Worked pretty well

Then the Harris English side… I don’t think he has any good course history here. that’s why I like the players so much. You do need form but you also usually need course history both in terms of experience and actual past good finishes. also read somewhere that most winners lately have come from the am/pm draw even if we don’t count that whacky 2022 when Cam won. I think Scottie was pm/am last year but if you go back 15 years or something most winners go off early Thursday it’s a fun but slightly gimmicky course

Hov also just hates his game right now and is vocal about it. Not even just the putting. I think if Zal catches a halfway decent putting week he is a great bet. but then Hov has a bit of a track record here so
-
If Hovland can get the putter right he is a great pick this week. reason I asked if cloaca was making his own picks was because they felt like cloaca guys but also felt like it could be an odds chart. Then again, homa was way down there these days
-
Cloaca has the best name value team lol was he making those last few picks or was that auto pick on ranks?
-
I'll take the horse Tom Hoge and the upside guy will be my alt Nic Hojgaard
-
you guys left me one course horse I like and 1 upside play I like ... still pondering
-
Just got back from golf. First round of the new season. Ugggggly. 7 penalty shots. I had my first eagle of the season on a chip in before getting my first birdie (none) Let me see who has been picked before I select mr irrelevant. mr irrelevant on team irrelevant

thanks bury. and sorry GB... I just picked random dudes and should have paid more attention to the team they were on. I think I even gave someone a tampa guy as a placeholder.
-
you don't. Simply have to be the first to nab them when they are added. It's unfortunate but I think in the past we tried making those claims here in a separate thread but you had to drop someone and add a random placeholder player. but it was kind of a nightmare because many owners check out of FFToday once the drafts are done and stick to the yahoo page only.

Yes, Mora explained it perfectly and much more concise than me. haha Since we still have 6 days until the soft opener, you get to deal with me analyzing my team! C - Danny Jansen (Rortvedt)..... gross. But really getting Jansen and not having to use something higher than a 6th for him was great for me. The Rays have never prioritized catcher and do not have a lot of options. The only way this position was going to get better for me was dArnaud (bot only if I got both). 1B - Yandy Diaz (Luke Raley)... comfortable here. i doubt Diaz returns to 2023 form though. Raley seems to have an everyday role in Seattle. Also b. Lowe had 1B eligibility 2B - Brandon Lowe (Jose Caballero) .... Lowe is a nice power bat second baseman if he stays healthy. BIG if. If Caballero gets playing time, he is a big steals guy SS - Willy Adames (Cruz) ... was $ last year. You don't think of him as a top fantasy SS but his numbers were sneakily top 5-6. 3B - Junior Caminero (Morel)... need a breakout from Caminero OF - Josh Lowe, Corbin Carroll, Oneil Cruz (Pham, Morel, Palacios, Raley, Siri)... Was a total shtshow before the supplemental. My only draftable OF worth much was Randy, so I pivoted to SP heavy and made the early decision to leave this spot for the Supp. Carroll was my main target as I think he has 30-50 upside. Missing Chuirio was maybe a blessing incase I need to spot start Cruz at SS. His strikeouts are bad but he has power and speed. Lowe is another Ray who needs to return to 2023 levels. The bench is full of useful players that I am glad I don't need to rely on.... for now. Util - Christopher Morel (anyone already mentioned).... He has power, and multi position eligibility. 21 long balls last year. Ideal Util? no. But certainly better now that I don't have to start him in the OF. SP - Blake Snell, Shane McClanahan (Glasnow, Eovaldi, Eflin, Springs, Bradley, Baz, Pepiot, Rasmussen, Littell, Civale)... team strength. Lots of injury risks but I can go 11 deep, 12 deep if the Rays opt for a 6 man rotation or trade away Littel. Nabbing Littel in the draft was actually key in case they option Baz or Pepiot as Littell is the only starter out of options. The core of this unit has high strikeout potential along with wins as most play for good or solid teams but total workload may tamper some of those numbers as well as QS. RP - Faucher, Alvarado (Uceta, Kelly, Clevinger, Kittredge IL)... The news of the injury to Kittredge is a real kick to the nuts. My team has no strong closer but I felt okay with his setup role in Baltmore after missing out on Fairbanks, Yates and Adam. Faucher may be the closer in Miami (yay), and Alvarado has looked good in spring so he should at least be a primary setup man if not compete for saves. I was excited to get Uceta. Fairbanks never stays healthy and may be a prime trade candidate if Tampa starts to sell. Had to scramble to ass Pagan for depth while Kittredge is on the shelf. I don't feel great overall, but then again I never feel great.... but i've had some luck making the playoffs. I just don't think there is another team in this league that has the same combinations of 1. devoid of exclusive talent 2. devoid of top end shared talent for the draft 3. ravaged by pitching injuries and needing guys to return to form Tigers? Angels? maybe

how many legs? I assume similar to the ones you have posted for elevated events but with this being full field the odds are longer for each individual leg. I still prefer FD to DK but when I tried making one a month ago I noticed they would not let me add an outright winner to the parlay and I believe capped me at 10 legs. I know we are talking lottery ticket parlays here but I feel like golf is much harder than the lotto ones I put in each week on NFL anytime TD scorers. Those are anywhere from 15-19 legs, $1-2 to win 900k-1M. and somehow they feel oddly possible.

Big names seem to be fine. David Robertson, JD Martinez for example are in the database. but then oddly someone like Jose Quintana was not when I did the draft. He was obviously added later after signing with Milwaukee. but I agree… if a player played last season, they should be in the database even if they signed a minor league deal. So it sounds like, in your case, if it’s an exclusive you can drop the place holder obviously and add the drafted guy at any time. If it’s a non exclusive, you’ll have to decide if you want to roster the place holder. View the place holder as the guy you drafted. If he’s in free agent limbo it would be a dead roster spot anyway. If you drop the placeholder, whoever else can claim him is free to.
-
How did you feel about the big drops in summer 2021 that lasted basically all of 2022 as well?
-
Honestly great question and I don’t know how we handle this. for example if this is a player your team signed to a minor league contract and never played for your team before, I’d think you lose them. They don’t meet the requirement of having ever had an at bat or a pitch for you and are not on your MLb teams active roster. You’d have no right to hold them unless maybe they remain in your minor league system? if it’s someone who has accumulated stats for your mlb team in the past and was signed to a different team, I would think you are more than welcome to hold onto them but once you drop the placeholder it’s as if you dropped the pick. You certainly can’t use that roster spot for other purposes than waiting for yahoo to add the guy you drafted.

I think my list was ravaged again and I’m currently on the road once I get home I’ll look things over and make my picks

Bump

I agree I guess you just never know if some fringe player got signed or some camp invitee is looking like a roster lock now but you’re most likely correct

^ 2 guys I considered and if they stumble on an even average week with the putter, can win.

i've been on fire with CBB gambling lately. Mostly using profit boost offers... not making a ton of bets every day. A lot of player prop overs. Mark Sears was gold for me until the game against Auburn, LJ Cryer has been money. Some big white dude for Kansas . Michigan/MSU under on Sunday. Now they are offering 30% underdog ML boost each day. I hit Troy last night. Any opinions for one today?

I wish! Although this one was actually very similarly built, same hair color, probably 1 level down facially.

I also just realized that I started sucking hard at this when I stopped commenting in an attempt to appease edjr ... who is gonna find something to quit over anyway. maybe I need to get back to my old ways!
