    Beanie Wells

I doubt he will, but I actually hope he falls to me at 1.05. I would rather have him than McCoy or Crabtree. Obviously, I would prefer to have D.Brown but he will go 1 or 2. As far as the Cards not running the ball, everything in the NFL changes. As easily as Warner lights it up again this year, he could also show his age. I think the coaches know they have to take pressure off of Warner. I have already seen reports that the Cards want a more balance attack this year. Long-term, when Warner is gone, are they still going to be the high octane passing team? Who knows. We draft rookies in a dynasty leagues for the long-term, not necessarily what he will produce for you in his rookie year. I would never, ever draft a rookie and think I can rely on him to be a starter for me. Much as in real life he starts off at the end of the depth chart until he proves himself. Truth be told, would you really be surprised to see Wells have a better career than Moreno, Brown, etc? As far as OSU RBs go, I just hope he turns more into an Eddie George than a Maurice Clarrett.

Who do you see falling in the rookie draft?

Nice evaluations - So at 5, I will probably take whoever falls to me out of Knowshon Moreno, Michael Crabtree, Chris Wells, LeSean McCoy and Donald Brown. Do you see any other candidates for the 1.05 pick? I really want a RB, but if Crabtree falls I think I have to take him before Shonn Greene, even though Crabtree scares me. At 1.10 I like Percy Harvin, Hakeem Nicks, Matt Stafford, and Jeremy Maclin. I know Harvin will not fall this far. Although I like Stafford a lot, I am doubting he falls also. So I may have to take whoever falls out of Maclin & Nicks. Any ideas who is more prepared to contribute now? I also like Brian Robiskie and Kenny Britt but cannot see taking either of them at 10. Finally at 3.02, who knows. I am hoping Scott, Butler, Turner or someone like that drops. If not, I may take a flier on a TE for a dollar. Deep TE class this year. Thanks for all your insight.

Who do you see falling in the rookie draft?

I see you did hour homework too. I feel like a moron chatting with you. So the deal out there now is 1.03, 3.03 and Mark Bradley at $4 for 1.01. 1) do you do this, and 2) if so do you like Crabtree, D. Brown, Wells, or McCoy? Thanks BTW-I see your bold prediction on Campbell. I have him at $11 but will probably drop him for cap space since I have Peyton and get a 2nd QB for real cheap. Tried to trade him for a 3rd rounder but no one in the league seems to share your setiment on him.

No, he was right, you are nuts. While I agree Wells will not be dominant, I sorely disagree on your projection for Hightower. So you are going to draft Timmy in the 5th round them? That is about where he would go with them #'s. I MAY...MAY take a flier in round 14 or so. Also, Jordan will have a role, but not that big a role. You forget his age and injury history. I see his role similar to that of last year's in NE...no more. Actally, I see Buckhaulter as having much more a role that Lamont. In sum, until injuries and/or someone separates himself from the pack, I see a big ole ugly RBBC. McDaniels is from the NE system of RB's. One thing Moreno has in his favor, is if all things are equal, he will het the carries and PT, since Broncos ownership can justify taking an RB when they had so many pressing needs on D.

haha, I dont see Denver screwing things up that bad do you? Bowlin is a good owner unlike Ford. Hope that works out for you. I DO see your point, in theory I the situation Wells is stepping into, but Warner will not be there forever and he may even show his age this year. Arizona's pass happy system destroys RBs....ala Hightower and James. Add to this that Hightower and Wright will be the receivers out of the backfield....and now you see the risk. All rookies, Moreno and Wells included come with red flags. Also, as far as Lamont being ahead of Moreno on the depth chart...big deal. It is still June. Wells id behind Hightower also, but I fully expect him to pass Hightower as I expect Moreno to pass Lamont & Buckhaulter. They are rookies and coaches make theme start on the bottom, even if it is only to keep egos in check. Now, what I do not understand is the hostility that you express in your post. Chill dude. Did Moreno bang your girlfriend or what?

Who do you see falling in the rookie draft?

Thanks for the insight man, very knowledgable! Impressed. Let me explain a few things. When I say "lock" I do not mean a rookie is guaranteed to make it big in the NFL. I was only speaking of where this particular player will be selected in MY league's rookie draft. In reality - NONE of the rookies are locks to become productive real or fantasy players - not even Moreno. Also, with a low 1st, like 1.10 or a high 2nd round pick, I am looking for a player that in a year or two will evolve into a fantasy starter for me. I am not going to construct a roster expecting to start a rookie from day one. I do see Maclin and Nicks (and to a lesser degree Britt) as the same player. Extremely talanted, will have their moments, but will show their true rookie colors. Who would you draft here with the 10th overall pick? From what I gather you would take Nicks....would you still do that if Stafford (and to a lesser extent Sanchez) were available? Stafford is a risk but does have the best chance to be an elite QB out of any other rookie. Would you get one of these players at 1.10 for $11 or trade it for a 2nd and a 3rd rounder? As far as the 1.01 pick, why do you think Moreno is so far ahead of Brown, Wells, etc? I like Moreno and will draft him if I keep the pick, but for $60 of my cap space, he scares me! If Cutler were there, Marshall was going to be there and be healthy & happy, if they did not have a stable of able veteran RBs currently ahead of him on the depth chart, and if they didnt have a coach that came from the Patriots RBBC approach (ala Maroney!) I would feel more at ease. What I am simply saying is that ALL rookies come with red flags and none are guarenteed to make it. Unlike the 1.10 pick, I expect the top overall pick (or even top 5 pick for that matter) to contribute immediately since the top pick costs me $60 of my $400 cap. Do you think Moreno is worth the risk or get pick 1.04 and get the leftovers from Wells, Brown or Crabtree (also would consider McCoy & Harvin at 1.04)? This would also allow me to get a pretty good rookie in 2nd round for only $2. Thanks for all the insight!!

Who do you see falling in the rookie draft?

First off, I am taking Moreo, but am considering trading it for 1.04 and 2.01. Not sure but if I do that I get Whoever falls from Moreno, Wells, Crabtree, and Brown for about 1/2 the price plus an extra pick.. As far as the top thirteen, I can't argue. I do disagree with your assessment on a few players and their distance from the second tier rookies. I see the top 5 RBs and top two QBs as locks. I also see Maclin & Harvin as locks. However, I do not see Britt, Robiskee, and Nicks significantly better picks than Heyward-Bey, Coffee, or Davis just to name a few. I just think other than the elite player, it is such a crapshoot. If I keep the 10th pick I will pray that one of the QBs or Maclin drop. I will not be enthused if I have to choose between Nicks, Robiskie or Britt. But if that is my choice, who do you like best to produce in 2009 and beyond?
  8. Brandon Marshall or Antonio Bryant? On face value, Marshal is younger and more gifted, but he is a headcase and his future is foggy with a possible suspension and/or holdout looming, and trade rumors brewing. Bryant is also in a contract year so he will be more motivated than Marshall who is disgruntled over his contract situation. We all saw what happened to another headcase last year when he was unhappy...Ochocinco. Who posts better numbers in 2009?

Who do you see falling in the rookie draft?

Ya, I like Pettigre and Freeman, but not at 1.10. That is why I am trying to trade down into the second, wher it will only cost me $2. Problem is I can only get the 2.04, which is 18th overall. Just don't know what will still be there then.

    Beanie Wells

I would take Moreno before Wells easily! Especially in keeper/dynasty formats and even more so in PPR leages. He is a complete back and has never had an injury history. He also played as an every-down back in the SEC. Moreno has a chance to be an every down back in a time when that is becoming extinct.
  11. As you can see from my roster, many holes to fill: do I trade the 1.10 pick for Felix Jones @ $24 or Lee Evans @ $48. Or just keep the pick???
  12. Not sure about the suspension?

Looking for a Replacement Dynasty Owner

That is a rough, rough looking team!!!

Who has more value for the 1.10 rookie pick

Ya, we start 3 WR plus two flex position (up to 5 wrs) in a ppr league so wr salaries are over blown. Thanks.
  15. #1LionFan

Who has more value for the 1.10 rookie pick

Ya, Evans is a reach, but Felix at $24 could be a sleeper. the 1.10 pick costs $11. I will prolly stick with that.

What is the best FF magazine?

Huh? What you talkin' bout' bubba? defenses?

    Do I do this trade?

I have been offered Antonio Bryant ($50) for pick 1.10 in the rookie draft ($11) and Eagles D ($5). You can see my roster below. I have been stockpiling picks (had no 2009 draft picks) and dropping big contracts (Portis $90, probably Gates @ $49). I was going to use my extensive cap space to attack free agency, but I was just offered Bryant. I like that Bryant is in a contract year, but am not sold on him. FFT sure gave him some lofty reviews! #12 on the WR rankings. Taking on his contract may also prevent me from going after the top free agent, Lynch. Do I pair Bryant with Welker in a PPR league or just keep the pick and Eagles D and go after Santana Moss, Holt, Walter, Bennett in FA? As you can see we start 3 WR with two flex positions. Getting Bryant may also allow me to drop an aging Hines Ward @ $28 and underachieving Clayton @ $14

    Joesph Addai

I am also tore on Addai. I am in a position to get either Addai or Lynch. Lynch may be more expensive and he will be serving a suspension. A lot of people on this site seem real high on Addai this year tho....hmmmmm????

    CBS SPORTSLINE

I have never had a problem with live scoring on ESPN. If getting live scoring a few seconds earlier costs x amount of dollars, no thanks. The only thing I see paid sites having over espn is if you have an extremely complicated scoring system that requires extreme settings.

    CBS SPORTSLINE

I also have ran a league using ESPN for a number of years for free. It is all we need and its free! I cannot even comprehend why someone would pay that much for CBS.

GFIAFP *** OFFICIAL *** Rookie BUST!

I don't agree. look at Maclin. Plays on an explosive team that passes tha ball 60% of the time and has only Jackson and a handfull of average WRs surrounding him. He could post starting #'s in year 1.
  22. #1LionFan

What is the best FF magazine?

This is the real reason why I get one or two. I got the ESPN mag because it was one of the onle three at this particular store. Although the articles are fairly interesting, most of the content including all of the blurbs on players are taken directly off the free ESPN fantasy site. Other than sh!tcan material...a waste of money. I was getting sick of the digital yahtzee game anyway.

    Trade advice

I ended up declining this deal. Bryant is in a contract year so it may haunt me. One deal that I think I am going to do is Benson @ $9 for the 1.10 pick in the rookie draft @ $11 & Buckhaulter @ $1. This will give me Moreno's potential handcuff (since I have pick 1.01 & intend to take Moreno) and the choice between Nicks or Maclin if the big 5 RBs, 2 big QBs, and Crabtree & Harvin go as expected 1-9. We only start 1 RB with 2 flex spots so I will be fine with Ward, Moreno and a big FA and a bargain or two (Lynch, Addai, etc). I like Benson at $9 but not sold on him, especially in a PPR league. On the other hand, we start a minimum of 3 WR with the option of up to 5. I need WR depth more IMO.

Guy really wants Eagles D off me. I also am really high on their D this year. Would you get Antonio Brant for H. Ward, Eagles D and 3rd round rookie draft pick? Other D's available via FA are GB, SD, NE, Cards
