Trade: Joe Flacco Headed to Cincinnati
WhiteWonder replied to Mike FF Today's topic in FFToday Board
1. In a 2 QB league, I don’t see how he wouldn’t be owned when he was starting. 10 teamer maybe? With Chase and Higgins he’s got to be owned now just for the chance he clicks like he did two seasons ago in CLE. 2. a veteran like Flacco can start the next day. Of course it’s not ideal but if cincy were in an ideal situation, they wouldn’t be trading for him. -

neither of you are very bright, so you have something in common. math aside, his point remains that you post here an awful lot so OP's post count really means nothing. You spend a lot of time here, you should know edjr likes to troll. and to your other post, no... the fact its about a liberal protester doesn't matter because AGAIN, ed would have posted it if it were a conservative protester. It's what he does and the topic was about paid protesting not liberal paid protesting. hth -
Jets should be 32. I have no desire to start a separate thread about them so this seems like as good a place as any to rant. Woody Johnson is one of the worst owners in all of sports, let alone football who seemingly gets very little criticism in the NY media market. It's insane. Fans wanted a fresh start and a culture change and many fans didn't want to go "back" to Rex Ryan because they wanted to move forward. Even though Rex gave them the only success they have experienced in the last 15 years and "moving forward" has gotten them nothing but the likes of Adam Gase, Robert Saleh, first time GMs, and losses. I loved Aaron Glenn as a player but his defenses never ranked in the top 20 in Detroit. I was hopeful that he had the right qualities to be a Dan Campbell type leader of men and change the culture and hold players accountable. Rex was able to do most of that (maybe not holding players accountable often enough). Another criticism of Rex was that his teams were undisciplined. Too many penalties and turnovers. Through 5 weeks, all I see is undisciplined, sloppy play for the Glenn era Jets. I see us cutting Xavier Gipson (finally) and replacing him with a guy off the Bengals practice squad who we then cut for his mistakes.... I though Mougey came up through the scouting ranks! These guys were Woody Johnson typical hires. First timers who won't stand up to him when he inevitably starts to meddle. I wanted them to draft Jaxson Dart... no idea if he was even on their radar for a trade up back into round 1 but the Giants did. They want Justin Fields to be the next Mayfield/Darnold but unless you can coach him into better accuracy and more importantly better reading of a defense, that's never going to happen. Likely would have been better off with an old gun slinger for a 1 year bridge option.

I don’t really know what to say to you at this point as it’s clear to me you are not understanding the concept of two distinctly different conversations within the same thread and you also just seem confused in general. 1. OP (edjr) is a troll in regards to politics. He literally made 1 single post after his OP that had any hint of a serious response. 2. taking a playful jab means he’s taking a jab at political posters on both sides. It has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not he actually believes this woman is a paid protester. He cares more about his thread title than anything else (as evidenced by his post ABOUT HIS OWN thread title) 3. It’s really not an important distinction. Being paid for any part you have at a protest is being paid to protest unless you are a W2 employee for the organization where you have off site responsibilities on a day to day basis. For shiits and giggles let’s say this woman shows up and they ask her to march and hold a sign or they ask her to stand in one spot and “direct traffic” . If she was being paid in either scenario then she is in fact being paid to protest. 4. again, it wasn’t about sides. I can assure you edjr did not post that video specifically because it’s liberal protests. He posted it because of the notion of possibly being paid. He would 100% have posted it if it was Kamala protests. Find me where he said anything about Lib or Dem to support your “both sides have done it” meaning anything here. -
Joe Burrow - Requires surgery - Out for a MINIMUM of 3 months
WhiteWonder replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
I don’t think he has any chance to go 5-4 either but I do think bringing someone in after week 3, they would have had a realistic chance to go 5-6. At the very least it’s something that should have been attempted. Browning has not looked competent -
Started with 800+ entries (I assume since the standings are 9 pages) and looks like exactly 300 remaining after 5 weeks

How is that a backtrack? The two are not even remotely related . You’re grasping. My statement about the OP was in response to your comment about people saying “the dems!” Which you put in spastic font. My prior statement about DD was simply to show that they did indeed make an attempt to connect the dots rather than just making a claim. No one has to agree with it. they are two separate conversations. OP has likely been here a LOT longer than you and participates in many different types of discussions and events on this forum. It would be like someone pointing out my post count and failing to realize how much of it is “1.02 - RB Bijan Robinson, ATL” or earlier years spent at the main bored. -

Agreed. He can probably spark a passing game that has been dreadful though considering those weapons. Can he go 5-4 until Burrow can realistically be back? Again, a move should have been made prior to week 4 -

oh lord. 1st of all, people lie. I am not saying she is lying but I am also saying she would likely never admit to being paid because obviously that is the point the young man is trying to make. She would never give him the satisfaction and we both know that. 2nd, if you are being paid to help organize the protest, you are being paid to protest... People talking about lack of evidence and dismissing the organization website and funding pages but watching the video for clues like directing traffic? i mean come on now... and again, being paid to help organize a protest is semantics. She got paid to blow her kazoo or she got paid to "direct traffic" it's all part of the protest. and finally....... WHAT ABOUT TRUMP? hilarious because this topic is about paid protesters and it's actually not specifically about any type of protester. -
Virtual Reality Golf - Another reason to never leave the house?
WhiteWonder replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
of course. if you hit a fraction more behind the ball than intended, it's just going to skip up off the range turf and give you an acceptable shot / ball flight. On the course that may be a complete chunk or a heavy shot that comes up 10 yards short. I have a friend with a membership to our closest indoor place and when we play there he hits massive slices all day. On the real course he hits a lot more dead pulls. I would guess that the turf is keeping his clubface a little more square or even open and his swing path is definitely a slicer. But on a real course his clubface is totally different at impact into the ground. -
Virtual Reality Golf - Another reason to never leave the house?
WhiteWonder replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
what I want, and i'm sure they exist just not any locally by me, is an indoor facility with real grass like TGL uses for teebox, rough and fairway that they can maintain or swap out. It's too easy to hit great golf shots off synthetic turf or at least have your bad shots be much less pronounced and I think it hurts the feedback you get from the trackman data. -

sadly for the Jets I don't have the energy... they didn't hire the coach or gm that I wanted, or do what I wanted them to do at QB and I think it's going to be a very long 2-3 seasons. however long trash Woody Johnson gives them. I admit I was jealous watching SNF seeing the Pats have a promising QB and an experienced HC. -

glad they finally made a move for a veteran. Should have done it 2 weeks ago. I'm guessing this was the cheapest option and at 2-3 its kind of like "well lets see if Joe can win a few games and keep us in the hunt but if not it's a lost season". at 2-0 they really should have been thinking "we can get through this at .500 until mid december." -

you're asking me a question I have already stated I can't answer and that I don't disagree with you. There is not going to be the hard evidence you're asking for like bank statements from this woman showing deposits from rise and resist It's been like 4 times now that I have mentioned their funding page and donations links and asked what this money would or could be used for and you're just choosing to ignore that part. -

WhiteWonder replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
if you watched some of the video, not even until the end, you don't need to be familiar with rise and resist. It explains what they are and what they do. But my question was about the funding site they use with donation links. So what is the purpose for this donation money and what might the funds be used for? Like I said a few posts back, it seems plausible that they could be reimbursing protestors for things which means they are being paid. I'm not saying they are... just saying its possible and most TV news is going to go with it if there is plausibility. -

So what I was trying to say was that if there was actually a large group of protestors being paid by an organization to attend all their protests, I might chuckle, but I would have zero issue with it. .. and my point was that your sarcastic comparison to trans women in womens sports is dumb because that is actually a serious issue and I think it's sad that you're making light of it. TDS? You may be right in the case of extreme magas. Although I think acting like TDS is not a real thing would be sticking your head in the sand. Objectively, I have never seen people be so obsessed with being anti any president, spending money on anti-trump paraphernalia, being glued to their echo chamber msm channels, etc. I have a few friends and family members who simply cannot have a regular discussion about any normal topic without finding a way to interject something about trump. That is the TDS that I see most often.
