Strongest Draft Position in a 10-Man League

First or second. LT or Jackson. I like the ability to start rounds. It can sometimes lead to starting runs at certain positions in the middle rounds.

Whats the better first 3 picks?

Funny, I'm in the same position. First pick, but in a 10 team league. I have been seriously debating the same thing. However since my league is smaller, I do believe that I can get Bulger at 4:10. I think the drop from Palmer to Bulger is smaller than from say Owens/Holt to Evens/Colston. So, I'm leaning towards LT, WR, WR.

Players you can sell High and buy Low after week 1

Warrick Dunn, plays Carolina and Tamba Bay first two weeks. Buy him then. Because he follows with N.O.
  4. And just where did Dominic Davis play? Not in Houston?

All the preparation led up to this....

Except for the QB spot this is a 12 teamer that is better than most 10 teamers I've seen. Nice job! By the way, if this is a non-PPR league, then Rudi was a steal at #10. He went #5 in my league. Portis went #8, great value on both. If Warner produces, start preparing your acceptance speech now.

I Am Worried About My WR's

JGAB19 likes Barlow better than Gore?!? Gore is a starter. Barlow currently is not. Gore beat out Barlow and took his starting spot. How does he figure? Anyhow, no deal. I figure each will finish 11-20 at their respective positions but RBs are MUCH harder to come by. Therefore, more valuable. Every year in my league there is some breakout WR that no one saw coming and went undrafted (Galloway '05, Muhammed '04). So yes, your WRs are weak but stay alert on the WW and you should be able to pick one up. Also, Kevin Curtis is going undrafted in some leagues and played like a champ last year when I. Bruce went down. He may even be able to unseat Bruce this year even if he is healthy. If he's still available, start there. Good luck!

real quick question! 1st year KEEPER

Not sure that you can go wrong either way. If you are trying to win this year, maybe SA. But I agree with the last guy, Lt is younger and you are talking about a keeper league. (Also, LT had a broken rib at the end of last year.)

What would you do? (will answer yours)

No deal here either. Look at it this way. He screwed up by not handcuffing his RB and now he is offering you a non-starting RB on team who is notorious for RBBC situations. No way. I'd negatiate for something better. MBIII might even wind up being the starter. Then he is screwed! Meanwhile you have great value by getting a starter late in the draft. Tatum will NEVER start for Shanny. He will always be the change of pace back. If M. Bell goes down, C. Cobbs will start and Tatum will still be the change of pace speedster who only plays in the second half. Occasionally this role will allow him to have big games, but it is far too inconsistent in my mind.

    rate my draft

This is one of the best teams I've seen. I don't love any of your QBs but they all have nice upside. One of them will produce. Overall, I rate this as an excellent team.

Is pick 17 to early for Parker?

Okay in a 12 teamer, late third to early forth. I can only guess but here goes. From what I've seen. Possible falling to the late third, T.O. , Boldin, Chambers Otherwise depending on your own rankings you'll get two of these: Roy Williams Reggie Wayne Santana Moss Hines Ward Darrell Jackson Jevon Walker Donald Driver In the late fifth, early sixth: TJ Housh D. Mason T. Glenn L. Evans Again this all depends on your own and of course, your oppenents rankings. Most guys will tell you to go RB. I'd stay with that if I were you. You are early in the second and almost guaranteed will get a solid #2 RB. If you were later in the second I might say WR. Good Luck!

    Is my season over already?

Shasha, I'm sorry but I think the guy you are talking about was asking for help in the 'a little help' board. He was thinking of taking P. Manning first and I told him he was an idiot. This sounds exactly the same as what you have posted. Sorry to you that I helped him. I never judge my season by winning a championship. I judge it by making the playoffs, which I've done in my main league three year running. The reason why is because with the FF playoffs falling in the last weeks of the NFL season, a lot of good players are sat out. Which makes the playoffs a total crap shoot. IMHO So, if I were you I'd focus on getting in the playoffs and let the FF gods take it from there. Good luck.

Is pick 17 to early for Parker?

He went in the second round of my 10 team league. I had the 4/10 spot, 17th pick overall (second round) in this 10 team league and he was gone before I drafted in the second. So he may not be there for you either. But if he is... Go for it. As always select the best player available. A few points. The Steelers love to run. FWP had over 1200 rushing yards last year. Bettis is no longer there to steal TDs. They stated that they are going to let FWP attempt goal line carries this year. He is their clear #1 RB, no RBBC. I don't see a problem with it. Hope you get em'.

    Preranking nightmare, need help!

Dude, you've got some nice backs. Offer one up and look for a better #1 WR. I find almost every year, except in really deep leagues, that there is always a decent #2 WR floating around on the WW after acouple of weeks. I think you are looking for a #1 though, so you may have to trade for one of those.
  14. When I was in first or second grade, I would color EVERYTHING we did in school art programs black! Never any other color. Everybody was pretty damn sure that I needed a shrink. (Looking back now, they were probably right.) One day at the parent teacher meeting my teacher asks my parents if we have any other colors at home. My dad tells her, whatever comes in a Crayola box, he just likes black. Nothing really came of it. Finally when they are pretty sure I'm insane, they decide to ask the kid, me. (Now who would have ever thought of that?) As it turns out, I sat in the back of the class. The teacher would open an eight pack of crayons at the beginning of each row and we were to take one and pass them back. Well guess what color was the only one left by the end of the row, week after week. (I sat in the only eight man row, the rest had six or seven.) Why didn't I trade with other kids? I hated art class! I figured if I just colored the whole damned picture the same color it would get done faster! My father still reminds my grandmother of when she wanted me to see a shrink at age seven for coloring Santa Claus, YES, Santa Claus totally black! She denies it. She's 93.
