Barkley wouldn't have been this Barkley if he had been on the Giants with that offensive line. Jalen Hurts rushing ability was also a big help. That said, it's all very embarrassing for Giants fans, especially with the clip of Mara saying he'd be sick and Schoen kind of laughing at it. I have absolutely no idea how or why the Giants didn't clean house.

if you're legitimately not him, and not even trying to be a troll version of him, then you show alarming symptoms Honestly with the name "BeenHereBefore" I assumed you were at least someone's alias originally made to pretend to be GF.

If one of the GMs wants to start bone rolling, by all means. if not, I’ll make the thread this Monday
-
Hah! I had actually scrolled all the way to the bottom of page 1, thinking we must have had a decent amount of draft thread posts, so I was looking at the 2023 bone rolling which was March 4th that year
-
Last year we rolled bones first week of March. That still a good time line ?

Trump and Russia- the optimism is fading
WhiteWonder replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
Biden took a harder stance which was also the dumber stance. First of all, Putin definitely invaded under Biden because he expected a weak response, that much we can agree on... And that is exactly what he got. Perhaps he expected an even weaker one with zero pushback? .. still, the Biden plan of no communication with Russia and constant aid to a country that has no chance to win, is not a very strong response. Russia is not losing that war unless the US fully steps in and says "okay Ukraine, we will go to war with Russia for you". If you think it's up to Ukraine to decide what is best for them, not us, then why do you support all the $$ we sent them under Biden? Now you're saying "what's in it for us anyway?" when a post or two ago you were banging the diplomacy, helping all allies big and small drum. The best outcome, even if concessions have to be made, is for the war to be over. Prolonging it by aiding Ukraine just enough to keep it going only increases the loss of life. Concessions in war happen all the time. -
Trump and Russia- the optimism is fading
WhiteWonder replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
First sentence makes no sense The US should support all allies, I agree. However in THIS case, the best thing we can do to support Ukraine is to figure out a way to END the war. You're right, it is diplomacy. Dipomacy often calls for negotiation. Something the Biden was unwilling to do and instead felt it was more appropriate to waste our money funding Ukraine in a war it can never win without the US completely stepping in from a military perspective. Beating Russia in Ukraine would be a great upside. It's not going to happen and the downside that Ukrainians continue to get demolished is more realistic... unless, again, the US get much more heavily militarily involved. Biden wasn't willing to do that either. If they refuse, then fight on? So I guess you also support funding a war Ukraine can't win for as long as possible . How do you think you get Russia and Ukraine to agree on a ceasefire when your president wasn't willing to speak to Putin? -
Trump and Russia- the optimism is fading
WhiteWonder replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
Putin invaded Ukraine once Biden took office. Never in the 4 years of Trumps first presidency.. Why? The war needs to end. Part of that needs to be putting aside the words enemy and allies. Lets be honest, how strong of an ally is Ukraine? How strong of an ally will they be if we continue to fund them in a war they can't win? What was the upside of the Biden plan of prolonging a war Ukraine won't win? Why is the TDS crowd so against the idea of simply doing what needs to be done to end the war? At this point the only win for Ukraine will be when the war ends. ... like honestly who cares if Putin gets his ego stroked? Who cares if we have to do a little appeasing of the enemy if the result is ending the war and saving lives? Liberals had no problem appeasing the enemy when we traded the merchant of death for Brittney Griner -
Circuit court puts final nail in the coffin for Biden's $500M student loan forgiveness plan
WhiteWonder replied to seafoam1's topic in The Geek Club
I wouldn't trust an 18 year old with 100k in hand. I might have ended up using the $$ to make my first semester tuition payment, then invested the rest in the market The most logical thing to do, and safest for the student and family, is to send that loan directly to the school to cover tuition and related expenses first. If you're living on campus with a meal plan, that's all part of it. Possibly books as well? Although I recall still having to buy my books and normally If I had a close friend or someone I lived with in the same class or taking the same class, we just split one or if their parents bought all their books they usually didn't care and let me just borrow it when needed. I didn't even do work study programs or have a job while I was at school. I worked on my summer breaks and I was pretty good managing my money so I was able to pay off my student loans pretty quickly after graduating. -
For me, in no particular order Fumbleweed, Bill E, Skids, MTSki (does he count if he doesn't post anymore?), Edjr even though we have a semi love hate relationship, BiffLager, AliasDetective even though I believe he can't stand me, I guess I could name the rest of the edex guys... Pat, Dain, even rain delay Cloaca. My IBL crew doesn't really post here but the long time members like Dan, Me200x, Cuse, StewburtX. Geek Homers guys like Lambert, CMH,... RHR has been a welcomed non vaginitis addition, ZT I guess it's a lot of guys I participate in Fantasy Sports related stuff with and many of them steer clear of the geek club. I also have always gotten along with OldMaid and was super disappointed by her vanishing act.

TGL starts tonight. Is that Tiger's Golf League? Tonight 9 pm on ESPN
WhiteWonder replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
Even though I have been labeled "Mr LIV" around here, I have now watched almost as much TGL as LIV over LIVs lifespan. I don't think this is surprising. Still not sure of its shelf life but the fact that it is prime time, indoors, in the winter makes it an easy watch. If you exclude some final rounds of PGA Tour events, i've probably now watched more LIV than PGA this season. I didn't watch a single shot of the WMPO, I checked out basically after round 1 of the Genesis, etc. It's still going to irk me that most people who trashed LIV for its format, with teams being part of that, are now super on board with teams when its produced by Tiger, the PGA, ESPN etc. BUT that does not sway my opinion that there is a market for team/club golf in the sport. It's a global game and club soccer's popularity could translate to club golf. -

It was genuinely funny watching Tiger hit 56 degree wedge from "99" not realizing it was 199. You see the screen in front of you, there is not way he could have been 99 yards away so I absolutely get them telling him 99 under the assumption he knew the yardage was closer to 200 than 100. the banter that went on after that, the way Tom Kim and Kisner were laughing and the way Tiger ultimately owned up to his fock up and called it one of the most embarrassing moments in his golfing life was pretty funny. -

Im sure theres some crap in various contracts, maybe with ESPN that say he has to play in a certain number of events unless injured. they need people watching and he's still going to be the biggest draw. he's played in all 3 matches for Jupiter. Homa hasn't played the past 2. -

Im pretty sure the federal student loans go directly to the schools and the only way you're going to see any of it for use on living expenses is if there is excess after. -

I definitely got a credit card when I was 18 with something close to that 5k limit. It was excellent because I quickly built up my credit score. I had student loans but I’m almost positive my parents had some involvement in that. It’s not like I went somewhere by myself and some sleazy fock gave me a loan -

He’s talking out his ass but technically you can make the argument that loan = less of your own money spent immediately on tuition = more disposable income for lattes -

Which is why they should tackle the problem where it begins. The universities. not take the easy way out and offer loan forgiveness for votes. -

I’m trying to like it I really am… if they were playing a Tuesday money match, they would have thrown the hammer there on hole 4 and put Tigers team down 5-0 through 4 holes. But they don’t want Tigers team getting demolished to the point the holes don’t matter anymore. -
nose ring - no thanks on the hoop style, small stud is okay but kind of depends on her overall look tats - just depends where and what. Small ones on the wrist or ankle areas can be attractive. no thanks to legs and arms or lower back. one spot that I like but I think most people would say is trashy is on the side of the body/ribcage.

What would be going on now if Harris won the 2024 presidential election?
WhiteWonder replied to jbycho's topic in The Geek Club
What would be going on right now? on this forum, you’d have the same tards starting thread after thread but instead of goating the liberals, they would be crying about Harris. The same people crying about Trump would be reaching to find actual Harris accomplishments Real world… things would be as sleepy as Biden/Harris in terms of policy but you’d likely have some initial celebrity style buzz for cacklin Kamala -

I’m now 1-1 betting on this after Bay beat Boston. (I had wagered on Tigers teams first match because of their + odds and they got embarrassed). Would have been 2-1 if I realized today was a triple header. I would have bet Bay over Atlanta. I’ll make small wagers on lots of things to make them entertaining but as someone else said, I think earlier in this thread, absolutely wouldn’t surprise me if there was some fixing of the full shots since you have no idea once the ball hits the screen. Could just be the skeptic in me haha -
Dallas Mavericks Trade Doncic for Lakers Anthony Davis

No NBA all star threads. Such a joke it doesn’t even get negative chatter here. A guy winning 3 straight dunk contests who isn’t even in the NBA. Non all stars competing in the 4 team tournament. New format not exciting. Got Draymond as an analyst saying the new format sucks . Too much theatrics before the matches. Trotting out Mr Beast, Kevin Hart won’t go away… turrible
