  1. How do you know? How do you know they didn’t fantasize about it and how do you know if the perfect situation came along they wouldn’t find themselves “falling in love” with their student? It only takes one.
  2. 22 year old teacher finds 17/18 year old student to be attractive, funny, etc. they bang. End of the world 22 year old waitress at restaurant frequented by the same 17/18 year olds finds one to be atttactive, funny m, etc. they bang. No one cares. Yet both happen between an employee and someone they meet while they are supposed to be doing their job again, I believe in teacher ethics or educator code or whatever you want to call it so im not condoning student/teacher relationships… and this case was 14 year olds … just saying
  3. What changed is 14 and middle school. My longer post explains my stance and yes, if my 18 year old son nailed his hot 22 teacher I’d give him an ‘atta boy
  4. I saw her age (at the time) of 22 and went back to my usual line of thinking when this stuff happens. Teachers straight out of college should not be allowed to teach high school until they put in a few years in grade school and then middle school. When you have a 22 year old teaching in a school full of 17-18 year old boys, what do you think is going to happen? It's wrong because of "teacher code" and whatnot but you're talking about young adults who were within a year or so of being in the same high school or college together where no one would give two shits how much sex they had. Now of course, that is not the case here as its a 14 year old middle school student and a 22 year old should really not be going after a barely pubescent 14 year old boy.

    Democrats winning elections

you guys are true political savants, with these deep hitting discussions on state senate and governor elections
  7. I have interacted with Rickie a few times and he seems very genuine and appreciative of the fans. Granted a lot of them are hot girls . I've also always been a J Day fan. I was trying to pick someone else to get on board with when those two were struggling so badly... first it was Cam Smith.. but meh. Hovland and Homa both seem very likeable

My Week 10 2023 NFL Power Rankings

Well thankfully the Jets did not make Voltaire consider adjusting their rank My notes from last nights game : giving up an early special teams touchdown is back breaking for a team that is not built to score a lot or come from too far behind The defense played extremely well, as usual. I would say they were responsible for maybe 10 points given up? With the rest coming from the return TD, and turnovers giving the Chargers the ball at the 2 yard line, etc. In today's NFL, you can only do so much when constantly put in negative spots. Wilson still holds on to the ball way too long and takes bad sacks. The offensive line is doing him no favors with all their injuries, and overall he has been much smarter with the football. Last year, or as a rookie, he would have chucked some of those up into triple coverage, etc. 8 penalties vs 4 for LA... the team still continues to play undisciplined too often. 4 fumbles 3 lost vs 3 with none lost for LA No offense to LA but the Jets really couldn't have played much worse of a game last night. Next week will be a must win though with Buffalo and Miami on tap after.

    ***Wagering thread***

it's just been up and down for me all season. I'm not some big time gambler (although the IRS would say otherwise... and that's a story for a different time ). Volume wise, sometimes but my wagers are usually $5 a pop, $10 max... plus my little $1 or $2 lotto ticket 20 leg prop parlays. I deposited a hundo on fanduel right before NFL season. Used half of it right away on their Super Bowl futures promo. I took the 49ers at +1000 and get a $5 bonus bet for every win up to 10 wins. My account balance after that has fluctuated between $25-$100 which doesn't sound horrible. Getting entertainment and not reloading. But it's sounds worse when you factor in the amount of free bets received from the no risk SGP offers, the super bowl special, etc. I have also bet some NBA and MLB playoffs in there as well. Most recently Mikal Bridges focked me by 3 points on a 5 leg SGP at +2000

Do You Still Get In The Holiday Spirit At Christmas Time ?

much like the timing of this post, the fact that Thanksgiving gets largely overlooked so people can start engrossing themselves in christmas as soon as halloween is over has taken a lot of the interest out of it for me over the years. Not bashing your thread, just found it ironic I prefer thanksgiving myself. It pretty much checks off all the boxes people usually mention for x-mas (friends, family, good food, booze, football, good moods.. maybe minus whoever is hosting ) with the exception of presents. Personally, I enjoy giving gifts and kind of dislike receiving them. My 89 year old grandmother still gets upset if she doesn't have an x-mas list for everyone in the family . I am tough to shop for and have been more minimalistic recently so I end up returning most gifts. Experiences over stuff... so the gifts I usually give are things like broadway tickets, sporting events, concerts, gift cards to destination restaurants (ex. somewhere in AC that my grandmother likes and it just means the actual gift is spending a day together eating and gambling)
  12. Garrett Wilson .... although it's really hard not to love Quincy Williams. It was Kevin Kiermaier, so seeing him go to Toronto sucked. Still pulling for him but now it's Randy Arozarena. In a typically boring sport, I am going to gravitate toward the guys who go all out and play with a little swagger. Nic Claxton ... been fun to watch him develop. Bridges and Cam Thomas are fun to watch as well. oh, and it's still Mickelson for golf followed by Tricky Rickie.

    ** 2024/2025 Golf Talk Thread **

I had a warbird 3 wood as my first "driver" i've seen some of those vids. about what I would expect, especially from a good golfer. A good golfer can play with anything. Of course they will prefer the newer tech that they can max out. I think as you get higher in handicap and to your weekend hackers, the technology is so much more beneficial in terms of forgiveness, bigger sweet spots, lighter shafts and heads and shock absorption (on those off center hits)

    Cryptocurrency

i think the point was its a mustang and a nissan. possibly indicative of someone who made some good play money on an investment but not enough to retire off of, which one might have thought given the bravado. But being that he was interested in btc and crypto at an early age, he likely didn't have a lot to invest or possibly wasn't really investing way back then.

    Cryptocurrency

ehh, i'd argue that those transactions are not representative of replacing fiat currency and are more representative of another, possibly preferred method of funds transfer.

    Cryptocurrency

I've always appreciated the good insight in this thread (not to be confused with the blind pumping or blind bashing), assuming your money is where your "mouth" is, i'm sure you've made plenty of real money on crypto. I am happy to say my eth trades have made me a bit. Anyone who says they don't wish they bought BTC when it was even $500/btc and then sold after that first big fomo run up is full of crap. Count me as wishing I had been in at that point. I do think there is a difference between posters who are anti crypto / simply naysayers and those like myself who just view it as a tech investment and have always said it is laughable to say BTC will be replacing fiat currency, as many used to say in this very thread. (hint: it's never happening). The fact that you say you will probably pull out completely in 3-4 years suggests you don't actually believe it will replace fiat. Otherwise, you would never sell a coin. .... and I don't even recall if you were someone who was on that train (replacing fiat) or not but I do kind of recall your general tone being along those lines. I would agree that crypto isn't going anywhere but also have to probably admit that some of the "naysayers" were, in fact correct when it came to some of the ponzi-like activity we ended up witnessing.

My Week 10 2023 NFL Power Rankings

everyone has different criteria for power rankings, which is why I don't bother following industry ones. For example, as bad as Carolina has been on the field, the fact Bryce young is a rookie and Theilen has been a big help for him, Mingo has shown a few glimpses, even if Sanders was a waste Hubbard looks passable... It just feels like they have more to be excited about moving forward than a team like the Giants. Daboll looks in over his head after a fluky 2022, they are stuck with Jones contract for 1 more year, Waller can't stay healthy which isn't a shock and by far their best player is a running back in a league that doesn't value them. I'm sure they will be deciding which QB to draft in a nice draft class. With no one standing head and shoulders above, If I were a Giants fan i'd be hoping they win a few games rather than potentially having the first pick. None of those bottom ranked teams have a shot to win a super bowl, so I guess my thinking is there needs t be some consideration for how the future looks.

My Week 10 2023 NFL Power Rankings

I thought you had Seattle at 5. Not important though. if the jets win tonight do you adjust and place them ahead of Buffalo and possibly Cleveland? I’m not advocating for it just curious. At 5-3 with wins over Buffalo, Philly and LA. Also team feels very similar to Cleveland in terms of style.

I’ve been browsing for a pre owned sim 3 wood. Original not sim 2. My rental set in Spain was sim woods and p790 irons. Didn’t care for the driver but loved the 3 wood.
