if you could read, you would see that in this guys league, IDP's also get points for anything they generate on offense.

Might as well just do a dice roll again this year and I am fine with keeping it like last year where highest roll gets to choose their spot first and so on down the line. Not sure we need to kick that off just yet, but whenever.

See I read it completely different. I thought he had the #1 pick in the draft and his choice was between Chase and Bijan. Not that he HAD all those players last season.

I picked Jakobi Meyers last night because I saw 2 QB's I would be interested in selecting with only Ralphster needing a QB between my 7th and 8th round picks. I was hoping Bo Nix would be available but I will settle for my 2nd choice. There is part of me that wants to wait but part of me that wants to draft a bit differently than the June Mock. -
That time of year again: Camp injury news (Jaydon Blue)

As a Jets fan, I did not want him. Hear me out... Although they signed him to a 2 year deal, my fear was a Daniel Jones type situation where Fields does just enough to trick the Jets into believing they don't need to address the QB position for the future. This team, largely as currently constructed, won 7 games with Zach Wilson and some other scrubs just 2 years ago. Better (and more stable) coaching, plus Fields ability with his legs and I could easily see him hero balling the Jets to 9-10 wins. That would be great for fans, especially if they ended their playoff drought, but it's also a situation where Woody might get enamored and even if his overall numbers are not great and he still doesn't pass the eye test as a franchise QB, the Jets might buy in. BUT, I was starting to come around to it. Do I really think they can fix his accuracy issues? Maybe not but lets see. This is the route they went. I know he has talent, a big arm, mobility, etc. Can they turn him into a poor mans Lamar Jackson? (for the record I think Lamar is a tremendous athlete who is highly overrated as a QB) and he was definitely on my radar for FF since there are a ton of stable QB's you can pair him with -
Op does state that most keepers are later draft picks. So I would be curious if 1st round picks are even allowed as keepers and/or if their keeper price tag for the following season is round 1. I think it's pretty tough to keep a round 1 pick unless you do well this year and have a very late selection in the first round where just about any round 1 player will still be fair value. If that is the case then yes, it would make me lean slightly toward Chase regardless of format because you are more assured that his adp will be in round 1 next year and for years to come, whereas Bijan could be Jonathan Taylor all of a sudden and then the value to keep isn't there anymore. But lets say you had to throw back your round 1 picks no matter what, or payers drafted before round 3 can't be kept (if the cost is round drafted plus 2 rounds and escalates each year)... it's not a big concern to me because there will always be round 1 worthy talent available to draft.

sounds like your kinda' toys!

It all depends on league format. If forced to start 2 RB, I would lean Bijan. Stud RBs are more scarce than stud WRs and reliable backs are even more scarce than their WR counterparts. Once you have Bijan, you can use your next two turn picks on what will likely still be some pretty good WR options. If your league loves to flex everything and you can get away with starting just one RB and lets say 4 WRs, then I would lean Chase because I think those leagues are won by stacking receivers.

Rice was certainly on my radar, as was Tet. I drafted Rice in the June Mock, before most recent news... if he only gets 4 games, I will feel I made a mistake. If he gets 6-8 or something then I won't be disappointed. I even considered him where I picked Ridley. Ridley I think is going to be a steal this year as a WR3 or in some cases 4. Pollard doesn't excite me but he gives me a floor at RB3 with no shared bye weeks. -

Well, as TBay told us, this guy won the league last year... without CMC. So if you add CMC at a reasonable sub $5 cost, to a core of Nabers, Higgins and Nacua... In a dynasty, I agree. But in a keeper league where the cost is pretty low, I don't mind keeping CMC or even buying him (as TBay was initially trying to do). worst case scenario, he flames out, you don't keep him next year and you have some cap freed up to keep other players you drafted in 2025 seems a moot point anyway as TBay has traded Barkley and Mayfield.

i'm not in love with where pick 8 is fitting with various runs. Kittle was someone on my radar and I almost talked myself into Evans in round 3 but reasoned that Kamara was still RB5 in PPR points per gam last season. Hoping they funnel the offense through him with QB concerns. -

Oh I totally get why you traded Barkley and how it's difficult to get value for expensive keepers. Like I said, it makes sense for you. With Burrow/Penix and Chase/JSN/Rice you get a lot of flexibility with your first 3 picks. Depending on which players are back in the draft pool, I wouldn't even hesitate to use #2 on a WR. Not sure when you need to declare keepers and when your draft is but maybe some more info will come out regarding Rice.

What makes you think I didn't read the article? I asked why you were only posting about this now. Did you only learn about this today, from that article? Pelosi is one of the lib heroes, no?

The Barkley trade sounds great for the guy getting Barkley. Dropping 7 picks in round 1 and 3 (which i'm going to assume is more like rounds 5 and 7 with the amount of players that will be kept) to be able to keep a top 5 redraft pick. Of course it also makes sense for you if you didn't plan to or want to keep Barkley at all. The Mayfield trade is great for you. Allows you a pick to use to fortify your RB room and now having picks 2, 11 and 12 gives you some flexibility to even take a 4th top tier WR if available. I'm still not sure if you have said this is PPR or not, so i'm assuming it is, and whenever a league has so many flex spots and the ability to only start 1 RB, all WR go up in my rankings. ... my guess is the guy who won last year whose roster you mentioned in your initial post was able to do so because of his WR room. I would still personally keep Rice over Odunze. I think the suspension is the biggest issue but when on the field, you're talking about the #1 WR for the leagues most talented QB. He's a WR1. With Odunze we just really don't know yet. What will Caleb be? DJ Moore still there. Drafted Burden and Loveland. i'd rather have the guy we've seen produce before who has the better QB

I'm not down on him, he had good numbers with lesser QB play. Still the risk of a very run heavy offense and inaccurate QB play, regardless of rapport. I probably don't want to draft him this year but not exactly avoiding him. He's a fine WR2 in round 3
