Theoretically, that Masters win should open up a floodgate for Rory so to speak at majors going forward. For a while, he couldn't get out of his own way but the monkey of his back. I do agree though that there may be some hangover, understandably. X man finished top 10 at Augusta. T12/T8/T18 in his last 3. Hard for me to leave him off a top 10. But I appreciate the more surprising shots with Day, Berger, Garcia and Griffin.

So Babbit Was Murdered After All...

I also see a lot of people posting in this topic who I would bet had no issues with things like the BLM protests which, while largely peaceful, had their fair share of destructive incidents that involved breaking into businesses, property destruction, looting, arson, etc. Would it have been okay to shoot and kill any of those rioters? (I say no and I bet they do too) A business is someone's place of livelihood... if they were inside and rioters broke in... okay to kill? I was just given a comparison to my place of work being broken into, so -

Both you and Tim are assuming I have not seen any video. Just because I don't let Jan 6 consume and have some questions about it doesn't mean i've never seen video or read anything. I am glad you are able to see that your link is a quick summary of what and why but not HOW they came to their conclusion, like I stated. Again, I am not saying I would agree or disagree, I am saying a press release is usually not enough for you to link and say "what do you disagree with", as they are not often very specific. Yes, I say triggered because it sounds like you are getting agitated with the fact that I have questions or the fact that my personal feeling is that no one needed to be shot. Kind of telling that no one else was shot on Jan 6th, no? -

Now you sound like you are getting triggered, when I specifically said that I do not follow this closely or let it consume me and that I had legitimate questions. I had no idea she committed any violent acts or that most of the rioters committed any violent acts. I don't believe breaking and entering / property damage is considered a violent crime. A majority of your linked press release is just a breakdown of what occurred on that day. I don't disagree with any of it (like I said, never should have happened) and I would say the way it is laid out would indeed make me wonder why a gun was fired. the closing statement of the release simply says "no evidence to establish beyond a reasonable doubt that the officer willfully committed a violation of 18 U.S.C. § 242".... it does not explain how or why they came to that conclusion. Which I wouldn't expect a press release to do. So I really can't say if I agree with their findings or reasoning -

I didn't mean you were saying she was the leader of the entire Jan 6 crowd, but you ARE saying she was leading the mob... do you just mean she happened to be the first one attempting to go through the window? These are legit questions, I'm not trying to bait you or anything. I am not a "maga republican" so I have no reason to blindly defend Ashli Babbitt. Was the window she was crawling through a choke point? It sounds like you're saying she was the first / person attempting to lead a mob in. How is it that subduing one person would "allow the rest of the crowd in?" They would have all been able to spill in at once? -

Fun scenario. You've decided it's "pandemonium" so we will go with that. And due to the nature of the work there is tremendous security, yet they were beaten by a mostly unarmed mob of people. I assume in this situation, since you are trying to paint a comparison, there is an armed guard in shooting distance of the busted open window? Since my armed guard has a gun, and the mob member does not, my preference would be use physical (not deadly) force on this first person crawling through the window. Unless you want to paint a scenario where I am in Olympus Has Fallen. If that's the case, gimme Gerard Butler killing mother fuckers -

I was not aware she had a folding knife. Thank you for letting me know. I assume she was waving this knife around and attempting to stab people? How do you know what the intent of the "lawless mob" (typical bombastic language like I mentioned before) was? Or more importantly, what HER intent was? Since you just said she was the leader. Would the more appropriate action be to use physical force to subdue her and cuff her? or shoot her? Look, i'm not saying she was a smart woman. And I am sure there was a lot of confusion that day... I just can't think of many examples where someone who is unarmed (if the knife was in her pocket for example) and committing a non violent crime (in this case breaking and entering?) would be shot and killed as an appropriate response -
that is extra embarrassing

Admittedly, I kind of don't get involved much with this stuff because on one hand, the entire events of that day should have never happened... but on the other hand, the left have painted the events as MUCH bigger than they actually were. Shit, just read "Killing of Ashli Babbitt" on wikipedia and you can tell which side wrote it. The bombastic language used is typical of how the left want/need that day to be remembered. so being that I have not been obsessed with it for the past 4+ years, I do have some questions such as... how many weapons did she have on her when she crawled through that window in order for that shooting to "potentially save members of Congress and staff from serious injury and possible death" where a bullet was the best option? -

I mean, I believe there are still some states that don't have full castle doctrine and still incorporate a duty to retreat first, if possible. but also, whose house was this? -

Oh yeah, and i've also been without Josh Lowe all season who was supposed to team with Junior Caminero, Yandy Diaz and my supplemental picks of Corbin Carroll and Oneil Cruz to form a somewhat competitive offense.

Like a few others on the forum, he can't help it. I don't know what you're selling on ebay but I do doubt that its ALL ebay sales. People on ether side are concerned about the near term economy. A lot of times when this happens, we see people avoiding big luxury purchases... like cars for example, but we often see an uptick in small luxury purchases. Think hand bags for the women and libs . Overpriced coffees, lots of things. The idea behind it is that people view those smaller luxury items as a needed treat for themselves during stressful / uncertain times. Individually, they won't break the bank and bring that temporary serotonin boost. Practically speaking the spending is often much worse since the boost in happiness and usefulness of those purchases is much more fleeting and can quickly add up to and surpass the cost of that larger luxury item. I would bet people are still buying pre owned Jordans, the crazy Labubu things my nieces are obsessed with, designer bags, etc.. If you were reselling that kind of stuff you're probably loving it right now.

Shane McClanahan Zach Eflin Blake Snell Tyler Glasnow Aaron Civale None are done for the season, but what was supposed to be my teams strength has taken quite a few hits. Considering I still have the full Tampa rotation plus Nathan Eovaldi and Jeffrey Springs and did NOT use a supplemental pick on SP for the first time I can recall, I salivate at the thought of an entirely healthy rotation for 'Trouble at the Trop"

What’s the exercise? When I saw the thread title I assumed it was going to be posters making projections and updating them as the draft approaches but it’s just going to be you updating us on draftbuzz? As for number of first round QBs, the teams that immediately jump to mind include Indy, Pittsburgh, Cleveland if Shadeur doesn’t prove to be above average, Vegas and Seattle who are both rolling with middling veterans / guys with 1 good season and LA Rams will need an heir to Stafford. That’s 6 potentially. I would love to add the Jets to that list but I fear they will trick themselves into believing Fields is a franchise guy. The Giants could be interesting if they have a bad season and top 5 pick again. Unless Dart looks the part, a new regime may opt for their own franchise guy.

That's fine. Thanks for letting us know as dropping Ian Anderson would have made *Nick Anderson fair game for other teams without the explanation. which is my fault for not checking all placeholders... there were just so many of them and I got lazy I'm surprised anyone is still holding onto a placeholder to be honest.

Yeah, I feel like all "athletes" should be able to handle criticism. I think it's still fairly gross when "grown ass men" as some people are fond of saying, hide behind a screen telling someone to kill themselves, etc. But I also feel like the easiest way to combat that is to stay off social media and ignore pathetic people. -

like I said, I don't follow it closely. I vaguely remember when she started and I would assume that was more during the time period where facebook was cool but before twitter/X, IG, tiktok, etc. edit: apparently she started in 2011? So I am right in regard to facebook still being cool.... although twitter and IG were around, I don't think they were nearly as popular yet. -
this should be good

i don't follow nascar very closely but how do we know previous female drivers didn't receive death threats? I would also imagine that internet tough guys and bullying is more prevalent now with the social media landscape than it was back in Danica Patricks era. -
