I never even knew of 29G posting at the geek club, but then again for many years I was a main bored poster only. I think 2022, we all just assumed she no showed but I am almost certain someone at the geek club posted last year about her passing. I don't even think it was it's own topic, I think it was part of another.

We had 12 last season but I think 14 before that. When Ted passed, I feel like Posty came back to give us an even 14 and then when 29G passed, Posty didn't need to return for us to at least have an even 12. edit: 12 teams since 2022.

looking at yahoo history, I don't see a 2011 season. It looks like 2012 was my first year (for some reason I chose the Marlins even though the Rays were available) I didn't even remember there being 16 teams back then. I switched to Tampa in 2013 and then in 2014 the league was down to 14 teams.

my only memory of edjr was that he was running the Giants and then quit after the initial draft when the supplemental balls didn't go his way. pretty typical behavior for him even though we have become internet friendly over the years. 29G apparently was a she who came over to the forum with a wave of women from some other internet message board about curly women's hair. I had no clue. We used to private message back and forth a lot this time of year as I always suspected they needed a bit of guidance with this league. Pretty sure they were here before me though. I was told they also passed a few years ago.

I would only be interested in it personally if we were adding 2 quality owners. It's very hard to find someone from FFToday... as i mentioned before, I only had luck with RHR and whiffed big time on CDub and Gavin.... some of our best, more recent additions were bbascom (someones friend I think?) and dcb (my brother) the losses of Ted and 29 Guests were sad, even though 29 Guests would go mia from time to time.

okay, preacher man. I know you're not the sharpest but I think even you can grasp the concept of "not just going chalk". Sure, everyone can just copy/paste from fantasy pros and have lamb, jefferson, hill, chase and st. brown. Doesn't make for a very interesting topic.

You agree on possibly expanding or just keeping it how we are? I don’t think I really took a stance in my post, hahaha. I’ve had a spreadsheet for several seasons now and I know dcb uses one for the Mets (because I sent him my template )

I stopped after the first post of this novel. Was there a chapter about your day trading career? saw some mention of health in the final post, so I’m sorry to hear about that. It’s not necessarily about being creative I suppose. Wrong choice of wording by me. but year to year the top 5 changes pretty dramatically so it’s nice to see a wider range of players listed in top 5s I think.

And since I am bored, I will throw out the idea of expanding the league back to 14 teams for next year.... We defintely have a good thing going with our current 12. Everyone is active and aware. Definitely don't want owners for the sake of having more owners... we might end up with a repeat of CDub ... or even TommyGavin (I forget his old username) who was an absentee Mets owner for a season or two. But it's always seemed weird that there is no Yankee or Philly representation. RIP Ted, but no Dodgers rep is weird too. Would be cool to see another small market team represented as well. The Geek club is a cesspool. I got lucky finally hitting on RHR joining the league. That puts me at a .333 average for geek club invites. It would probably have to be friends/family. Maybe it's best to just stick with what is working. Curious what others think
