none of those listed players should be on waivers to begin with. You can drop Reed and I would probably prioritize Judkins then Hollywood.

It's honestly a very fair offer. McConkey might be a bit frustrating this year with Keenan Allen back in the fold. Yes, he is the better WR but you can't expect to add TE depth and not lose something in return. Smith is a solid WR, you just have to decide is you want Pitts or not. If you don't want Pitts don't do the trade. If you do want Pitts, it is more than fair. Personally I would explore another way to improve at TE. you are really expecting to be able to offer one of your worst WR to someone for Tyler Warren? this is why trading is so difficult in FF. so many people expect to get what they want for next to nothing.

is he always an afterthought? the holdout and rust is a legit concern but I would say you stick with him. there are plenty of highly regarded players who had disappointing week 1s.

correct. I am seeing prices down all over my area. I am making no claims about overall prices for everyone in all parts of the country... that's what you wanted it to be, you swung, you missed.
-
so the short answer is that you, in fact, cannot read. or choose not to. Either way... since everything you just quoted and bolded is me talking about me personally. Perhaps you confused "all over" with "overall"? It's okay if you did, and i'm sure you put a bunch of effort into looking for any post of mine making a 'prices down overall' claim. good try, good effort. keep being you

you need some sort of hobby dude. you're so triggered you can't seem to fully read or comprehend anything. If you can find where I claimed prices were down across the board for everyone, I am all ears (or eyes in this case). There was a thread a while back where people were chatting about gas, eggs and beef and it seemed like a lot of people were seeing lower prices in those areas.... but all I talked about with MDC was prices I am seeing around me. You can even find me saying "if I start to see them going back up again" in regards to groceries. I brought up insurance and cell bills because both have gone down for me. I then mentioned that its possible the insurance premium reduction was something falling off my record (but this may or may not be the case. I can't think of anything that would be on my record to fall off, however I am trying to be fair and HONEST in my assessment of prices i am seeing for myself) Why would bringing up insurance and cell bills be dishonest of me? Do you have some sort of proof that cell bills only go down when something changes on my end? Because nothing has in years.... Interesting how you make no mention of me saying natural gas and electricity are up for me... If you can show me where I made any claim of OVERALL, I will gladly call myself a clown. Or do you think its possible for me to back up a statement I didn't make? Though I have a feeling this will go much like our last interaction where you quadrupled down because you can't read.

oh man, guttertard is @'ing me because he can never properly read. absolute neck and neck race between him and seafoam for dumbest person at this forum. guy glosses over me saying food prices are mostly down in my area and is using my words to sarcastically say data must be fake . poor guy also seems to have missed where I stated car insurance going down could have been something falling off my record. Why read when you can just make stuff up to suit the post you want to type?

what a stereotype -
but also the notion that the #1 overall pick, ahead of Jayden Daniels might be "just fine" if he can clean up areas where he "looked clueless" ....
-
He obviously had some good throws and extended some plays with his legs (so did Fields when he was in Chicago). He will likely improve as the season goes along, but idk about praising him for a great throw to Odunze on the sideline and stuff like that. He's a #1 overall pick. He should be able to make some fantastic throws. I think it's way more important that the floor of his game gets raised as opposed to seeing very occasional flashes of the ceiling.

i asked this in a week 1 thread but what does peafoam think about his QB using nail polish? that's gotta hurt and yeah, anyone saying he looked pretty good last night doesn't watch much football.
-
Do we think it’s tough for peafoam to support a QB wearing nail polish?

The place I used to rent is raising 3% this year compared to a few 8% increases in years past (I never paid 8% because I had a working relationship with the property manager but would have otherwise.) The increase in my gas and electricity bills is nothing compared to my overall lower grocery bills (sure some things are up slightly but many products are down at the stores I visit), my auto insurance (but there could be other factors at play there like something falling off my record), cell bill, etc and especially gasoline. thought you were a teacher

but who will axe us if we feel better off today than we did one year ago?

that was your least TDS laden post. Feeling he isn't serious on certain matters or feeling like it's a big stunt are not really TDS level jabs. That is more when people feel the need to insert the word orange, or call him a realty tv personality, etc. That stuff gets silly because he's a guy who used to have a reality show who is now a 2x POTUS, meanwhile someone like Kamala has never done anything and is about to have a book tour. So... I was just trying to keep the convo about the topic, which is also about trump obviously, so I never said I didn't want to talk about him... that wouldn't make much sense.
-
I didn't say I don't want to talk about Trump. The topic is indeed about Trump. I was saying there was no need to the bring the TDS level jabs that don't have anything to do with the topic.. (reality TV narcissist for example). I mentioned biden/kamala because they kept the tariffs from Trumps first term. I think that is very relevant to the topic... but I didn't say something like "Biden, while trying to figure out where he was on a day to day basis, decided to keep Trumps tariffs"....

eh, I don't know about that as far as the Giants and Daboll. It's not like his contract is fully guaranteed. He makes 5-6 million annually. I can't imagine long time owners of a franchise that has seen success would make that kind of decision based on such a low amount (low in the grand scheme of football)
-
McDaniel topping the list makes sense. I think Daboll would be a bad bet at those odds. The Giants regime should have been fired after last season. If I were a Giants fan, I would be disgusted with the organization probably more so than any time in recent history. But Mara seemed to state that he was tired of turning things over every few years and now they just drafted their franchise QB. I think it's fair to expect the team to be better this year but I also feel like the length of the leash was somewhat reset. If they fire Daboll now, you might as well rebrand yourself as Woody and the Jets.

I only bring up Pelosi because she is a great liberal hero. Nothing major was ever done in the 90s but she was speaking on it. So while I don't really like Donald Trump, I can at least say he's taking action that others have only spoken about. Same can sort of be said for deportation and curbing new illegal immigration. I am not even saying he's going about it 100% the correct way, just that he is taking action. I think it also speaks volumes that one of the things from his first term that Biden/Harris did not axe (and actually added some new ones I believe) was his initial tariffs
-
again, my post was not really about Trump or pro Trump, so you don't need to fill your response with jabs at Trump. You can keep it to basic discussion. I was simply saying what I have seen in my area all year... and again, pointing to the fact that if we are blaming tariffs for any rise in prices, at least the issue is something that economists will argue short term/long term benefits and detriments. To me that feels better than simply having high costs and being like "well, Russia!" I would rather it be because of our own actions that could at least potentially have long term benefits. It doesn't matter to me if Trump made that argument because most rational people with a basic understanding of economics (like a guy with a minor in finance) should know the possible positive outcomes that are on the table. I mean, I can't imagine Nancy Pelosi stood in front of congress in the 90's beating the drum about trade imbalance with China and our lack of reciprocal tariffs just for fun. I would imagine she was proposing action, though nothing was ever done, with a long term benefit mindset.
-
cool. Im not a Trump guy, and I know you're better at reading than guttertard. As I said, I am seeing lower prices all over. So in a vacuum, he's done what he campaigned on, at least for me and my area. There was a thread not long ago where people were discussing prices of gas/beef/eggs where they lived and it seemed like the minority of people were seeing prices still be high. I've got cheaper gas, eggs, overall grocery bills, internet and cell phone bills... my auto insurance 6 month premiums also fell this year. The place where I had been renting was nailing me with 8% increases in 2022 and 2023. My old neighbor told me this year his increase was 3%. Pretty much the only thing that is higher for me is natural gas and electric bills but those started getting higher back in 2024 Regardless, my point was that no matter if you agree with tariffs or not, if prices are not lower where you live, or if someone like myself starts to see them rising again, at least we can point to why and have some hope that it's for a greater good plan where we will see the benefits down the road. again, I am not saying you have to agree that there will be any long term benefit from tariffs... I am only saying that we have something tangible to point to where potential long term benefits have been discussed. Contrast that to 2023, 2024. What was the rationale behind the higher prices then? I feel like I often just heard "well, Putin invaded Ukraine!"
