i did find it curious that Maye threw the ball on 2nd and goal, up 15. I was expecting run, run, FG. But then you look at his overall pass attempts on the year and I think it would be hard to say that situations like that are a common or that Love has never questionably thrown near the goal line.

Love has had a tremendous year but what do you mean by padded stats? The Rams throw a lot, but look at the NFC West race. Have there been a lot of situations where Stafford has been allowed to pad his counting stats where it isn't warranted to be throwing? Neither Stafford or Maye are in the top 5 in pass attempts. maybe im taking "padded" too literally but padding stats to me has always meant a team or coach allowing a player to inflate their stats when game flow and situation wouldn't otherwise call for it.

just as I can't stand the fake political honks that post here, I generally can't stand political social media influencers. I do sort of like her whenever one of her videos pops up on my feed. the girl at the 10/11 minute mark, when she suggest there be a tent so people can come prepared to defend their statements... she's not wrong, the host does this for a living and knows all the talking points even if she doesn't know which direction an interview will go.... but at the same time, if the girl being interviewed doesn't feel prepared, she doesn't have to be there. I usually have similar views to you and agree with you on most stuff but the difference between 18 and 21 is minimal and I think arguments could be made for 21 year olds being less responsible individuals than even their 18 year old selves. Also, we have supposedly grown adults that post on this forum who rely on tiktok and twitter/x for their world views. We actually almost need an age maximum to vote since people seem to get to an age where they are incapable of or refuse to accept new information. Since that will never happen, I doubt we need to be too concerned with brain development on the other end of the spectrum.

one doesn't really have anything to do with the other. it's entirely possible to feel that people should take accountability and "pull themselves up by their bootstraps", as it pertains to our own citizens, and also feel that people should follow the legal processes. there's 2 very nice clubs near me. one was always more expensive and considered nicer... the course was definitely better... and has a wait list. I believe you also need to be recommended by a current member. but the other has made some changes and is now neck and neck. Not sure the cost but I assume still cheaper. I play golf outings at both each year.

As my Rays typically do nothing, I have more interest in what the Mets will do/ have done. Nimmo for Semien is interesting. Nimmo is 32, has been super healthy the past 4 seasons and coming off arguably a career year (very similar production '24 and '25). Semien is 35, usually healthy but has shown steady decline. Better defender. Given the team seems to have more infield depth than outfield when you factor in Baty and Acuna, it's a little bit of an odd move to me. Leaves a hole in left field. I assume they will be going after Bellinger or Kyle Tucker. It also sounds like these moves may be because of Francisco Lindor. Guy has been great as a Met but can't seem to get along with anyone, mostly Jeff McNeil, but I was reading that players like Nimmo and also Soto have an issue with him possibly becoming captain. Obviously Soto isn't going anywhere but trading away Nimmo for Semien who will displace McNeil would suggest those rumors are true. meh. I'm holding out hope they bring Alonso back

The reality is, yes it is laughable because there are plenty of NFL players who get smaller contracts and are set for life after their rookie deals because they smartly manage their money and still live pretty sweet lifestyles.... but I also don't have an issue with the guys who flaunt it, overspend and waste it away. they do put their bodies on the line and I think have every right to enjoy whatever lifestyle they want for as long as they can make it last. Just have to prepare to live with the consequences afterwards. Football players go into a different category for me than baseball/basketball/etc. careers are short, injuries are sometimes lifelong
