Why would the schedule be unbalanced? Do we play every other team a certain amount of times? There are 22 regular season weeks so I guess we do play every other team twice but how did this work when we had 14 teams? 16? I don't even pay much attention to who I am going up against each regular season week. I just try to win the most categories to add to my tally. i think the format is great. Last time I was in a title game i lost to burt, i dont remember how many years ago that was but i definitely don't remember this same issue. I'm sure we had a player being rested here or there, or a pitcher being saved for the post season but now even eliminated teams are just shutting guys down to not risk injury for next year. Curious if other recent title game contestants felt the same.... I brought it up now so if/when I lose no one thinks i'm complaining for myself. It just honestly feels nothing like any other week of what myself and RHR did to get here. Just a week ago, setting a lineup felt normal.

I’m going to rant now just so it’s clear that I recognize both teams playing in the title game are dealing with the same issues. since I have not been in a title week in a long time, and don’t remember it being this bad, we have to shorten the regular season next year. I’m literally having starting pitchers, aces, go 3 innings because their team is either eliminated or already clinched with nothing to play for. I’ve got stud hitters sitting for the same reason, scrambling to find scrubs to put in to get some production. Basically playing a title week with nothing close to the team that got me here and I assume the Padres are in the same situation. It’s gross. :end rant:

It was a dead spot in the draft where I was not ready to pull the trigger on a Bo Nix and the next tier of TE's has not yet started. Unfortunately I missed Njoku and had to settle for Andrews. Ancient team for sure, older than I planned

Rays are pulling guys after 2 at bats. Caminero, Lowe. Gonna be a weird week. We should look into eliminating one regular season week next year and having the playoffs end a week earlier.

Yeah that’s the issue with us waiting until the final week of the season to have the title match. It tends to favor owners with access to more teams in general or just luck of how the day off falls. I had one player Monday because aside from the rays being off I also didn’t have access to NYY, Miami, Pitt, Arizona, CHC.. all fairly important to me. Had those teams been playing and then off on a different day, I could have fielded a full roster using all Rays that day. So yes I was lucky that your full Monday roster didn’t go nuts because you’ll have a full or close to it on Thursday, as you said. So no true off day it is what it is, not a huge deal just a little luck of the draw

Im not reading all the posts in here since I last posted, which was maybe only once... So Kimmel commented when tucker carlson was fired right? celebrated it? What else did he say... anything about consequences? It would be nice if late night talk show hosts could stay out of politics or at the very least, just stick to attempting comedy about political people and topics. There just really isn't a reason to inject their own personal beliefs so strongly, certainly no reason to do it when someone is killed.

i watched most of both Mets/Nats games this weekend and I don't think I have ever seen more unlucky plays for the Mets or any team happen in a 2 day period. Yes, you have to attribute skill to a lot of the nationals defensive plays but some, like this one, were just dumb luck. there was also a very sharp line drive hit by Lindor that a leaping Josh Bell turned into an unassisted double play, the same OFer from this clip had another great catch late in that game, On saturday in extra innings, Acuna laid down a (bad) bunt but as he and the catcher collided, and because the bunt was popped up a bit, Starling Marte was unable to advance to 3rd. I don't even think the catcher catches the popup so the collision, which delayed the play and subsequent throw to first likely kept the Mets from having man on 3rd and 1 out and winning that game in the bottom of the 10th.

Why would I care if he is a Jew or not? Actually it's idiotic that you can't understand the broader goal behind tariffs. I'm just going to use China, as an example, since liberal heroes have clamored for fair trade specifically with China in the past (it's just bad now because Trump). The amount of products, parts, etc that we import from China because they make all this stuff cheaply (with their top notch labor practices that you would scream to the heavens about if it was happening over here) creates millions of jobs for their people. When our tariffs on their products are super low, there is no reason for us to look internally. Capitalism, baby. They place high tariffs on the US, which further dissuades them from importing from us, thus having a minimal positive impact on job creation here. how do you propose we fix these issues or how does Friedman propose we do? Should we encourage a weaker dollar? How do we push China to change their currency and trade practices? Do you really think the issue lies in Chinese folks purchasing power? It sounds to me like you are suggesting if we lower tariffs on China and reduce trade barriers with China, which would lower the prices of imported US goods for their citizens, that Chinese economic growth and purchasing power for its citizens would theoretically improve... yet a decade ago when tariffs on China were lower, they were not purchasing our goods. Their own government gives them little reason to.

it's interesting how a free market consists of other countries having tariffs on the US, but not the US having tariffs on them... or people coming from foreign countries to take jobs away from Americans. Interesting how Tim only wants the Us to play by these "free market" rules and thinks that the shiit other countries do would ever allow there to be a true free market.

Terry was good in both games with Mariota last year. I could see him locking on to Terry. I wouldn't shy away from Terry based on the Qb issue there.

Williams and Warren Hollywood and Shakir would have been a tossup and unfortunately Shakir had a good game but stick with Hollywood over Hampton, imho.
