    In PPR - WR's are da KING ! - ( standard PPR )

Mostly disagree. If WR are king in a PPR league, then RB like Westbrook that catch a ton of passes are Emporers. It all goes back to the disparity between the RB you could get in rounds 1-3 vs. 4-7 compared to WR drafted 1-3 vs. 4-7. This is precisely why QBs rarely go early. You can usually find a QB just as good in round 7+ as you can get in round 3.

Where is OLD GURU in all this? That ol' lurker would chime in from time to time and helped some of us to draft when we were vacationing. Are you there bud?

Dang. I liked your draft too ellison. Preseason injuries killed you if I remember right. You still have time to reconsider. I second the notion of not letting captain Solo bail so easily after working so hard to get things going last year. Get your arse back over here and join us for a fun draft and submit a line-up each week. Not many trades or anything to worry about either. The best part...you have a 1 in 11 chance of winning a pair of shoes or a raquet. (Joc couldn't win if we spotted him LT and SJax)

    breaking news on Vick

If Vick was placing wagers in the 40K range, it is a little bigger than a garage & 12 homies off the street. Some dumbarse probably kept records of the wagers along with names.

Father's day is no good for me either. I'm not crazy about a weekday. Contrary to popular belief, I work for a living. Saturday the 23rd. We are gaining some momentum here.

Yes. We are talking about a dog fighting ring linked to high stakes gambling. You have to wonder what will happen when they find books on who places the wagers.

Drafting with a bunch of deranged lunatics in June???? Sign me up baby! Your season points leader is back and ready for action. Looks over Joc's shoulder at the ghay midget pron pages tucked inside his fantasy mag.

I'll be opening a can of fantasy whoopass this year, boys!

The anticipation builds for the infamous Soilost proclomation. I ran a copy of last year's program for this season & found Cotchery as the #1 fantasy wideout. We need the true master to work out the kinks.

    Travis Henry

Henry certainly has potential to put up top 5 RB stats. He is more of a risk than others who are more likely to produce solid #1 RB stats. This makes him a nice late first/early 2nd round pick like Westbrook was last year. Come September, the Henry Apple is going to tempt someone else to draft him higher than he should go.

    Name Your "Anti-Sleepers"?

At this time, some anti-sleepers are: Ronnie Brown - He's going to stuggle with the rest of the team or break down. Caddie - I only drafted him last year so I could trade him after an easy schedule to start the season last year. Bugger burned me good. Walker - Until I see who Cutler relies upon. So far it's been the TE.

    Name Your "Anti-Sleepers"?

I'm a believer and wouldn't hesitate to draft him, but realisticly we have seen his peak. It is hard to see his numbers getting better from last season. He will probably see a slight dip in production this season as teams adjust to their offense. That said, Brees is a pretty safe pick. I can't see him being a bust this year unless some crazy hand/thumb or head injury mucks things up. Overvalued??? FWP finished the season as a top 10 back as a late 2nd/3rd round pick in many redraft leagues last year. I agree with the RF (rat factor) in Denver. However, Henry is a STUD whose production was quashed on bad teams with bad lines. His talent and attitude will quickly find him as the #1 RB. Don't be surprised to see TD numbers from this kid.

Wouldn't it be awesome if KC trades Trent to Atlanta for less than what Miami was willing to offer just to rub it in their faces for making a lowball offer. Result: Miami is stuck with a lemon.

*** '07 Player Projections By NFL Team ***

As a betting man, I'd take the over on the rushing TDs too. Much hinges on the OL play & the return of Wharton. If this unit comes together, the rushing game could return to the glory of the Stephen Davis days. The other key is the offensive play calling. This team played the role of a pass to win team last season. The ground game lost impetus and failed to score a rushing TD in 6 straight games from week 11 to 16. That's a trend not a quirk. This team lacks a franchise RB to carry the load. The benefactor will be the big WR Jarrett. This is a guy I will keep my eye on. Double & triple teams on Smith will leave Jarrett free. If he develops a great relationship with Delhomme (and/or Carr?) early, I'm plucking this guy off the WW.

Buffalo is in for an ugly season. They put together a nice run against some struggling teams like GB, HOU & MIA (at the tail end of the season). This is a rebuilding team going for youth and character. I think they will want to establish a rushing attack as the focus of the O, but when the team struggles to move the ball & opponents take advantage of a weak secondary/LB unit.........garbage time receiving yds are in this team's future. Losman 3250 yds 21 TD & 17 INT Merryl Lynch is projecting a bearish year 852 yds & 5 TD with 22 receptions for 154 yds (welcome to the NFL kid) Mr. Evans 89 receptions for 1433 yds & 11 TD Reedmeister 49 receptions for 598 yds & 3 TD Price 37 receptions for 296 yds & 1 TD Roscoe P Coltraine Parrish will be a streaky motha with 2 games over 100 yds & a cloud of dust the rest of the season 26 receptions for 369 yds & 3 long TDs TE is a non factor

160 sacks in a season from Peppers would be better than having the entire Chicago D. I'm taking Peppers or Carolina D in the first round of my drafts. Delhomme - 3050 yds & 20 TDs (13 INT) Williams - 924 yds & 4 TD, 350 rec yds & 1 TD Foster - 550 yds & 1 TD, 260 rec yds Smith - 86-1200-10 Jarrett - 61-585-6 TE - non factor

    RB Rankings

I think everyone should move FWP into the top 5. Pittsburgh's offensive line coach is sure to get his guys up for each game.

2-3 points? Luckily he got BENSON in the deal also. McNabb is old and busted, finished healthy what 2 of 5 years? Regardless of Vick. Benson for McNabb is a decent deal, getting Vick is just a bonus. Scoring has little effect on this deal, he still killed the guy. You are right about Moz getting the better end of the deal in this trade even with the rule change. Most ff'ers can see that Benson + Vick > McNabb & Garcia. However, that doesn't have anything to do with the discussion in this thread. This is about a rule change affecting the upcoming season after trades have been made. If I understood this correctly, this trade happened well before the NFL Draft when the Chicago RB situation was still murky. It was a bigger risk at the time. Now that we know Benson is likely to shoulder more of the load, it was mighty white of gameday to offer moz a trade back. Do you think he'd have offered to trade back if Chicago drafted another RB in the 1st round or kept Thomas Jones or even worse injured?

You've never been in a draft with Jocstrap. I'd take the 1st team by far. In that scenerio, I might even go addai henry reggie caddy That's a nice foundation to build upon.

You'd see a difference if this happened to you with Vick or Young as your #1 QB. Spot your opponents 2-3 points a week and see how many FF games you would have lost last season. A 10-11 win team is MUCH different than an 8-9 win team just missing the playoffs. I look for every 2-3 point edge I can get. His point was the scoring change devalues Vick compared to the other QBs. McNabb is insanely good in an all TD = 6 pts league because 80% of the Eagles TD are through the air. Atlanta (last time I checked) was a run first/second team with Vick playing the role of #2 RB. All those 6 point rushing TDs from Vick helps to compensate for McNabb's superior TD passing totals at 4 points each.

I agree with "nobody". Extra .02 : Get a feel for wether or not you think the change is going to pass. If you see the rule change as inevitable, tell them you are all for it, but it shouldn't go into effect until the following season since teams have already made trades with the old (current) scoring system in place. It should placate them and give you time to prep your roster for 2008. Then trade for Gates and get together with the other TE heavy teams & push for 9 pt touchdowns for TE to spice up the league.
