agreed but I think the original point or discussion being had between RHR and peenie was around the idea that legal immigrants are living in fear because of the deportations. Which I think is fairly false. When I hear about people being in fear because of the color of their skin as it relates to deportation, it is almost always a white woman making that claim on behalf of others. And the legal immigrants who I can recall expressing some hesitations are more along the lines of TDS people

i have two cousins who are half colombian and one who is full colombian adopted. my best friend is puerto rican. a former co-worker/girlfriend who I am still very close with is from ecuador. These are just the people closest to me who I know for a fact are in no fear as "brown" people. they are actually all fairly liberal and don't agree with the deportations and obviously hate trump but the ex co-worker/gf is all for the deportations. because her and her family did it the right way and she hates that illegals are being given benefits. still, none of them are claiming any fear for themselves or have had any issues.

The article I remember reading, which was again from a federal reserve bank (I think Dallas) and showed the steepest increase being in Q3 2021. Yes, the article was from october or december of 2021 but still showed a steeper increase in 2021 than anything that was seen in 2020. Splitting hairs a bit but just saying. Technically I am more accurate saying 2021/2022 if the data shows late 2021. I would say price spike defintely started pre Biden, even if we include all of 2020 (really it didn't start until post covid hitting) and even if we pretend prices are still spiking at the same rate right now... that means it encompasses the entirety of the Biden admin and 1 year, 7 months of Trump.

you probably missed where I didn't blame Biden FOR inflation . Causing inflation and doing little to combat it in 4 years in office are two entirely different things there, champ. Yes. We all know why mortgage rates started going up. The main plan to fight inflation was to let the fed raise interest rates which leads to higher mortgage rates. They should come down if the fed lowers rates. Something the previous administration didn’t seem to want and Trump wants. At this very moment, OMG TARIFFS, are part of the reason but there was ample time to lower them a bit more before he was even in office. So yeah, my comment was in response to rusty (look at me learning aliases) making a post with an article linked claiming the slow down in home buying is, naturally, TRUMP! When in reality, both the dramatic rise in mortgage rates as well as the dramatic rise in home prices happened during the Biden admin. Both of which are key factors and probably the largest factors in the slow d pace of home buying.

it's not really a matter of being scared of Trump the person or not being scared of Biden the person... more so the perceived response from a particular party being in office. I simply don't think Russia ever feared true US retaliation under the Biden admin. Maybe he doesn't fear it under Trump admin either but I think he likely realizes there is a greater chance of negative consequences. some drones killed 5 people a day after a call back in June, 1 being a child. Terrible thing. Where does that attack/ body count stack up against 3 years of idle war funding? Do we really think if Biden had been willing to talk to Putin, the same exact type of thing doesn't happen? cmon now. Look, if libs want us to just keep funding Ukraine for the next decade? longer? so they can keep their Ukraine flags out, have protests and post on social media about standing with Ukraine, go for it.

Purdy, Darnold and Wright it's a 2 QB league which means a lot of QBs are likely to be kept. Keeping 2 does not or should not stop you from drafting one highly. Darnold can be a solid QB3 once your roster is complete and in a league like this, that is almost worth more than your weekly starting 4th RB or WR. And I assume this is an 8 or maybe a 10 team league at most. WRs are easier to find in later rounds or in free agency/waivers so I would lean toward keeping one RB over Waddle or Coleman. TBay already outlines above why I would keep Wright over Allen. Additionally, Allen was not very effective last season. If Breece were to actually be traded, I would swap Allen in over Wright but barring a trade, Hall is not losing his job.

Harrison wasn't great, as many anticipated. Not on this list but could make a leap.... Pearsall, Benson, ... of course there are other RB's that could leap based on an injury alone. Braelon Allen I would need to see how the offense operates. Allen was not very good last year, as in not very efficient. Davis was actually much better per touch. Everyone is thinking the Jets will now utilize 2 backs the way Detroit did but I am not so sure. Detroit did not have a defacto RB in Jared Goff the way the Jets do with Fields.
