the damn promotions and profit boosts make me play it. won't be a big wager but TCU -3.5 +134 seems like a decent play

    Top four QB

This year it has been Fields for me. He was top 10 ppg last year when starting for the Steelers and playing conservatively. The only thing with Fields that is a little different than the QBs I lock in on in previous seasons, is that I think he has a higher chance of flat out busting and being benched. On one hand, he was given a 2 year contract and the team thinks he can follow the same path as a Baker Mayfield, he is reunited with his college WR, and his upside is high. On the other hand, the new regime may want to make their mark and if the Jets are losing a lot of close, low scoring games, how quickly will we see Tyrod Taylor? So this year I am also prioritizing taking my QB2 quickly after. I also find that in most of my leagues, all the owners start off wanting to wait a bit on the position to the point that you don't see the first QB picked until maybe late round 3, then another 2 go in round 4, 2 in round 5 but as the dominoes start to fall, you then see Baker Mayfield in round 6, Nix and Murray in round 7. The range of QB drafting becomes condensed. That's what I mean when I say if someone like Burrow is there at the top of round 5 (after Allen, Jackson, Daniels and Hurts) it can definitely wind up being a prudent pick.

    Top four QB

In regards to Dak being 20th in ppg, they did add Pickens which should help. Although you're talking about a Nix/Dak stack which doesn't really go with the waiting on QB approach. Nix is very often the 7th QB off the board and Dak is someone who goes in that "last of the starters, start of the backups" range. So a strategy that pairs the two of them together might actually be worse than just drafting Jackson/Allen/Burrow. At least, if you're paying for Nix at his usual ADP, you probably should wait on a backup to the point that Dak would be long gone. I'm only taking a backup like Dak if i'm pairing him with a high risk guy like Fields where I am drafting them both fairly late. I'm definitely a QB late guy but I'm not going to lock myself in to a set rule about what round that has to be. You have to adapt to your draft as it's unfolding. For example if you know you want to stack Dak and... Goff, or you just know you're high on Dak this year but your league mates are drafting QBs a little earlier than website ADP, if you see Goff and Herbert go in round 8 or you see two owners grab QB2s already, you may not be able to wait until round 10 or later to get your preferred late round QB. .... and if that winds up being the case, then an argument can be made that it would have been more prudent to draft Burrow in round 5 than Dak in round 9, for example. It all winds up being relative to the difference in what those QBs score compared to the difference in equivalent RB/WR you would have drafted in those same rounds. So for me personally, it's always been more about identifying specific later QBs, sort of saying that is my guy, and making sure I get them in the flow of the draft, even if that means adjusting a few rounds earlier than I hoped. In 2024 it was Jayden Daniels for me (round 8ish), in 2023 it was Jared Goff (usually round 11) but in 2022 it was Hurts and I definitely drafted him as high as round 6.

Draft Strategy for 14 Team League

Not much to do differently although if you have a certain QB you like, even a later guy like Dak/Herbert etc, consider drafting them a bit earlier as you are more likely to see guys drafting backup QBs earlier than you’d expect.

    Dynasty draft! 10 team league

Tough to say without knowing keeper rules and which you kept. 6 pt TDs meaning all? Including passing? it’s obviously a great team stacked with WRs which must be due to keepers but I’d rather a stronger QB in 6 pt league.

12th pick in 12 team ppr

Below average I’d say. The draft requirements don’t matter much. For a 12 team league you did great to get Jeanty and AmonRa but I don’t really see a 3rd/4th round set of picks. I’ll assume it was Lamar(Ravens QBs) and Harvey? Your weekly flex plays will be Harvey and… Tet? Tracy? It just feels like a round of the draft is missing. I would have thought a stronger TE given that but Kraft is okay.

    Rate my draft !@#

what do each of your cats teams look like? fine job, fine job. Diggs in the 7th seems high for a 10 teamer, but that first 4 is killer.
  9. WhiteWonder

    Rate my draft !@#

The fact that it looks more like a 12 team roster before I noticed it was a 10 teamer makes me think on the weaker side. For example, Dak and Caleb are QBs that are often stacked in 12 teamers (or Dak/Fields, Dak/Goff, any combo in that range). Ladd is usually a late 2 or early 3. Evans is often a 4th, ridley and KWIII 5th/6th. The best value grab was Achane in the late 2nd. As someone else mentioned, your WR's and TE do not stand out for a 10 team format, and neither do your QBs. Its a really nice group of RBs but not "oh shlt, that's where it stands out!". i'll agree with the C- grade

    Rate my draft

6 top 45 ADP players if it was redraft, Those 6 alone should cost around $150 of a $200 in a 10 team league.... plus Murray, Olave, Worthy and Njoku... even with a different budget the %'s should still be similar so I guess i'd say decent team for a 10 man league but also thinking some other owners are very casual and you got a few players cheaper than normal.

that's what I was afraid of but was hoping their D was the play for -2.5. Still early and close

    Rate My Draft

So you went. Nico/Puka/Hampton/Hall/Harvey/Pickens? Only Turpin on the bench as a WR? I like Njoku and Dak. im guessing you reached for Parsons in the sense that any defensive player would have been a reach. I don’t know the scoring but I would think there are a decent amount of high scoring middle linebackers or tackling safeties. You could have drafted the defensive guy similar to a kicker. other than that, it seems like a very solid team

I added the 2nd paragraph for explanation so you didn’t think I was being (more of) a turd . I happen to like 2RB requirement because it adds to some strategy for when to attack the position, imho… like hero or zero RB strats.. and less easy to ignore the position that’s seen as tougher to navigate. If you have to deal with an injury, you’re less reliant on being a WWire hawk or negotiating a trade as you can simply pop a receiver into flex. To me it makes things less interesting, but I understand it. as for low stakes, I’m generally okay with lower stakes in a league where the owners all “know” each other because half the fun in the bragging rights. I’m always for upping entry but even in one of my real life leagues we’ve only been able to increase a certain amount without losing a few guys and we’d rather keep the same camaraderie
  21. Other than the fact that Cooper Manning was a very good player in how own right, your comparison is spot on I don't think Arch Manning quite lives up to the hype. No way he will be close to Peyton in terms of talent or to Eli in terms of clutch, but I think he will have a solid NFL career.
