I just bet the euros at +140 put your $$ on team USA accordingly

when he says turmoil I think he simply means the idea that a LIV player was a captains pick for the RC. With how much controversy still surrounds that, despite all the egg on the face of the PGA tour and that the RC isnt something they can control, it still rubs people the wrong way and could potentially be a distraction. Also, Brooks had previously been on record about not caring about team stuff anyway

While it's tough to go from a hall of fame QB to Jordan Love, people seem to forget that previously they were going from a hall of fame QB to Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers was just Rodgers. People also forget that Rodgers didn't lead the Packers to anything of note since 2010(11). He couldn't beat Jared Goff and the Lions last year to make the playoffs. We can point to injury, the defense, the loss of Adams (though he had Adams for 8 years before that). I don't think losing him is going to hurt as much as some people/media have made it out to be. If Watson continues to develop, along with the other young receivers, and they continue to deploy a successful 2 pronged rushing attack, Green Bay can be a decent team in the short term. Then it's just up to Love, as it is with any younger QB.

"Blind Side" subject Michael Oher says family scammed him
WhiteWonder replied to WatsonRules's topic in The Geek Club
I am not just including the movie when I say they made money off of him. I read that the wife is an author and motivational speaker. Was this the case before their heartwarming story? I honestly don't know but my gut says no. They also run organizations that have benefitted greatly from their relationship to Oher. Again I am not defending Oher. I'm not saying he deserves anything. I guess what Im really saying is, it's possible for both parties to look bad in this situation. -

who said anything about race , has nothing to do with any remarks i've made, which I prefaced by saying I don't support one side or the other. -

"Blind Side" subject Michael Oher says family scammed him

yeah like i said im not going to pretend to know all the details of the backstory. I thought he came into their lives around 16. but without knowing everything, my feelings on football in the south (how seriously they take it) and the fact he was not just promising for his age but very clearly had the potential for much bigger things... I don't believe for a second that the family was not motivated by some greed. I would definitely agree they were prepping him for Ole Miss but I would also believe they envisioned a story / book / movie very early on. No NFL?, no big deal. NFL? big time score. -

you can see the countdown and you can click to view the draft order. As Lager said, the draft page won't open until about an hour before it starts. Which is why some people wanted to know draft spots further in advance. -

Im not saying it was not helpful to him, but it would be fundamentally and legally different than actually being an adopted son, no? I don't have a horse in the race. Seems like Oher pissed away a lot of his money and it also seems like the family made a decent amount of money off of him. Regardless of their own net worth. Having money in the first place doesn't stop greed. -

eh, admittedly I don't care much about the story... meaning the story of Michael Oher before all this. ... but these football states/football people can probably tell when a kid (as big and athletic as he was) has the potential to make it big. I wouldn't rule out seeing dollar signs in the slightest. You said it's col to hobnob with star athletes. So they possibly thought he could be a star.... $$$. I doubt as a 16 year old, they were motivated by the simple thought of hanging out with a potential professional athlete. Would the wife be an author and motivational speaker if not for all this? was he actually adopted or not? If they never adopted him and simply had him sign paper making them conservators, It seems pretty suspect -
I am hoping it goes to Keegan. He played with fire when he paired with Phil. I think team USA needs someone with his enthusiasm. Just don't pair him with Brooks

Making fun of you for almost always being "that guy" with politics =/= crying. hth. never even told you to change it you seem like a good enough dude, relax -
it was fact checked and debunked because Pfizer's CEO and their head of research and dev said so? I don't believe they sat on information so Biden would get credit. It was definitely more so that Trump couldn't use it as a positive point before the election was over. Obviously a case can be made that Trump deserves the credit regardless. It still happened under his presidency. Biden won an election, he wasn't sworn in.

I figured you could take some ribbing. I don't really care what your logo is (as long as FF doesn't become typical political nonsense) -

The Above is from the 2022 Season Discussion Thread. This seems to be the initial proposal. There were a handful of responses agreeing to it (Bier, Horse). Then Lager made the ESPN league with these lineup requirements in the following thread So there was never a specific vote on this proposal as there was with entry fee, draft date, divisions, kicker decimal scoring for some reason, etc. At this point, less than 4 days from the draft... i'd say just leave it as it is. -

Please understand that I am in no way arguing with you. It's a low stakes league for fun and I simply enjoy debating my hobbies, I guess like some of these clowns love to debate politics But it's really not that serious... if you need to keep your strategies buttoned up, stop responding You have/had lots of disposable time to propose many rule changes, and respond a lot in these threads but not to find the vote. . I'm just messing with you.
