    Legal question for geeks *UPDATE*

    1. bring back the digby handle 2. I would still find and call the anonymous line. I feel like there has to be one. Much easier to have the MD investigated and possibly terminated than to have this employee hire an attorney. Unless of course he is looking for a reason to sue someone.

sure, when each leg is -110 or longer odds. the parlay I built had a bunch of short odds props. Kamara over 3.5 receptions for example was -180. Other books likely had it set at 4.5 for longer odds. I also believe the 4.5 reception totals for Kirk and Olave were in the -140 to -150 range. I just built a similar 5 legger with similar short odds props and it was +720 versus a 5 legger with all -110 and -105 being +2600 FD isn't focking me, I'm technically focking myself by choosing short odds props. They sre giving correct payouts for the odds that are getting parlayed together. I don't have time to shop around multiple sports books to find the best prop odds. I highly doubt other books were offering Kamara Over 3.5 at -110 or something. More likely they had the total at 4.5

I'll take a look at player props today, since I have time and see what I like for Sunday. I usually don't look until saturday evening or sunday morning but might not have time this week

    Legal question for geeks *UPDATE*

no no. Im saying there should be a number, wherever your job posts the rest of that stuff (osha, labor laws, etc) usually in a break room. YOU should be the one calling that number. It is completely anonymous. I don't think it is directly to your HR. You tell them the issue and they will handle investigating it. It may end up being your company HR that investigates but I think it may be another state type department that does it. you don't want to advise this guy on anything. no one should contact your own company HR (sadly they often have a horse in the race themselves) Basically, YOU are the one seeing something you don't think is right. YOU should contact that anonymous line and explain the situation and let it be taken over from there.

    Legal question for geeks *UPDATE*

See again, to me, if you are allowing an employee to clock out to leave and do something, it shouldn't matter what they are doing. Once they clock out they are no longer on company paid time and I feel like no one at the company would have any right to investigate what they were actually doing. I suppose if this employee is just deciding on his own to clock out and leave work, that is a separate issue and likely cause to investigate or terminate. At my old company I remember an employee who would leave to go on "business meetings" and somehow they found out she was just going to get her hair and nails done or going home. Totally different as she was salaried and doing these things on company time. Same company used to request doctors notes when sick but I believe enough people raised the issue that all time off was PTO. There was no distinction between sick days, personal, vacation, bereavement, etc. So essentially, even if you're sick, you are taking paid time off, the end and you don't even need to tell them you are sick. I mean I used to tell my boss I was taking a PTO because I was feeling like shit but we had a good relationship. I didn't need to say anything. I could have been golfing (and often was). If something being done seems illegal to you, there should be a number you can call to anonymously report the issue, which either your HR department or an outside company will investigate. Check your break room for a bulletin board with this info posted amongst the osha, workplace discrimination, etc stuff.

    Legal question for geeks *UPDATE*

Well I guess I’m saying yes, looking into the CAD system and needing a towing receipt is ridiculous. This isn’t high school needing a doctors note and evidence. What he does on his own time is his business. Different story if he was salaried and leaving work to do random things. but the MD doesn’t even need to go to these lengths. If they feel he is leaving work too often or taking breaks that are longer than allowed, regardless if the guy is clocking out or not, that can be enough cause to let them go if the frequent breaks and “time off” are detrimental to the job.

    Legal question for geeks *UPDATE*

Whatever he was doing wasn’t being done on company paid time. What’s the issue? If he is clocking out too often to do stuff, then it doesn’t really matter if you believe his stories or not, you can have a conversation simply about clocking out and leaving too often and that alone can be detrimental to his work and proper cause to move on.

+675ish. You have to be +400 or longer to qualify for the FanDuel no sweat and the Kamara receptions prop was -180. Usually I can build a qualifying parlay with 3-4 props but this took 5

bye week for the Jets who sit at 3-3 and easily could have been 4-2 without that horrid officiating at the end of the Chiefs game. Unsung hero has been Max Mitchell, our 4th round pick last year, filling in at RT and playing pretty well. Time for DJ Reed and Sauce to get healthy. Excited to see what our pass rush can do against that swiss cheese Giants 0-line in week 8. Jermaine Johnson has really blossomed.

    2023-24 NHL Season...

i mentioned in some other hockey related thread that I was trying to follow it a little more this year. Devils are my "team" though I have not followed hockey seriously since grade school, aside from one year in college where I was in a fantasy hockey league i just can't get into it, other than going to a game. I didn't even realize there was a lockout in 2012-13, as I always joke "did hockey ever come back after 2004?"
