***The Official Official Chain Restaurant Draft***
WhiteWonder replied to BunnysBastatrds's topic in The Geek Club
Not sure I see that correlation. I would say it's more like drafting a combination of FF prime Marshall Faulk and Tom Brady. GOAT. Top producer, most recognizable, trend setting, standing the test of time, etc etc. -
Too much to list. Explain to me how Obummer was able to allow the NWS of fannie mae and freddie mac RIGHT before the companies turned record profits (no insider info, right?). They have been in government "conservatorship" for well over a decade now. 100% of their profits were being swept to the US TREASURY and not allowed to count toward any bailout repayment. Other companies who received bailouts during the financial crisis such as AIG, Ford, etc were allowed to repay that money and go about business as usual. Trump and Calabria took a few steps in the right direction to getting them released but didn't do nearly enough before their time was up. ... Shareholders have had many lawsuits and the Supreme Court always sides with the criminals. Not surprisingly. During court cases, executive priv was used to keep documents sealed. documents that likely showed knowledge of impending profits from the companies and conversations about profit taking. This has always stuck with me since I started learning about it. The fact that multiple branches of our government can be so blatantly crooked and it barely gets any media attention Yes, I do have investment interest in the matter, but it's small with little downside. I can't even fathom being an older investor with lots of IRA money invested in those companies prior to all of this happening. Government sponsored entities that they thought were safe investments in our country.

***The Official Official Chain Restaurant Draft***

so this is more fast food or chain? like cheescake factory would be considered a chain right? regardless I think the fact McDonalds was not 1.1 is absurd. Not saying it's my favorite but its the top choice in a draft by far. -

he's an idiot. Mook is most widely known as an italian slang term for ... an idiot.

One of the few decent posts you've ever made. I agree and highly doubt many dem/libs voted 3rd party. Even if they were not huge on Biden, their #1 goal was getting Trump out of office. That doesn't happen by voting 3rd party.
-
I highly doubt this. I voted for Trump but a majority of my close family members are democrats and absolutely voted for Biden. I know co workers who voted for him, neighbors... stop being dramatic

NO CUT?!?! its not real golf if there isn't a cut!

Round Twelve - Sixteen Commentary - July Mock 2023
WhiteWonder replied to Mike FF Today's topic in The Mocking Station
I would take my top 2 and probably my whole unit (slightly) over yours but I am getting higher and higher on Jeudy. So I might prefer your top 3 if not for the fact that I seem to be lower than most on Calvin Ridley. I'm just not sure I see a guy who hasn't played since early 2021 coming in and lighting it up. Hot take but I don't think he outproduces Kirk. I do expect the Jags offense to continue ascending and both guys can put up numbers but there is also Etienne and Engram and I think Lawrence trusts both. I just don't see the reason for Ridley to be going 10ish WR's ahead of Kirk in drafts right now. this was actually more to talk about Ridley than it was your WR group -
Round Twelve - Sixteen Commentary - July Mock 2023

Post Draft Self Analysis Since we don't have Kirk doing an analysis I like my team, overall. At the same time I am not in love with it. Starting WR/WR gave me a very nice duo but top to bottom, I don't feel like my WR group is special. Likely because I quickly pivoted to a RB/RB combo in rounds 3 and 4. Pleased with Gibbs and Etienne but considering we still need to see Gibbs actually do his thing, James Cook feels like a less than ideal RB3 with McKinnon and Edwards being more best ball specialists, imo. I was able to get my preferred QB, but TE value didn't fall to me like it did in June. I'm not very high on Friermuth at all. I may actually be higher on Juwan Johnson with Derek Carr in town. End of the day, I think I put together a very balanced team... opposite of my June Mock experiment... but may be lacking in studs outside of Diggs and Wilson. A lot will depend on how Detroit utilizes the weapon they have in Gibbs and if Etienne and Lawrence continue to take the next step, which I obviously believe they will. If I were setting a lineup for week 1 it would look like QB - Lawrence RB - Gibbs RB - Etienne WR - Diggs WR - Wilson WR - Thomas FLX - Aiyuk (Cook) TE - Johnson (Friermuth) DST - Jets Cook could flex into Aiyuks spot (I think a healthy Thomas will be better) and Friermuth could easily be the TE. good job everyone and good luck this year! -

Rays added Aaron Civale, but gave up one of, if not our top prospect to Cleveland. From a fantasy perspective, I get another exclusive SP option. Should be serviceable next year too as I assume Springs recovery will linger into next season. From a real life perspective, it makes sense to add another SP when you've seen Springs and Ramussen go down with injuries, had a scare with Eflin, McClanahan has had some minor issues and Glasnow hasn't been back very long..... and Taj had shown flashes but is sitting at a 5.7 ERA. He has the talent but you don't want to HAVE to rely on him for the playoffs if you don't need to. I will assume this club knows what it's doing trading away a top prospect... though they traded away Joe Ryan a few years ago to bring in Nelson Cruz as a rental . I was sort of hoping they might be in on a David Robertson reunion. Probably would have come cheap and would have solidified the back end of the bullpen behind Fairbanks.

Considered taking baltimores dst last pick but, it’s a dst. I’ll be fine with whatever I take on my last “turn picks”. Gus Edwards felt like the best candidate for production with dobbins situation -
