It's hard to view anything in FF as a sure fire, slam dunk. A case could be made for Lamb, Hill, Amon-Ra, JJ, Chase etc as the top WR drafted. Chances are the top one drafted won't be the #1 at seasons end. When drafting in round 1, I think it's best to take an approach of "which player do I feel has the best chance to be top 3-5 at their position at worst?". In some ways, the Cowboys not upgrading can be seen as a good thing for fantasy. We don't care if they win more games in real life. We care more that they didn't add a receiver who is going to command too much more target share than Cooks, for example.

I don't disagree at all. I guess in a sense, if a WNBA player is good enough at grabbing boards from all the missed shots and finishing them off at a good enough clip to average a double double, it has to be somewhat impressive in the context of it being the WNBA. If we compare the WNBA to youth basketball to negate those numbers, does that not make it look even worse that Clark has been fairly unspectacular and certainly not dominant, given her collegiate accolades?

8 draft 3 and still have waivers?

ugh, dude... no offense but his post is littered with "my guess", which he points out. There is no evidence that Clark's playstyle is like Steve Nash in terms of movement / pace / decision making. I had read something maybe a week ago that the Fever GM didn't even view her as a true PG. the second half of it is back to what's been discussed ad nauseam in terms of the turnaround time.... She's like halfway through the regular season now. you think it's a pretty accurate statement because you want it to be and for whatever reason you seem to be very invested in Clark and hold her near and dear.
-
but you dont really worry about the ratio as much for someone who plays down low, especially when we are talking low numbers in those categories. Shes not running the point, as you discussed. having the ball stripped or losing the handle 1-2 times a game is palatable for any player who you are not asking or expecting to facilitate. NBA example... kid of cherry picking but Jalen Duren is a nice young player on a bad team.. averages like 14-11. 2.4 apg, 2.1 topg Even someone like Gobert, 1.3 apg, 1.6 topg

understood. I was very general with that statement but as has already been pointed out, the assist to turnover ratio is key and the guard argument doesn't help Clark when taking that into consideration.

The WNBA is on track to lose 50 million this year
WhiteWonder replied to kilroy69's topic in The Geek Club
100x? 2023 revenue was 200M.... the expected revenue for 2024 is 240M. Even if there is some unaccounted for Caitlin Clark effect, where are we coming up with 100x revenue? Even if that was just exaggerating for effect, the WNBA wont even 2x it's revenue. -
the argument can definitely be made. Reese is 13-12-2 Clark is 16-6-7 Clark turns the ball over way more. Similar steals numbers. Clark is a better free throw shooter but Reese is not bad (for the WNBA) and Reese doesn't shoot 3's. If you take away the college hype of Clark, where we wouldn't even have this thread, Reese is probably the slight front runner for ROY.

Cute financial jargon aside, what has changed in the Cowboys offense to genuinely anticipate a decline for a player who is young and has previously done nothing but climbed the fantasy rankings? 2020/21 WR24 in PPG 2022 WR8 2023 WR1 25 years old. Targets, receptions, yards and touchdowns have increased every season in the league. Dak is still the QB, the run game is more or less the same with Pollard having been a disappointment last year. The supporting receiver cast is the same as 2023 (Cooks, Ferguson, Tolbert)... Michael Gallup isn't much of a loss. The line wont project to be as good without last years LT and C but still a solid unit. Kind of just boils down to the holdout situation at this point.

i'd consider it in 2025. I have too many trips lined up the rest of this year. also, only if Jerry attends

I was kidding / baiting the easily baited. buuuuut... she is averaging like 13 and 12 with under 2 turnovers a game and 75% from the foul line.

and Angel Reese is better.. go figure

he is talking about attractiveness, I think. attitude and the way a woman carries herself has a direct impact on how attractive a lot of men will find her to be. take it from a guy who dated a physically hot black girl several years ago. as time went on I just couldn't do it anymore. but it obviously goes for all races.

I don't really care where a receivers QB is rated for fantasy purposes. I think MHJ is in a position to be a target monster in Arizona this season. No one would have rated any Raiders QB very highly during 2023 but Davante Adams amassed 175 targets. I am not suggesting MHJ will get this many targets but the rationale for his fantasy draft capital is similar. Minshew and Pittman... Carr and Olave.... Fields/Baget and DJ Moore .... etc. It's all about opportunity. The guy throwing the ball just needs to be capable of feeding a #1, they don't need to be capable of supporting an elite offense overall. As for would I draft MHJ and where? As evidence in the June mock, I would and I would do it early to mid round 3. I do not consider him a must have, a good bit depends on how my first two rounds shake out, but he is definitely up there on my radar.

Supplemental draft starting Monday July 15th. As per usual, order is reverse order of standings, non snake. Any free agents as of July 15th are locked and available to be drafted by ANY team. So make sure any players you wish to protect are rostered.
-
Remember, draft order is reverse order of standings at the All Star Break Draft is NOT a snake draft. Order is the same for both rounds.

we had been having a discussion.... so much like your liberal media, no reason to check the facts. but honestly even without reading my post, how you could not have read what I said as pure sarcasm is beyond me. -

correct, I had no idea about 2016... I didn't even mention it at all in an earlier post of mine that YOU quoted. Shows how much you actually read before formulating your responses to people. but I am not at all surprised you can't figure out why I laughed. -

I am not a trusting person in general and I don't believe in blind trust. One could easily say that prior to trump, you have been conditioned to believe that politics and our "democracy" is on the up and up. Was it not Hillary and her followers planting seeds of doubt in the 2016 election via russian interference? granted not to the same exhausting degree but, it was there. A traitor? stop. You sound moronic and incapable of having legit conversation.
