haha, I'll delete my comment. I only came here to post it because listen2me popped into our thread to nitpick the Bryson selection. To be fair, he was correct. Bryson was not on my radar because he's never played particularly well here and I think the Masters gods are punishing him for that time he called Augusta a par 68

it sounds like friday-sunday will be fairly picturesque. i paid no attention to tee times as I drafted. there are 30 groups. I have 5 in the early wave tomorrow maybe it won't be better but that's my gut feeling

I would assume most (maybe not tiger) would prefer to avoid 40 mph gusting winds in favor of playing 36 in ideal conditions on friday. also I have 1 golfer teeing off after 11:00am tomorrow

so, late/early is the draw to be? assuming the delay tomorrow causes late tee times to not even go off until friday?

Patatas bravas was one of my favorite tapas in both Madrid and Barcelona last year. Pretty much fried chunks of potato with a spicy red sauce and milder white sauce drizzled on top. Im biased because I was just there (and apparently heading back to Barcelona for a few days after a Portugal trip in late September) I could drink beer and eat tapas all day. It's all super inexpensive over there and many of the tapas are larger portions than appetizers at american restaurants. Croquetas, bombas, patatas bravas, spanish omelet, huevos rotos, small sandwiches with iberica ham and cheese on bread or croissant, mini chorizos are my favorites. So many good ones though iberica ham is expensive as fock though. i guess the pigs eat strictly acorns from the region and it really does give the ham its flavor.. delicious.

Not that I care about rankings but I find that surprising. Almost every ranking site I browse for the bigger events, as well as popular statistical models have Matsumama ranked very high. At least in the top 10 if not top 5.

The only aspect of that which I find to be disturbing is requiring all caddies to be black. Seems pretty focked up in multiple ways. On one hand, it allows the rich white males to play slave owner whenever they golf.... while at the same time keeping poorer white guys from making (most likely) decent money as caddies at such a prestigious place.

when you say hush puppies I'm assuming you are referring to the croquetas. They are focking delicious and if you've never had them, I highly suggest you give them a try... even at an americanized tapas place. the ham ones are the best but he already has iberica ham on the menu as well. He has some great tapas on there. Spanish omelette is great, spicy chorizo also great. The lentil stew is the only thing that sounds gross but it also looks like its a family dish.

I never understood people complaining about the old past champions still playing in the Masters. As far as i'm concerned, they earned the right to roll up to the first tee in a wheelchair and putt the ball down the fairway. Put them all in the last groups and don't worry about how slow they play while shooting 100. They won a green jacket Freddy isn't in that category but at some point he'd be looked at the same as Ian Woosnam, etc.

for these reasons, I decided immediately as the Players ended, that I was picking Harman in round 1 even if it wasn't "value" just to make sure he wasn't picked before me early in round 2. Then I saw his masters performances and decided I could wait until round 2 . I still very much wanted him because he has yet to play Augusta as a major champion and is playing the best golf of his career and watching him seemingly drain every putt at Sawgrass..... but the extra depth with LIV players threw me and I couldn't resist Cam Smith

It looks like the edex points heading into the Players were copied and pasted to the Masters sheet, so I updated these to reflect the totals after the Players. As always, hopefully someone double checks. Also worth noting that this is event #5 but major #1 and there are more edex points on the line... have to look back at the season discussion thread and see what the points breakdown is supposed to be
