    Most underrated sandwiches

im not sure how many of these are underrated or overlooked.... i would think back to being a kid and a classic grilled cheese with a bowl of tomato soup after coming in from playing in the snow / shoveling

I had always just assumed you lost your dad when he went out for cigarettes and never came home but seriously, I'm sorry for your loss bud . I'm not looking forward to that day. As others have said, enjoy the memories.

    ***Wagering thread***

more free bets to rope you in. It's the same reason places offer no brainer specials. DK doesn't do it as much as they used to but I remember when they would often have "hammer the over" specials and drop the o/u for every X amount of people that wagered until it always got down to half a point. Or props like "Lamar Jackson to complete 1 pass" (which I suppose an immediate injury would have been great for them). My father would always ask me how they could offer all that free money to users since the max wagers were usually around $50.... It's pretty simple. 1. the promotions bring in new customers via word of mouth 2. It makes users happy in the short term 3. The winning will be seen as free/house money by a majority of people which will then be wagered and lost just as fast as it was won. 4. the longer they keep you happy and interested, the more likely you are to start depositing more of your own money, and chasing losses.

Deutscher Fußball - Fins v Chiefs

the matchup dictates I watch. Too many fantasy relevant players going and I have shares in a decent amount from Mahomes to Tua, Hill and Waddle. Even without fantasy implications, it should be one of the more interesting games so far this year. Also after watching clips of Mike McDaniels interviews, it is hard to believe that guy is an NFL head coach

Should have added Henry anytime TD but either way hit a small parlay Henry over 12.5 rec yds, Dionte over 59.5 yds, Warren over 2.5 receptions

    IR Or roster increase

So this seems like a key thing to vote on in the offseason. "Should IR be used for OUT/IR or only players who are on the NFL IR list?" My preference would be keeping it as it is, but that's mostly because I don't like the idea of potentially increasing our bench. Not counting DST and Kicker we have 7 starting players and 7 bench. I never liked the idea of having a bench that was larger than the starting lineup. I feel like allowing players designated as OUT for the week to be placed in an injured slot is a decent compromise. Less need to think about dropping a player due to injury, but when that player is no longer listed as out, you won't be able to add/drop or trade until you clear your IR

    IR Or roster increase

I am "working" from home today and had some time to re-read this discussion and think on it. You are correct but it didn't need to be that way. This is where most of my frustration came from. Technically, our rules were very easy to track. All anyone had to do was look at the 2022 yahoo league setup/rules/scoring etc. I understand people wanted to move to ESPN, but the logical thing to do would have been to "copy and paste" everything from 2022 as a starting point and then make any changes from there. The willy-nilly creation of the new ESPN league is the main reason for any clusterfock.... and IMO the secondary issue was the mass amount of suggested changes posted in multiple threads. I think to some degree people are addicted to change for the sake of change. but getting Mike to set us up with our own forum was a good idea. At least it keeps everything in one place and on the front page Absolutely. I think the creation of the ESPN league was done with partial immediate action before you guys even did your voting threads, etc. We shouldn't have that issue moving forward unless you guys change the league hosting site again I think I'm just used to my long running ESPN leagues and the fact that the NFL has changed so much in the last 2-3 seasons. I really think the expanded regular season and expanded playoffs give teams a little more incentive to place players on IR for the minimum 4 weeks as opposed to just having them be "OUT" for 2-3 weeks. That extra game and extra playoff spot keeps more teams alive longer in the season and maybe they feel like they can afford to let a key player get fully healthy with an IR stint. And more incentive to rule players OUT for a week due to something minor that would have been gutted out in the past... that's my take, at least. several years ago it seemed like FF teams had more players constantly listed O for weeks at a time.

I always thought underdog was more DFS with weekly league draft format. maybe I’m confusing them with someone else and I’m sure they do regular sports betting as well

Which TE to pick up for ROS?

McBride. Ertz has to miss 3 more games minimum right? And McBride is their TE of the future. With Murray set to return probably in week 10 and probably not running like Kyler Murray, I could see McBride continuing to see target volume

My 2023 NFL Power Rankings Week 9

I do believe they can make the playoffs just based on the defense, Garrett and Hall. I even think Zach can do just enough, extending plays with his legs, showing off his arm from time to time and limiting mistakes. The big issue will be the offensive line where they are down AVT for the year and just added Connor McGovern and Wes Schweitzer to the IL. Tippman has been banged up and we don't want Duane Brown anywhere near the starting unit. Right now Billy Turner would be starting at RG and thats IF Tippman can play this week. They signed Saffold today. If they make the playoffs, could Rodgers really play? I think it's incredibly optimistic. I have no doubt the initial steps in his rehab went faster than expected but there are much more major hurdles that i'm not sure will go ahead of schedule. It would also beg the question of if it would actually be the best move for them? If they win 10 games, for example, with Wilson under center.... would a less than 100% Rodgers who hasn't played since basically August give them the best chance to win a playoff game? Most people will just say yes because its Rodgers and Zach Wilson but i'm not so sure. Of course is he is roughly 100% and can do everything he needs to do on the field then yes.

Sweat to Bears / Chase to 49ers

not breaking but didn't see a topic on it. why are the Bears giving up high draft capital for a rental player? https://www.nfl.com/news/commanders-trading-de-montez-sweat-to-bears-for-second-round-pick

Sweat to Bears / Chase to 49ers

I'm obviously not ruling out that they had a handshake deal in place and if the Bears sign him it's a fair trade for a 27 year old, very good pass rusher. Hopefully they didn't overpay by a ton. I just think there would have to be a decent overpay with guaranteed money for him to forego free agency in favor of a rebuild. Where as Chase might take less to play on a title contender with Bosa, as you said... OR San Fran might be totally fine just giving up a 3rd for a rental with no deal in place.

stop being bent out of shape and reaching. No where did I say I "confirmed no deal". My entire post that you quoted is very clearly my own opinion. Any rational person reading it would agree.

Sweat to Bears / Chase to 49ers

woah, settle down, champ. How am I whining and crying? What details do you want? factual details I provided: Chase is younger than Sweat, he cost the 49ers less draft capital, Chase is also a rental player, San Fran has playoff and SB aspirations right now. what about that doesn't qualify as factual details?
  23. WhiteWonder

Sweat to Bears / Chase to 49ers

I don't see how they could have a deal in place. mid season deadline trade, what incentive does Sweat have to agree to a handshake deal right now? It would have to be something over what his agent feels he can get on the open market in the offseason with guaranteed money in case of injury
  24. WhiteWonder

Sweat to Bears / Chase to 49ers

San Fran gets the younger, better player from Washington for less draft capital. He is also potentially a rental but of course, SF has aspirations right now.

Sweat to Bears / Chase to 49ers

I mean, I'm sure thats the plan but I am also sure it's a pretty big gamble to make with a 2nd (early) round pick. I get the feeling they would have to really overpay compared to other teams to convince him to sign to that "rebuild"... or tag him which would feel like a waste of $ on their part and would probably not sit well. Just seems like the state this franchise is in, they would be better off keeping that pick and drafting someone they can control for 4 seasons.
