I have always loved Keenan Allen. I hope he softens his stance on going to Pitt or at least ends up back in LA. -

i'm not sure if I have made a single selection (been on the clock) in this mock during 9-5 eastern time working hours -
@RaiderHaters Revenge @Meglamaniac formed in 2022, year 1 was on Yahoo before we switched to ESPN. It's a PPR redraft that starts 1QB, 1RB, 2WR, 1TE and 2Flex... plus kicker and DST with 7 bench and 2 IR spots. Passing TD's are 4 and I believe some crybabies wanted turnovers less impactful so interceptions and fumbles lost are -1. We have been 3 divisions of 4 because that works out perfectly with the NFL schedule to have each team play division opponents twice and all other teams once before playoffs begin. Playoffs are 3 division winners and next 3 best records with tie breaker being total points forced. We have separate discussion threads on the league forum for scoring and rule changes. Perhaps some people would prefer 2 conferences or just 1 league with top 6 making the playoffs $50 entry fee with payouts for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. There has been a lot of chatter about weekly high score payouts. (I am personally against it with the low buy in)

this is the geek balls redraft league that I started in 2022 not the die nasty dynasty.

Shovel with the stinging snipe -
Extra context. Moz hasn't posted prior to this since he stole people's money and vanished from the website

As TBay noted, I doubt you are hearing it as much as you claim. It's a cutesy saying that you maybe hear 3-4 times a year from a talking head. But technically, it is the best. Bottom line is if you can't stay on the field, none of your other talents and abilities really matter.

Very well said. Topic seems a little pointless as, obviously, we are talking about comparing NFL players to other NFL players and usually players who are rated similarly. Also this saying is more born out of people saying "Player A is really good. Look what he did in the first 6 games last season. Now extrapolate that over a full season and he'd have been a top 12 WR!". That's great, but if player A misses chunks of the season on a consistent basis, he offers you nothing for fantasy purposes or his team for real life purposes when he's not on the field.

I oppose fundamental changes to the SNAP program
WhiteWonder replied to cmh6476's topic in The Geek Club
While I am not completely against SNAP and assistance programs in general, one of the first things that comes to mind is that when you chose to have kids, you chose to support them and should you really need anyone's assistance? Abortions still exist, right? ... that is my over the top, sarcastic response Now before the super libs jump down my throat, I am fully aware that circumstances happen and people lose their jobs or get pay cuts etc. I already said I am not totally against assistance programs. I am fully FOR any measure that can put an end to fraud in these programs. No one should be receiving government benefits and then selling them for cash. The benefits are for something specific and I don't want to hear any nonsense about how cash can be used for other things the family needs, because lets be real... For food assistance specifically, I am FOR any rules and regulations that dictate what benefits can be used for and what they can't be used for. I remember this debate from another thread and I still believe that these programs have every right to dictate the benefits only be used on healthy foods and they can choose what the deem healthy. Work requirements should exist, imo and be expanded. Making these programs exempt from work requirements makes it far too easy for people to pop out kids and be happy to spend their whole lives living off assistance programs and in many cases getting more assistance than they even need, living above their means (of which they really have none). As for your concern with states running things, I won't disagree. also, when I think about assistance programs, specifically food ones, I can't help but think about how dirt cheap it is to grow your own fruits and vegetables... even if all you have is a small balcony or patio with planters. Or the fact that I often go fishing/crabbing and keep and cook what I catch. But yeah, as long as the government is paying us, lets get our cases of soda and microwave dinners. -
i may as well have

Thanks As soon as Nix went, this was my plan. Was not originally going to be Purdy but he is one of the ones I can envision myself pairing with Fields. Also as much as the no hassle format does creep into my mind from time to time when making choices, this is the exact strategy I plan to deploy in my normal redraft leagues if I don't land Nix. -
I know, I was just having fun when I got home from the game. Was in a good mood since Tampa came back down 5-1 to win 7-5 and McNeil got a single in the bottom of the 9th to cash my parlay Jerry, you're more than welcome to enter scores along with me

Wow Pacers Players Can't Make A Foul Shot ?
WhiteWonder replied to BeenHereBefore's topic in The Geek Club
I imagine shooting free throws in an NBA game, after running up and down the court a bunch, with fans siting behind the basket trying to distract you, other teams players chirping and the general pressure is slightly different than a 55 year old dude alone at the local ymca. (I also bet you're not hitting them at a 50% clip) that said, it is pretty sad that guys can't all hit 80%+ when they get paid so much $$ to play it for a living. -
