    Rankings - Montgomery > J Williams ?

We discussed the Green Bay RB situation earlier in this thread: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=477326 I'm surprised T-Mont would go undrafted in very many leagues. Seems pretty wide open. Williams may have accumulated some stats last year but did he ever look very good? I don't think so.
  2. 7/5 update is ready. Not a lot going on so movement is slight. KC receiver adjustment and some tweaks to suspended players (Winston, Edelman, Aaron Jones).

    Macros

Hi Detwa. Are macros enabled automatically? Whether they are or are not, perhaps your Excel security setting were changed since last year. If they are enabled ... easy way to tell is try a simple draft a player from the offense tab ... then you should be good to go. Although, in general probably better security for your computer to not allow macros to enable automatically. If macros are not enabled then lets check the Excel security settings. Old Excel, lets see... try Tools > Macro > Security. Change to Medium. Close Draft Buddy. Re-open Draft Buddy. Now are you getting the prompt to enable?
  5. 6/28 update is ready!
  6. 6/28 update is done. I think I put 6/29 on the /download page... must be because it is late, didn't realize it slipped past midnight

    Green Bay Running Backs

Nice to read a lot of members thoughts on Jones match my own - I felt he looked like the best RB of the bunch last season. There are some Williams supporters out there, too, as the sophomores appear to be relatively close in ADP. Given how this is shaping up it seems Jones and Williams are both overvalued right now - each an RB3 but not one we can count on for touches unless there is an injury. Maybe Ty is the best target. Last ADP I pulled from FFC (12-team) for Draft Buddy: Jones 7.08 Montgomery 9.04 Williams 10.03 Last ADP I pulled from MFL (12-team): Jones 8.09 Williams 10.08 Montgomery 12.11 Last ADP I pulled from FantasyPros (12-team): Williams 9.02 Jones 9.05 Montgomery 10.09 So... its all over the place.

Mixon or Watson late second round ? ppr

Keeper league changes things @snatchit. You were throwing us with the 2nd round talk for either player and not mentioning it is a keeper league off the top. I don't have positive vibes for Mixon/Bengals, and love Watson, but it would still seem your better value play at that point in the draft is the RB Mixon. How do the keeper rules work? If you can keep him forever maybe you want to ensure you get Watson.
  9. I posted three new how to videos for Draft Buddy 2018. You can find them in this Draft Buddy forum topic.

  14. We call it the 6/18 update even though we are a little early. It is 1.25 hours to Monday from where I am sitting. Regardless, projections, rankings, ADP and depth charts all updated in Draft Buddy. MK will check in later with some notes on his changes.

    1. rules : starters and backups per team

I think what most teams will use is better, but likely not a big difference from what you would go with yourself. There is some impact on the overall rankings with the default overall ranking method since it moves the baseline past the starters and into the bench players to give some importance to depth. Note you can use decimals for backups, so say you think half the teams will draft 2 RB, 3 WR bench, and the other half 3 RB, 2 WR, then what you can use is 2.5 for each. Good idea if total bench players still adds to the proper total.

    Keeping a 1st loses your 1st and 6th?

That is an interesting rule Robbie, haven't heard of that one before. Nice thing Draft Buddy is pretty flexible to handle weird rules Here is what I'm thinking... add an extra round to your draft, so if it goes to 13 then make it 14 on the rules tab. You will have to Compile Cheatsheets again to update the draft report tab, but change reset keepers and reset draft picks to no first so you don't lose any players (keepers) or draft pick trades you already input. Then go to the draft report tab down to round 6 and put "** Pick skipped **" for each pick where you think someone is going to keep a player. And of course you can add this later, or select and delete (or Edit > Clear Contents) to remove if things change on draft night. Do the opposite in round 14. Input "** Pick skipped **" for teams that are not keeping a player. I think that works, right? Teams will then not have a 6th round pick if they kept a player but will have a 14th round pick. Make sense?

    Keepers not loading properly (manually)

Do the keepers cost a draft pick yes or no? If yes, then you also need to select the draft pick given up in the yellow cell to the right of where you select the position and player name. Sometimes people think it is the cell to the left, but it isn't. If you look closely at the team headings and the lines between them, it goes Pos, Player, [Team], [bye], Draft Pick. This will copy the player to the draft report tab beside the pick given up. OR, you can input the players directly on the draft report tab. Some people, myself included even, find this easier. In this scenario you want to set both reset keepers and reset draft picks to no, otherwise you will lose those inputs when you Compile Cheatsheets again. If keepers do not cost a draft pick, then make sure both reset keepers and reset draft picks are yes, Compile Cheatsheets. Do you have a draft report tab? Now when you input a player, position then name, they should be removed from the cheatsheets and add to the rosters straight away. If not, then let me know and we'll figure it out.

    Draft Buddy 2017 - Projections Updated 9/4

Hi. That is the calculation to compare the players to each other from across positions. In a nutshell Draft Buddy figures out a comparison or replacement player at each position, called the baseline, and the fantasy points from every other player at that position is compared to the fantasy points of the baseline player. The difference is the value. Think about the top QB (Rodgers) compared to the 12th ranked QB - pretty big difference in points, and hence, high value number. By comparison the difference between the top K and the 12th ranked K is pretty small, so a low value number.

    Draft Buddy 2017 - Projections Updated 9/4

I haven't talked to him but I imagine MK is working on it as we speak so I can do it late tonight, so it is ready first thing in the morning. Problem is if anything else significant happens (which does happen sometimes) then it could push us back. Keep on top of the news (cuts) for now but hope for the best you don't have to make any changes to DB and we'll have it ready before 10:00am. We will see if MK chimes in here too.

    Edit/Export Rankings

Hi L.F. Are we talking about the same feature - directly on the cheatsheets after you've compiled, the yellow highlighted cells under Rank and Tier? You can change the numbers and then hit the re-rank buttons to sort them more to your liking. I do find if I change just the tiers first the players are at least in groupings and then you can move finely adjust the rankings later. Plus, Draft Buddy should automatically renumber in case you miss a number here or there. I don't think you are going to find an easier way than that in Excel. Drag-and-drop is not recommended on the Buddy tabs because it tends to mess up formulas, plus you would have to drag the players completely off the table before moving them back (to create space). They won't automatically shift around. In terms of exporting it is Excel so you are pretty free to copy and paste it somewhere else, into a blank sheet say, and adjust however you like.

    Update Correct? Injuries

I think we've had 3-4 updates since Boldin retired, SJ. If you check the main topic in this and the main forum it shows when the updates were posted: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=466169

QB scoring based on total yardage

Looks pretty darn close to 1 per 30 until you hit 300 yards. Then it jumps up. I would keep it at 1 per 30 and then also use 4 FPts Per 1 "300+ PaYd game". There seem to be some other bumps at higher yardage, but since those will rarely be hit I wouldn't worry about them too much.
