Joe Burrow - Requires surgery - Out for a MINIMUM of 3 months
WhiteWonder replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
Agreed. He can probably spark a passing game that has been dreadful though considering those weapons. Can he go 5-4 until Burrow can realistically be back? Again, a move should have been made prior to week 4 -

oh lord. 1st of all, people lie. I am not saying she is lying but I am also saying she would likely never admit to being paid because obviously that is the point the young man is trying to make. She would never give him the satisfaction and we both know that. 2nd, if you are being paid to help organize the protest, you are being paid to protest... People talking about lack of evidence and dismissing the organization website and funding pages but watching the video for clues like directing traffic? i mean come on now... and again, being paid to help organize a protest is semantics. She got paid to blow her kazoo or she got paid to "direct traffic" it's all part of the protest. and finally....... WHAT ABOUT TRUMP? hilarious because this topic is about paid protesters and it's actually not specifically about any type of protester. -
Virtual Reality Golf - Another reason to never leave the house?
WhiteWonder replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
of course. if you hit a fraction more behind the ball than intended, it's just going to skip up off the range turf and give you an acceptable shot / ball flight. On the course that may be a complete chunk or a heavy shot that comes up 10 yards short. I have a friend with a membership to our closest indoor place and when we play there he hits massive slices all day. On the real course he hits a lot more dead pulls. I would guess that the turf is keeping his clubface a little more square or even open and his swing path is definitely a slicer. But on a real course his clubface is totally different at impact into the ground. -

what I want, and i'm sure they exist just not any locally by me, is an indoor facility with real grass like TGL uses for teebox, rough and fairway that they can maintain or swap out. It's too easy to hit great golf shots off synthetic turf or at least have your bad shots be much less pronounced and I think it hurts the feedback you get from the trackman data. -

sadly for the Jets I don't have the energy... they didn't hire the coach or gm that I wanted, or do what I wanted them to do at QB and I think it's going to be a very long 2-3 seasons. however long trash Woody Johnson gives them. I admit I was jealous watching SNF seeing the Pats have a promising QB and an experienced HC. -

glad they finally made a move for a veteran. Should have done it 2 weeks ago. I'm guessing this was the cheapest option and at 2-3 its kind of like "well lets see if Joe can win a few games and keep us in the hunt but if not it's a lost season". at 2-0 they really should have been thinking "we can get through this at .500 until mid december." -

you're asking me a question I have already stated I can't answer and that I don't disagree with you. There is not going to be the hard evidence you're asking for like bank statements from this woman showing deposits from rise and resist It's been like 4 times now that I have mentioned their funding page and donations links and asked what this money would or could be used for and you're just choosing to ignore that part. -

if you watched some of the video, not even until the end, you don't need to be familiar with rise and resist. It explains what they are and what they do. But my question was about the funding site they use with donation links. So what is the purpose for this donation money and what might the funds be used for? Like I said a few posts back, it seems plausible that they could be reimbursing protestors for things which means they are being paid. I'm not saying they are... just saying its possible and most TV news is going to go with it if there is plausibility. -

So what I was trying to say was that if there was actually a large group of protestors being paid by an organization to attend all their protests, I might chuckle, but I would have zero issue with it. .. and my point was that your sarcastic comparison to trans women in womens sports is dumb because that is actually a serious issue and I think it's sad that you're making light of it. TDS? You may be right in the case of extreme magas. Although I think acting like TDS is not a real thing would be sticking your head in the sand. Objectively, I have never seen people be so obsessed with being anti any president, spending money on anti-trump paraphernalia, being glued to their echo chamber msm channels, etc. I have a few friends and family members who simply cannot have a regular discussion about any normal topic without finding a way to interject something about trump. That is the TDS that I see most often. -

okay... I tend to stick to reading my news instead of news shows, but most news shows would air something like this simply on the basis of the woman harassing him at a different protest. They all have their agendas. But lets get back to the initial question. You don't have any take on the funding page for rise and resist.org, why they would need a funding page or what those funds would be used for? -

I get you're being sarcastic but if people can make money to waste their time participating in protests that generally accomplish nothing, good for them. People get paid to pump and bash stocks on financial message boards for focks sake. Good for them. Trans women playing in girls sports is absolutely a real issue and no one should be hiding behind "it's so minor"... especially not the people who consider themselves the champions of all minority groups. -

unfortunately, everyone makes assumptions in life. I would say that, at least in this case, they have done enough DD to surmise that she may be paid. The amount of protests she attends, coupled with the fact that she posts all of them to her social media which looks like an audition portfolio, the company who looks for people to join their protests, and the funding page for the protests with donation links. What is the donation money for? I have never had the need to attend a protest but can't people just show up and protest? What costs are associated with protests? Permits? I thought you could request waivers for permit fees. If the company is reimbursing protesters for travel and signs, etc... then yeah, that would count as being paid. -
Who is Bad Bunny? SB Half Time Show Performer 2026

A lot of people like his music, it's just not going to appeal to your generation or demographic. When is the last time a halftime show did? It's not appealing to me either but you're living in a bubble if you think he's not wildly popular. -

WhiteWonder replied to TheNewGirl's topic in The Geek Club
I would say it's mainly political because of the fact that bad bunny stopped performing in the US (which I am sure is most lucrative for him) in order to protect his illegal fans from deportation. I really don't care one way or the other about BB doing the halftime show but this one issue, to me, is a problem. He has the right to perform wherever he wants but to specifically not perform in the US because you want to protect criminals is an issue. -
