. What i see in Rice is a great WR4 with WR3/WR2 potential in some weeks - and there are many more RRices in the league than there are excellent ‘handcuff plus’ RB’s, such as the ones mentioned here.

Much may depend the rest of your roster - and your ff playoff chances- but generally speaking, i’d very quickly make this trade to get Mixon & JJ.

To my everlasting shame, the last time i said ‘dont play DMont,’ was prior to the week 4 game. He was nearly a gametime call, coming off injury. Gibbs was supposed to break out. DMont ended up scoring 38 points on 3 td’s & 120 yards; caught a few balls too. Never again. …don’t start that dude at your own risk. Have the benefit of watching DJMoore deep into the 4th while posting. 5 for 50+. Meh. That said, I probably would have advised him or Hopkins over Aaron Jones, who *might* not be physically at his best. Am an AJ skeptic at the moment. And btw: Kirk should have a very good game. The ‘Shot Caller’ @ this site thinks so too.

Play Stroud over Levis, for sure. Charbonnet is a “handcuff-plus” in the same vein as Moss, TSpears, JWarren, types - who see multiple snaps and score (small) points each week. Love to have these guys on the bench…but all need an injury in order to stud-up. That said, Walker is a bit banged up…. Do you have to carry 2 qb’s? Why not drop Levis & get ZC? If that’s not in the cards, you are simply rostering a player(s) & waiting for an injury to befall the starter. No shame in it…is part of the game. If not Levis, maybe drop Rashee? I know he’s awesome & everyone wants him to pop, but minus a spike game here or there…Rice seemS unlikely to be better than a flex in most weeks, what with how KC spreads the ball.

Yikes.

Chase will probably play. There is nothing wrong with Joe Burrow, even with Higgins out. I’d play Joe Burrow over Stroud (and the other FA choices), with confidence.
-
Yes, you are overthinking. Play Dionte. Gabe certainly *might* do well…but so might Shakir. Dionte looks good in 3 straight games; and he was excellent last week (20+ pts). Gabe = three games of 20+pts, two games of 10-15 pts, and four (f.o.u.r. ; 4; 1-2-3-FOUR) games of 0-5 pts. You are about 30% to get the really nice game from Gabe. 70% chance of either middling or downright awful.

Who comes out ahead in this one? Or is it fairly even? [ Rate this trade in a vacuum w/no regard to roster-structure. ] Team A acquires: D. Adams & N. Collins Team B acquires: J. Waddle, C.Kirk, and Gabe.Davis

You should accept. You get RB stability with Bijan. He’s been good not great but has potential to boom, which most managers love; plus his ff playoff schedule is tops. You lose quite a bit giving up Thelien, but you have good wr depth. You definitely gamble that London will stay hot with the new (…any) ATL qb - and you roll dice that the supremely talented Smith and Higgins will actually wake up and start playing this season.
-
What Chickie briefly said: although not projected high in points, Mac Jones has a great matchup this week. What weepaws said: Minshew. He is throwing a ton. Hummm… I think I’d play Jones. Would definitely buy some extra toilet paper before the game starts though.

Hubbard & Sanders are about the same. When healthy, *best* games for both are around 15 points; maybe a spike here and there when scoring. Both are Low RB2; High RB3 types with no sex appeal to break out. Boils down to health; Chubba is the man right now…who knows if Sanders will get back to good. <—I’d rather have Sanders long term but do not ‘want’ to start either unless the spot matchup is juicy. I think Dionte & Addison are close too; both with good targeting shares and receptions each game. I give an edge to Addison due to td’s. He has lots, and was getting into the endzone even with JJ present. With the qb situation of both clubs dicey, it’s impossible to know who will finish best. Would be no surprise for them to complete the season within the same tier.
-
Ha ha…there is probably a 25% chance to get this exactly right with both players. Addison for sure; even with the new qb he is the 1 until JJ returns. Lockett is a probably…but do monitor his health & participation at practice. If Lockett is on the bad side of questionable: Chubba probably gives you the highest floor, while Tank could boom vs. get you 6 points. He has a nice play on paper this week - but - was a monster on paper last week b4 shitting the bed. Have fun.
-
Taysom Hill is probably your best shot, followed by McBride. What Showboat said about McBride. He’s a great pick up but should play well *after* this week & assuming Kyler starts playing. Hill has had an injury, as you note, but unless there is a new symptom (?…) worth monitoring, he’s been dealing & playing well with the injury for a few weeks now.
-
An update to earlier thoughts: i see that Robert Woods is out. And: having read some relevant news on the Panthers defense (they are horribly banged up), i have to say: Tank Dell is in a great spot this week. Collins probably gets the Panthers best efforts…Tank has a nice opportunity to get work. Am at least *considering* starting him over Aiyuk & Downs.

WR Depth.. is Demario Douglass an upgrade of Q Johnston?
Lake209 replied to [echo]'s topic in A Little Help!
Until QJ starts to show up (if he does this season), DD is definitely an upgrade. Like many other fantasy-viable new wr’s DD has seemed to improve in most weeks, gain the trust of his qb and coach, etc. He’s a decent WR 3/4/flex now, with potential for more upside. QJ seems just as or even more physically talented but his growth into that system isnt there yet. What others have said: QJ may simply need more experience; he may really start to come out next year. Fantasy managers hope the breakthrough is this season - and i guess he could hit - but there is no evidence as of yet that QJ is a worthy bench stash. -
Ha ha….gross.
-
Jets are a favorite, with the qb mix-up at NYG. Is always difficult to gauge competitive dst units, but would guess the Jets are a very good choice this week.
-
Yes, the prospect of Darnold starting this week has me twisted over whether or not to keep Aiyuk in vs. lower-rated players (ex. Downs or TDell…you have a choice w/Dionte). Have found at least one respectable expert who comments that Darnold historically throws to his #1 often, which gives me optimism about keeping Aiyuk in. For now, i have made no changes. Is a tough (changeable) choice but I’d stay with Aiyuk over Dionte. Kincaid seems like a better play than Kittle. What you say about blocking, plus I should think the Bengals defense steps it up this week.
-
Does the presence of Noah Brown reduce Tank’s target share in the offense significantly? With respect to weepaws thinking (not saying he doesn’t have a point), I have a hard time starting Tank over Aiyuk, even w/Darnold, b/c Aiyuk is the #1 when Debo is out. For this weeks game: isTank the #2 after Nico, or is he more like the #3, having come-off injury & w/Brown on the field?
-
If Sam Darnold starts: keep Aiyuk in place - or - pivot to Gabe Davis, Tank Dell, or Josh Downs?
-
Of those, i would start Jav.Williams and Sutton.
