Considering 'Ongoing Feature' and looking for feedback
Steel City Blues replied to NAn's topic in FFToday Board
Acreed. We can debate why a team will be better or worse due to personnel changes, coaching changes. strength of schedule changes and make fun of Jocstrap. (Some things don't change). Obligitory slander . . . . . -

Let me splain. No. That will take too long. Allow me to sum up... Go for it. I've seen this on other sites. It's a better way to keep projections more reasonable. -
Just for fun: A preliminary "close call" if you will

You draft in the dreaded 11 or 12 spot - what do you do ?

I don't mind drafting late in round 1. Frankly, it works to your advantage sometimes depending upon your league mates and how they tend to draft. IMHO landing two of Rudi / FWP / Addai there is a best case home run. You have to check the values projected to be there in later rounds before formulating a good draft strategy. If you see several mid rounders as quality #2 RB, then go for a WR. Conversely, if you have your eye on several undervalued WR, then load up on RB. Every season is different. Caveat: Peyton in round 1 or early 2 THIS SEASON is like shooting your team in the foot. There is a sweet cluster of QBs available. I can't see picking one before round 4 in most league formats. -
Deja'Vu from TO landing in Philly.

2007 NFL Draft Weekend Team Thread: Pittsburgh Steelers
Steel City Blues replied to Fumbleweed's topic in FFToday Board
I agree that we must start completing more passes to the TE more, but I wonder if it isn't a product of Ben wanting to throw deeper to a WR than Cowher's game planning. Heath is a beast after the catch. -
I have no idea if it's in the top few, but it is better than I thought I would do.

2007 NFL Draft Weekend Team Thread: Pittsburgh Steelers
Steel City Blues replied to Fumbleweed's topic in FFToday Board
I'll be at the stadium tomorrow. If we unload Alan, I may wander out on the bridge & you'll know who made that splash in the river. Realisticly, I can see this happening though. Alan is an elite guard, arguably the best in the league. If he gets hurt in training camp or during the season, his shot to be the highest paid guard will be lost. Mr. Rooney...PLEASE find a way to keep Alan and Troy. -
Any Early Predictions?

POLL: Backup RB most likely to take over starting job.
Steel City Blues replied to djrockstar's topic in FFToday Board
Without considering the upcoming draft, I don't see why you would argue this point. It seems like you are asking which back is most likely to become the starter this year if you freeze the rosters as they are today. MJD is my choice to officially take over the starting RB role sometime during the season (maybe preseason) based on sheer talent. Freddie was fantastic while healthy, but he is on the deline. -
Where can I find a list of NFL team strengths and weaknesses going into the draft? I did try a search, but couldn't find anything covering all of the teams.

Predicting next year’s league champion
Steel City Blues replied to Rye & Leaf's topic in Jerry Porter Was A Dumb Pick
Next year's National Football League Champion will be the Pittsburgh Steelers. HERE WE GO!!! -
Frodo won't be around to finish the story. I saw the whole thing. After laying rubber in his Geo Metro to get away, the Cowboy fans followed Gibbs to his home (half a block away) and proceeded to stuff his face through the monitor. PS: Whatever you do, DO NOT buy Gibbs mouse when he tries to sell it on ebay!
