It has never been easier to get ahead

we don't have to agree and we may be discussing different aspects of the topic but it's very clearly the same topic. -

not stuck on anything. That's fine. If you want to just simply talk about how there are more opportunities in general right now... okay. That is pretty much a given as time goes by and society advances (technology specifically). I won't disagree with that. I guess I just fall on the side of more opportunities existed in the past than people immediately think about. -

then you're getting into technological advancements, which of course are going to open new avenues (old avenues close though... the dot com bubble burst... the gold rush already happened... i'm just pulling these out of the air). People getting rich off new tech advancements are usually just taking over from the people who already got rich with the old tech it's replacing. I don't disagree that it's become a bit easier for literal morons to stumble into wealth, i'm just saying there were plenty of opportunities to get ahead 30+ years ago. Your original statement was that there were very few opportunities to do so which leads me to believe you are living in a very narrow tunnel of social media, crypto, lottery stonks, etc. How many videos have you watched about starting your own dropship business? -

nothing you're saying is wrong, it just has nothing to do with what i'm saying. You can't do anything about life expectancy being lower in the 1920's or that the general mindset, especially with a male dominated workforce without 2 income families, was to work longer.... It doesn't change the fact that plenty of opportunities existed for people of that time period to "get ahead" compared to other people of that time. That's all I'm trying to point out. -

nah. I mean, sure, if the barometer is retirement planning.... but immense opportunities to greatly increase your wealth have always existed. The "roaring twenties" had no shortage of people capitalizing. And yes, it's always relative to the times. -

1. I’m sure you were watching TikTok 2. a few years ago I feel like you were often here bemoaning life. 3. it was not at all unheard of to have opportunities to 100x your money 30 years ago. -

okay well a little research tells me Caesars owns the WSOP brand. So that's good to know. Bovada is no available in my state. Pokerstars appears to be

I'm not sure I have played online since.... 2008-9ish? Pretty sure I was using Pokerstars at the time and also pretty sure funding my account and making withdrawals was always routed through some 3rd party. My checks would never come from Pokerstars. But there must be some decent online platforms. Plenty of people are still "poker pros" even though it hasn't been trendy in a long time. Feel like at one point those pros had a preferred site and I always assumed there were plenty of games for average people on there as well. that was probably WSOP.com

1a.) You don't fall every 15 seconds while wearing them -
this is probably the right thread to ask instead of creating a new topic as i feel like at least one of you degenerates plays online poker.... 1. is it still a thing? 2. what is the go to platform these days? Bovada? WSOP.com? Pokerstars still a thing? was possibly interested in playing a bit again. (it's been a LONG time)

and ill gladly take last place in the edex meh, it was a longshot bet for a reason. even so I was a little surprised at the odds with the field being so small and there barely being a cut. -
oof. and I genuinely believe dain would have been in. too bad it hadn't been bumped since Jan 6th
