Trump gifted custom Steelers jersey as players join him on Pennsylvania stage

Consideration, getting an interview, having your resume be reviewed… a chance to sell yourself for a job is equal opportunity. part of DEI but DEI quickly became synonymous with filling a quota to look good for board/shareholders/public perception etc. -

Rooney rule was around long before DEI was a buzzword. I'd easily say the Rooney rule falls more under equal opportunity than filling a quota. -
ass, lunchbox... same difference as far as edjr is concerned

Imagine it being all relative and i'm comparing him to the other best people in his craft .... because what else would I be doing? I don't understand your comment on WAR. Yes, more time for a player to contribute can improve their WAR (as the season goes along) but WAR can go up and down, the same way K/9 or any other ratio can. WAR is not a true counting stat/metric. Perhaps the words "mildly disappointing" were a stretch? Idk. I'm just looking at what he's done so far this year vs. what he did last year and what the expectations were. Facts are facts. His K/9 is down, hard hit rate is up and fly ball rate is up. He's not been as dominant. I still said he was great, and it's only the end of May... but that's also enough of a sample size to discuss. Which again, we are discussing major league baseball players. They are all the best at their craft.

Not a single American in the top 18 well there are 2 but their last names are Noh and Yin but the featured group is Korda, Thompson and Charley Hull so maybe I’ll tune in

-4, 5th place out of 8 it’s more the entirety of this season.

Even though much of Angel Reese's rebounds come off her own missed shots, the defense could rebound those. So I don't know how fair it is for people to say it's all just junk stat padding. Yes, I've seen her get blocked by a defender seemingly not even jumping...but again, how are they allowing her to rebound in the first place then? At the very least she must have box out skills and the ability to play good bully ball underneath.... So I think saying she is Tristan Thompson is a bit over the top. In the context of this being the WNBA and the talent level, there has to be a better comparison Draymond minus the 32% career 3 point percentage?

Tommy twinkle toes. This edex season can't end soon enough
-
He's been mildly disappointing this year. Obviously still great, and it's early in the season but his WAR is down by 3.1, his K/9 is down 2.3, hard hit % is up as is fly ball % by about 4% over last season.

As A Adult Man, Did You Ever Carry A Umbrella And Use It ?
WhiteWonder replied to BeenHereBefore's topic in The Geek Club
I fail to see what "this day and age" would have to do with anything? Hey I get it, if you've never had to wear a suit and walk a few blocks from the subway or train or there was no valet parking etc. A lot of people have. I don't get the weird flex of not using an umbrella If you're just headed out to the liquor store in your dad jeans and dirty t-shirt, then yeah, probably wimpy to be worried about an umbrella. -

I have no need or desire to wear 2k suits but I would say any scenario where you are wearing a suit, you're probably trying to look decent for work or an event etc and you'd probably also like to be comfortable, so I am more likely to use an umbrella -

You’ve only used your hands for the last 30ish years so I trust your take -

Sure. Easy answer on the golf course regular use, I will normally not use one if I’m going to my car, car to work etc. I will just make a dash indoors. if I know I’m going to be in a situation like stuck outside in the city wearing nice clothes and it’s pouring, sure I’ll use one -

What Kinda Dad Did You Have Growing Up ?
WhiteWonder replied to BeenHereBefore's topic in The Geek Club
Born in PA, grew up in NJ... spent a lot of time hunting and fishing in PA as a kid. Still enjoys both. Worked hard so my mom didn't have to, but she did anyway once we hit a certain age. Chose to raise us in the same town he and my mother grew up in. Expensive area but he's more of a simple guy. Prefers his Ford Explorer and his Saturday golf league to Range Rover and Country Club, which he could easily afford. It's not his style. Quiet, actions speak louder than words type. Never laid a hand on us as kids, raising his voice was enough. I think he took pride in that. In his younger days he was always in trouble, skipping school, terrible grades, fights, etc. So it was shocking/not shocking that he was the parent to "ground" me when I got my first C, the one I had to hide the fact I got caught cheating on an AP chem exam... stuff like that. We had our differences because of what I felt was hypocrisy and what he likely knew was hypocrisy but certainly had the right as a Dad to want better from us. -
