🇺🇸Father Trump Talk-🚨The Official Thread of the Week Magaverse🚨Lady Squissy 🚨 Whole Lotta Rosie Going Bye-Bye 👋

you seem to be caught up in your usual tunnel vision and are making the assumption that I am saying anything negative about Trump... lumping me in with whoever you're in a pissing match with today. I'm not acting like Trump was or was not doing anything. I was ONLY pointing out that the concept of buying someone anything, material or experiential has nothing to do with ignoring them or not. Sorry you can't wrap your mind around just that concept without continuing to try to swing your little internet peen all over -
it definitely sucks. I think the only thing to do was what had been suggested at the time. By sort of pausing the draft and giving him a makeup pick.... but he seemed to not want that and also Im not sure we knew the full severity yet i mean, if everyone wants to give him an extra supplemental pick, I wouldn't vote against it.... just seems rough that cmh loses Col and gets supplemental player #25 and BC loses Giolito and gets supplemental player #26

i'm not agreeing to the claim made by the other poster... you literally said it (getting someone tickets to a UFC fight) was the exact opposite of ignoring them. -
That's a little different for me. I mean at the end of the day, I would be fine leaning toward no replacements since I don't think this is anything we've done in the past. But to me, Cole = extremely high value supplemental pick who would be replaced with a clearly lesser value supplemental pick Giolito is an average regular draft pick who would be replaced with a far superior supplemental pick? I dont see how that works not trying to be a hard ass but
-
that would be spectacular for my dynasties.
-
I don't think it's a great signing. I don't know if money should be spent on Queen, BUT the Ravens issue is not a rushing attack. Yes, it's an upgrade for a year or two but not what this team was lacking or needs to take the next step.

eh. that's a reach. buying things or experiences for someone =/= quality time spent or attention. nothing against Trumpster but that's just flawed logic. -
@cmh6476 to finish us off. and possibly replace Cole depending on news before 3/20

Well this backfired...over a small amount of $$

Nope. Article headline insinuates he was released directly because he won arbitration. That is not the case hth -
taylor was on my short list for that turn, along with grillo, ghim and noren as well as Hairass English but good lord his track record here is so bad.
-
super smooth draft and supp, as always. Even faster than I remember. 8 days before opening games. great job
-
knew that one was coming 5.9 Doug Ghim 6.1 Alex Noren

I say misleading because the title makes it sound like the team released him directly because he beat them in arbitration and they were upset about it. If they don't sign those other big name free agents, he doesn't get released regardless. but yes, you are correct that it made it easy for them to do. -

misleading headline. I would say his release had almost nothing to do with the team losing in arbitration and much more to do with the team signing Matt Chapman at third base and Jorge Soler as their DH. They didn't really need Davis and Wilmer Flores both on the bench. -
it’s not the second and fifth I question
-
I think it screams of Joe and Brian knowing their seats are hot. Rebuilding teams don’t usually trade away picks for a player they have to give a big contract to. It’s generally the other way around. guess they are going all in with Jones. Better draft Odunze.
-
He is still absolutely a franchise QB, imo.
-
3.9 Tom Hoge 4.1 Keith Mitchell @Fumbleweed
-
28.04 - Freddy Peralta, P, MIL
-
absolutely. I had him typed in with Hideki at the top of round 2 and talked myself into Moweekawa
-
no offense but you're saying "lol not gonna argue this" but you're the one arguing it and it's a little odd because we are actually in 100% agreement and it seems like you are just confused about my post or like you just wanted someone else to argue with on that topic i'll explain just one more time and let it be. I agree with the premise that having a very good veteran QB behind a promising rookie is a good thing (for the bears or any team). I was pointing out to Seafoam that Justin Fields does not fit that description.
-
i'm not with the league being only 12 teams and the depth of talented, unowned players available I have felt for the past 2-3 seasons that it might actually be a detriment to have the most ping pong balls in the supplemental lottery. You can just as easily get a stud at the end of round 27 and have several still to choose from at the top of round 28. that said, Judge is already dinged up, plus I can't bring myself to pick a Yankee unless there is no other choice
-
Yes... a vet... that was my point. I literally said that Fields was NOT what seafoam was describing
-
went back another page or two and didn't see any other mention of Fields. Unlike you, don't have time to go back and read more pages of posts so if there was some sort of comment I missed that helps explain this nonsense, feel free to key me in. Otherwise it sounds like you know about as much football as you do politics
-
ok. "agreed" was just me agreeing that the bears, or any team for that matter, would love to have a very good veteran behind a promising rookie
