I'm not claiming to know how pilots get hired by certain airlines. Does a pilot have to come up through testing with the airline they will be flying for? Or do they obtain their license and THEN get hired from a pool of other licensed pilots? I just got finished saying that i've never seen a black pilot and wondered if they were qualified. Possibly BECAUSE I know that all pilots should be very qualified. Doesn't change the fact that some pilots are better than others. I am not saying that in DEI situations, companies are hiring completely unqualified candidates for positions. Almost anyone can function to some degree in middle management, for example. I'm saying DEI created an optics culture that lead to less qualified candidates being hired. I know it for a fact. Every time I hired someone who was not the female candidate or minority candidate, I had to sit down with HR and answer questions about my decision process, because they clearly would have preferred I hire a minority candidate... and my experience was not unique. the fact that you think it's all DEI lies is hilarious and, imho, shows how brainwashed you are by the left.

I happen to believe that you, and others, take anyone with a realistic view and label them racist if it fits your narrative. A microcosm of the democratic party, if you will. For example, if I see a black pilot, I don't think anything. I've never seen any pilot and wondered if they were qualified or anything else about them. HOWEVER, reality is DEI and affirmative action created situations in all sectors and all companies where they felt a need to pander to optics above all else and many times hires have been made of less qualified candidates in order to fill a quota. So if someone points this out it doesn't make them racist just because you want them to be

If he plays tomorrow evening, on a pitch count, would you start him or would you go for broke with Audric Estime against the Jets? Jacob’s has put up solid numbers while gimpy the past few weeks but the upside seems limited even if he plays

unfortunately

i think the chiefs could go run heavy, i wouldn't be surprised if hollywood has a random pop off game. Worthy could be startable but i'm not sure I do it over any of those 3.

i probably have not seen the movie since I was 10 so, im sure that plays a part.

I’m confident calling Jefferson the bust and Javonte the “sleeper”. MVP is debatable. I lean Taylor as he usually was going in round 2 while the other listed backs were round 1
-
Seems like wonky scoring. Either way it wasn’t good last time they played the Rams and I’m fairly certain the Rams are a bad matchup for opposing DSTs most of the year. I drafted them in every league and sat them in all but 1 (the one I missed the playoffs) in favor of Saints and Bills. They still scored +3 to +6 in my leagues due to the shaheed return Td
-
That’s user error. Their worst game all season was last time they played Stafford and LA. Should have picked up Buffalo, New Orleans, etc. though if your league scores return TDs, and it should, they were still positive on the night
-
Yes I know. In reality there is no reason to ever cash out. I was drunk. What do I care about a few hundred dollars when 500+k is on the line? Cash out should only be considered if everything is settled as a win and you have a leg or 2 in the night cap and the cash out offer is substantial
-
I havnt checked this thread lately but a few weeks ago I came dangerously close to hitting a 16 leg touchdown parlay for 550K. I cashed out for a few hundred because I didn’t think it had a legit chance and then the last 1pm leg hit and I had to watch the afternoon games sweating my ass off praying someone didn’t score…. And JSN did not

Punchable was the most ambiguous category, I think. Even more so than wildcard. I used wildcard for what I felt were iconic characters that didn’t really fit as hero, villain, etc. I think a lot of Villains are punchable .. for example Biff. I don’t actually think of him as a true villain but I do think he has one of the most punchable faces. I tended to view the category as annoying/smarmy characters… hence Kevin from home alone, Worm from rounders, etc.
-
I would have picked biff for punchable
-
both of these are fair points. I will say a lot of my picks are characters I would have drafted had I actually been in this from the start. Stark/Ironman for sure, Marty McFly, Ty Webb, Lacy Underall... i may not have touched MCU other than Black Widow, though. Along with all the picked characters I would have been able to draft like Indiana Jones, Hans Gruber, Roy McAvoy, etc... (David Simms from tin cup might have made for a good punchable face pick)

pretty nice. I collected a bunch of silver a while back. Mostly 90% coins and some sterling pieces. Even rounding down the current melt price, the pre 64 quarters alone are worth about $2K -

I mean, obviously I agree with all of this. I'd remove Geno from your example but the rest are perfect. Even someone like Bo Nix kind of feels like that, though he was a first rounder. I believe the Jets will take a QB with the earlier of their first round picks. Normally, i'd be against it, but in their situation they have spent draft capital on the offense line in recent drafts with Fashanu, Tippmann and Membou... and obviously with offensive weapons in Wilson, Hall (who i expect to be tagged) and Mason Taylor. I even kind of like the more minor moves they made to test out young WRs with a change of scenery in Mitchell and Metchie. They also have the Colts improving 1st rounder if they want to draft another WR. It's a totally different situation than when they forced the Zach Wilson pick.
