I meant kid in the fact you are one of the younger posters here, especially when you first joined. I even vaguely remember your temper tantrums doing Star Wars drafts with Voltaire and joining his dynasty league (unless I’m confusing you with someone else) FBN literally just stated fiat will be gone. So like I said , it’s been mentioned in this thread before and not just by him. But by all means retract from “no one, ever” to “at least not me”. And yes, was fairly sure you were one of those who claims to always make the right move. We all know guys like that

Cool. I was genuinely interested in what your end game was. Would be cool if major world governments actually let that happen but I still say they never will unless they control it… which contradicts the decentralized aspect. also thank you for very quickly proving my point for 90sbaby

the only semi decision I made was Day over Cam Young. We'll see how that turns out but more likely I will regret not taking both and leaving Eric Cole. but I was always taking him. got a little enamored with him being in some form from playing in the fall.

umm, there was plenty of discussion in this thread regarding crypto disrupting fiat and replacing it. you know that. Using crypto to send large sums of what will ultimately turn into fiat doesn't point to crypto replacing fiat as much as it may point to crypto replacing wires/ACH/etc. I've posted in this thread before when I have bought and sold ETH and that ETH is the only crypto I have bought, held, sold (well that and a little play money on Doge back in 2021 when elon was running it up before his SNL appearance ). I have also said a few times that I definitely regret not investing in BTC when it was 4-500 and making a boat load on that very first fomo runup. Even when it retracted back to the 5-6k range would have been another time I regret not picking some up before its run into the 60k+ range. I'm sure you're one one of those kids who never has made a bad trade or missed an opportunity. You've always struck me as the type who would never admit it.

i just looked at the leaderboard and started thinking why the hell have most of my golfers not even teed off yet.... then remembered we only drafted 4

people make money on investments in many different ways, including having a long position while also trading. it's been a fairly long time since any of the regular posters in here have talked much about crypto in terms of buying as much of it as possible for when it replaces fiat currencies... which used to be one of the main talking points (possibly before you even got interested in it). When people pop around because the value went up, it's always talked about in terms of USD. In this quoted post, you literally mention dollars. Are you really planning on holding whatever BTC you have indefinitely for some some great shift in the world economy or are you holding for a target USD amount? I would bet the latter. Which is great...

the guy really is special needs. he has the same routine of calling people fat / old / losers / pointing out how long they have been bored members and apparently thinks no one realizes he spends his entire life posting drivel here -

Can you break your own 9,600 posts this year ? -
Hey I apologized, it was an honest mistake. I saw scores on pgatour.com and wasn’t home. Assumed it was on TV already
-
Too bad I can’t post scores early in the day and ruin Ed’s weekend

I nominate @bostonlager for obvious reasons -
The NBA is such a joke. Traveling is outrageous.

I love how easy it was to put you on tilt just by pointing out the incredibly sad amount of posts you had last year instead of getting bent out of shape and following me around now, why not take up a new hobby and improve your life? -

Nah you missed his point and are being too literal. He wasn’t saying it’s actually called “every other play”. He was saying that if traveling was called all the time, people would complain it was disrupting the flow of the game, similar to how NFL fans sometimes complain when the game they are watching has a lot of laundry thrown for ticky-tack holds. -

I’m just saying I think 3 steps or 2 plus the one you were taking AS you gathered the ball is common these days and has been for a while because of the speed of the game. Games were slower in the 80s, 90s. It was more obvious when Patrick Ewing would take 5 steps backing someone down. -
thats what i have on the sheet

i dont disagree about the palming, but the fact you slowed it down to determine 3 steps was kind of my point. this is on the low end of traveling issues in the NBA and I feel like traveling happens a TON in the league where its not obvious and egregious, given the speed of the game, all the euro step moves, etc. there are so many plays that wind up being 2.5-3 steps if you really break it down in slow motion. -

echoing cyclone, I was also looking at it as something that can be called all game. Perhaps a better comparison is false start on the offensive line, as you mentioned. -

Has anyone seconded Seafoam99 yet? the guy managed to post over 9,600 times in 2023 (not including his other handles) and I assume 99% of those 26 posts every day were quality or hilarious content. runaway GOTY, no? -
Biden's anthem?

I like this take. Holding happens on so many plays in the NFL, not just at the line of scrimmage but by DB's as well.... People complain enough as it is when they actually get called -

I would call this 3 steps but it's kind of hard to tell with the way Giannis runs and how long his strides are. He collects the ball after his last dribble with his foot just outside the 3 point line (7 second mark). Count the steps from there. Looks like it could even be 2 strides. I wouldn't even have this crack the video you posted in the OP. some of the travels in that first video are insane. Especially that Klay Thompson one where he sets once to pump fake and then just shuffles to his left for the wide open shot. But for some reason most of the traveling doesn't bother me nearly as much as the flopping or flailing to get foul calls. NBA ref has to be a pretty tough gig with the up and down speed of the game, trying to keep an eye on fouls, steps, pivot foot, screens, etc. -

how did no one draw attention to this legendary post? -
his history of quotes on the topic is hilarious. and now he claims he was the instrumental one in getting the two sides closer together I can't stand him

that would be the understatement of the year. There is no way, entering just their 2nd full season, that they are anywhere close to making a positive return given the $$ they have shelled out to acquire enough talent to even make another golf league feasible. Which is totally understandable. You wuldn't expect a venture like this, even without big saudi money, to turn a profit yet given what they need to do to get up and running.
