exactly. more than a bit overrated, imo. of course she is attractive. Sydney Sweeney's fame stems from her compelling performances in popular television series like Euphoria and The White Lotus, along with her early roles in The Handmaid's Tale and Everything Sucks! Were her performances compelling? I have heard of two of those shows and couldn't even remember her in Handmaid's Tale... not that I saw that many episodes. Her popularity seems to have exploded in the last 2 years as she seemingly is the newest female sex symbol. Did she go full nude in a show or movie that catapulted her? If I had to guess, I would say she won't have much staying power

to google! Adams had 169 twice with Rodgers when he played 15+ games and 114 with the Jets in 11 games... Jordy had 150+ in 2014 and 2016. I think Rodgers has a tendency to force feed "his guy". That said, I also think he and Metcalf may have friction as Metcalf is not the most crisp of route runners to say the least. I will certainly be interested to see how that offense looks. Perhaps Jaylen Warren is being slept on just a little in PPR formats.

Good points. I simply go off memory a lot and don't google stuff. My memory tells me Rodgers prefers veterans, guys he has played with, and didn't historically use his TE's much. I suppose the TE part is maybe unfair. I do recall Finley having decent games and seasons. As far as the issue being lack of talent at the TE position, I am not sure Jonnu satisfies that. Obviously if a QB has Brock Bowers, he's going to utilize him. I also used to sometimes figure it was GB game plan, more so than Rodgers but as the years went on Rodgers was doing what he wanted anyway. Without the great option at WR2, I can see Jonnu getting more targets than one would initially think. So maybe there is some dark horse potential there.

I glanced at him when picking Ertz (admittedly I did want Kincaid) and my thing with Smith is that Friermuth is still there right? and Rodgers has historically not utilized tight ends that much.

Im just going by last year as I did not see any final decision in the 2025 winter meetings on paying 3rd. Just suggestions by edjr for if we had 11 members with larger entry fee's I took last year's payout structure and subtracted $25 each from jerrys payout and yours to account for edjr leaving mid season resulting in $50 less in the edex pot. Money has been sent to both of you

Nevermind. I found the Open 2024 thread and see that we intended to pay 1st and 2nd but we wound up paying 3 people because quitjr and fumbleweed tied for 2nd.

apologies for the delay in season payout. As i told Jerry I intended to do this friday but then I was at Jets taining camp and was crabbing saturday. the lord rests on sunday, which explains why I did so poorly picking golfers. I was just about to send out payments but now I am unsure if we paid 1st and 2nd or 1st 2nd 3rd last year? If anyone remembers please let me know.

i came very close to taking a stab on Pitts in round 12. Im not totally sure why I didn't since I can probably find a WR5 if Tillman went... and Tillman could also be a huge bust but I think he has some upside as the WR2 (and possibly can surpass Jeudy). A lot will depend on the QB play.

I'm just chatting because I enjoy theory talk. I agree, teams who suffer less injuries have more luxury to carry, or hold onto, those speculative players. If injury is the main concern then the additional IR spot should help alleviate that. Especially as the IR spots can be used for any player designated as OUT. As for bigger rosters balancing out the WW issue, i'm not so sure. It certainly rewards owners who are better at identifying and hitting on speculative players... and while those owners should be rewarded, It might lead to less avenues for struggling teams to right the ship (via waiver priority or FCFS free agency), which in turn might lead to more teams being out of it earlier in the season. If you whiff on all your late round speculative players, sucks for you, but now you are double screwed as waivers and free agency will be bare. but if we are talking about going from 7 bench to 8, I don't think that is so drastic. I just don't want like 10 bench spots and 3 IR spots, etc.

12.05 - WR Cedric Tillman, CLE

Being plagued by injuries should be helped a bit by simply adding an IR spot. I am all for that. Perhaps hoarding is too strong of a word, but we all want to speculate on less heralded players. I always wish I had 5 extra bench spots to stash some guys I have a feeling about, as I'm sure lots of other owners do. That's why I sometimes call it hoarding. The desire to roster a number of speculative players and not have to potentially cut bait on them as you navigate roster management from week to week. The biggest issue, as Herbie just mentioned, is how thin free agency and waivers becomes. As those speculative players gain relevance, they have already been "hoarded" onto rosters since the draft. I am just giving my take on it, not being combative. If the majority of owners want 10 bench spots each, I will roll with what the majority wants.
