14-team, ppr, dynasty league. Other than Greene and Harvin, my team is full of older, high priced players such as Peyton, R. Moss, Housh & Gates that I may have release into FA after this season. I have the 3.02 pick in our 3 round rookie-only draft. Which of these players do you like best with this pick? I do not care about need, just trying to set my team up for the future. QB - Josh Freeman RB - Gartrell Johnson, Cedric Pearman, Mike Goodson, Ringer WR - Mike Thomas, Deon Butler, Patrick Turner, B. Tate, Stroughter, Knox, K. McKinley TE - Beckum, Coffman NOTE: Although I love Thomas, Butler and Turner, I do not think I can pass on Freeman for only $1 (price for a third rounder).

Anybody have any ideas on Patrick Turner, Mike Thomas (is he hurt?), Deon Butler? How have they looked? I see FF today is big on Deon Butler.

Which WR do you take at 1.10? Harvin will likely be gone. Maclin Nicks Crabtree (if he is still there at 10) Or someone not listed?

I would keep ward and burleson. burleson has been a standout so far in camp and ward will be better than addai. Holt is old and overrated.

Who is the better back at 1.05 of rookie draft? This is a ppr dynasty league. Moreno, Brown and McCoy are gone. Leaning towards Greene.

See my roster below. As you can see I am very weak at RB. The FA auction is nearing the end. Do I drop Heath Miller for $10 and try to acquire available RBs for depth like Kevin Jones, Lamont Jordan, Ware, Forsett, and pick up a $1 TE like Scaife OR just stick with what I got and keep Miller as my 2nd TE?

What about some free agent RBs who still have game like W. Dunn and E. James.....Will they get signed? Has anyone heard anything of these guys?

i take McCoy, but dont forget about Greene. He does have Jones there but Greene will be the man next year. T. Jones will not be resigned. Meanwhile, Westy will be around for a few more years.

If you have to drop a RB for Benson I guess it woulf be Avery (if healthy), Smith, then Burleson (who is the star in camp so far). Problem is that Benson could be a 1000yd/8-10td guy. Can you hold what you have and try trading a second tier RB once he has a great week for a good WR? Did Scaife even play last night? I am thinking about bidding for him as my b/u dynasty TE but I did not see him in the box score and Crumpler looked good I guess. Is Scaife even a viable fantasy backup?

Really tough between C. Johnson, Slaton, SJax, LT, Gore. Actually, I would take all ahead of Deangello. A lot of things working against him this year including a brutal schedule. Will not pick him unless he lands to me in 2nd in any draft.

Other than going thru countles articles, blogs and headlines, is there a place to go that updates which 2009 NFL rookies are signed, unsigned, etc?

"Value guys" are just that-a value. Some posters are saying they are going to build their whole team around such players that underacheived last year in hopes of a bounce-back year. It is cool to pick a few players like this but to go overboard is insane. I see it as too risky to pick players such as Parker, LJ, Palmer, Ocho, etc on the same team. Just too many question marks. However, if one or two of them fall, then fine, I will take a chance.

I know the magazines are outdated by the time you read them but I still like to read articles and such while sitting on the can! Which are the best magazines in your opinion? Roto, ESPN, Athlon, CBS, etc.... I like Athlon's because they allow you to see updated ranking online if you buy their mag. Any thoughts?

I am guessing Moreno, Brown will go 1-2. Picks 3-5 could go in any number of ways between 4 players: Wells, Crabtree, McCoy, and even Greene. More likely, I will have to choose between McCoy and Greene or one of these RBs and Crabtree, although there is a chance Wells falls to 1.05 in a PPR league. IMO there is never a reason for Donald Brown to drop to 1.05 and he definately will not in my league.
